Oh my God... He is the God of Sound himself!!! I went to one of his concerts once and it was the most touching moment of my life... His music made me cry, made me laugh, made my blood boil in my veins, lifting my soul to the clouds... I am so in love with his genius!

what is genius about it is that he doesn't do things because they're difficult or to impress others, he just loves to express himself through his passion for music and watching him play is like an insight into his life, and his mind.
He finally came stateside and I'm SOOOO happy I got the chance to see a rare musical genius! Count yourselves lucky Europe you get amazing concerts and artists your way! Yann is so inspiring, it made me take up accordion to try and learn these songs.
I'm 17 and I've been to district, regional, and state band on the flute. everyone there treated music like a competition. this man represents everything music means to me, endless freedom and creativity. I so wish I could personally thank him.
I just bought a ticket at his concert in Bucharest on 4th nov and since I first had it in my hands I'm trembling of joy!!!!! I can't wait... Oh, and I'm going alone, because none of my brilliant friends won't come with me. What a delight=))

I feel as if he should be playing in a packed concert hall, surrounded by austere acoustics and reverent silence. Yet, the fact that he's playing outside to an audience that does not falter to show its appreciation just makes the performance that much better. I just discovered his music today, and I am astounded, amazed, enamored, and just generally swept away!

how does he come up with these songs? The different elements are so perfectly combined it's amazing. Some people just have music within them like that...
The part with the violin is really haunting, and what a body expression... Really, so much passion he puts in his music... U can feel the tension of it... With Wim Mertens one of the composers of modern classical music who can really make me emotional about music. Truelly moving. Words cannot express how his music makes me feel.

I really don't understand how people can't aprecciate the greatness of this kind of music... specially Yann tiersen's performances..... and prefer listening commercial empty music....
amazing! breathtaking! mind blowing! I just saw him last night...wow! wow! Modern day genius, I kid you not! Also, I find it admirable that he doesn't do the usual cheesy (I love you so and so city), but just uses music to express himself. Some people just have to learn that a simple Thank You is enough (or grazie or merci)
And I'll be seeing him april 21st in Chicago!!!! My musical hero!! I can play more of his songs on piano than all the other songs I know put together. lol

I'm gonna see him monday night in Zurich. I can't wait, it's gonna be sooooo awesome!! And even better because from may 1st, there will be no more smoking in public places, so we'll finally gonna be able to enjoy a concert in the front row without oxygen masks!!! :-)))
