As an avid prism break fan, i recommend using the S2 and using the multiple crystal path instead of the powerful beam path, trust me he becomes ridiculously good when you use him like this, especially in giants. I can understand your choice since in SSA with the other path as he is nowhere near as good.
I always found Prism Break to be underrated. I used his beam path and found great use out of his yellow beam because you can easily destroy the armoured Mowahk Cyclopses in one go, which I could barely do with any other Skylander. I really hate the earthy sound it makes in contrast to the base upgraded beam, though.
I respect your tenacity in making this list for over a hundred unique characters. The effort you must’ve put into this is incredible and I love how you included so many factors instead of just damage output

@skunkbrains5656 actually, dolphin emulator has an emulated skylanders portal that allows you to emulate skylanders figures! You can even do swap force figures and use the swap feature. Only problem is you are limited to the wii games
As a matter of fact they do. The RPCS3 Emulator not only has a working emulated portal, but supports all 6 of the main series games due to emulating the PS3. I personally use it and I can assure you it works
Flashwing being at 97th is painful since I mostly use her, but it makes sense. Thought her healing might stick her higher up. I've used and abused that mechanic to an extreme extent.
Same flashwing is very underrated her moves are complex and her design is unique but she’s not as loved as characters like thumpback or tree Rex and the Skylanders community she’s her as that one character that is there which sucks because she deserves tons of love

You know you've been detached from this franchise in a while when the only one you recognise in the top 10 is Krypt King 😂 He was probably my favourite Trap Master if not Jawbreaker. Guess I'll talk about the lowest spots then. Jet-Vac is the lowest on this list that I've played, and I never found him to be amazing (Air Skylanders as a whole are quite weak in my experience) and his primary is weak, but his secondary is very useful for sucking in out-of-reach food and coins (even behind walls), and his corkscrew attack is great, plus once you know that his suction attack recharges his flight, he's pretty easy to manage. Sprocket is pretty fun, but yeah agree with the majority that she is extremely weak, and no base upgrades for her primary doesn't help (though that's on me for choosing the other path). Wrecking Ball is pretty fun for me, but yeah without a ton of upgrades only his secondary is good and his soul gem is EXTREMELY underwhelming aside from healing and the fact it can charge his burp. Warnado is decent but he is pretty much useless against high-health enemies. I agree with Spyro being overrated; his biggest advantage is his Soul Gem but I consider Cynder to be pretty much a direct upgrade over him since she can dash right through enemies. Eruptor is also weak and all his base upgrades are crap; I agree his eruption path is good. I remember when people thought Ninjini was the most OP thing ever (likely because she was extremely rare); I never upgraded her fully but she seemed solid.

Stealth elf is honestly better in the 3ds version in my opinion since she has a fast firing projectile attack that deals more damage then it probably should
I'm really happy that High Five got so high on the list. He's always been one of my favorites and definitely deserves some credit for how fun he is, both in design and personality.
I've found that nightfall is quite good on the bottom path. By abusing the secondary attack's invincibility AND being able to do damage while being invincible makes her a lot better at dealing with crowds.

Ah yes, a 58 minutes video about ranking Skylanders. A franchise that I only know it's existence through Scott the Woz videos, this will be perfect entertainment for the housework.
My first ever Ps4 game was Skylander swap force, and me and my brother used to play it a lot. I was Countdown (134) and my brother was Grim Creeper (14), and honestly I could feel quite a bit the power difference, but that was never really a problem to me since I loved my character so much. Those two have a special place in my heart.
I personally enjoy Star Strike, but I understand why she's so high on the list. Her playstyle requires a lot of precision and can be quite tricky, but she's oddly satisfying to play. Though, I don't tend to go into higher difficulties, just don't care for it. I also play deja vu as well, though, all the skylanders tend to be fun for me.
My bias definitely made me upset when I’d see you put one of my favorites really low, but then you’d give a great reason why you put that skylander there and I’d completely agree. Especially on skylanders that had a flying move. Great video! I miss skylanders so much… yet I never even beat imaginators lol
I wish wrecking ball had some more flow and versatility in his kit, maybe a tongue sweep as a combo, then maybe let burp start combos so you could charge belch into sweep for a good damage crowd control combo with a bit of a start-up as a trade off wich would be something that would add extra use to the roll since it could grant you distance to start a charged burp ..... Idk something like that. Also letting you freely input the direction you travel on roll start up animation, free from his initial direction. Also I honestly have a unhealthy amount of love for zap, I do wish we saw more spacing options in his kit since enemy manipulation feels like it's supposed to be his gimmick, mobile with the ability to hamper enemy movement while dealing consistent low tick damage. Maybe making the wave carry enemies away with it so you can wash away and suppress problem enemies to deal with later..... If that was to much maybe make it consume a good chunk/fully drain your water tanks, make using it more weighty.
I play skylanders “competitively” nightmare mode one skylander runs/speedrunning. It’s interesting to see how low some essential skylanders are placed. I just look at numbers when picking my favourites so good frame data, hit box manipulation, and pure dps is more important to me than having a creative design or being fun to play.
I'm watching this a month late... But it's great cuz my Wii still works, I'm gonna take my 14th place with grim creeper (my personal fav) and beat nightmare mode by myself (Amazing video Krypt! The nostalgia was cubed on this)
i loved Skylanders and followed the series from the first one until trap team and i had completely forgotten about it for years. Good to see someone genuinely so into it now.
Well done for knowing all of them. I was a huge fan of this series but because my Wii broke I only ever got to play the first two and like half the third one.
Cynder was my go-to Skylander of choice when I played SA, Gaints. I really liked her kit. Did all of the one-hit kill arena challenges in Giants with her.
I agree with you on that Cynder is very very powerful I use her all the time when I’m deep trouble I got into deep trouble with the golden queen’s health low and I switched to Cynder to murder the bad guys in expert mode and wow she murdered them in 10 seconds flat
Bash could do something really incredible in swap force, if you used the rock/fist attack to move the guy at the upgrade “egg”. And then interact with him, the map perspective completely changed, it was barely playable if he was moved to far. But it was still a cool thing to do

Its nice seeing someone still consistently doing content on the epitomy of my childhood game, thank you krypt Edit: when my brother and i played skylanders, he always used jet vac since he really liked it for some reason. I also used warnado. Maybe that's why it took so long to beat giants for us 💀 Im pretty sure our strategy was for my brother to suck the enemies in and for me to use my attacks to destroy most of them, if not all, it works with swarms but with tanky and large enemies, and especially bosses, it just didn't work well. Hey on the bright side if he would die he would choose stealth elf and i would choose crusher (we were playing giants) and it made it a lot easier. It was probably just our hatred to using the good skylanders that made us take so long to beat giants. Hey at least we still had fun with it though Edit: my sister pretty much all the time used hex, i played with her if my brother wasnt able to play or smth Edit 2: i for some reason really liked cynder but my brother always had me play crusher to make things easier I always seemed to like the bad characters, didn't I? Edit 3: if everything seems jumbled, heres what my brother and I liked to play: Me: 1. Warnado. 2. Cynder. 3. Flameslinger. 4. Flameslinger Brother: 1. Stealth Elf. 2. Jet Vac. 3. Sonic Boom. 4. Flameslinger Yeah we had some arguments about who will use flameslinger lol
i feel that blaster mind can be fun because to me hes a high risk high reward type skylander because he can hit multiple enemies at once and he can have range and for me i can kick buns as blastermind but i respect your opinion
I would personally put terrafin hinger on the list. With his dig ability you can cheese almost every boss in spyro's adventure, which is my favorite game of the series. Good video tho! Also seen a few i never knew existed xP
When I played skylanders Giants as a kid, one of my first skylander was wrecking ball, and I thought he was amazing, and I still do, even with almost the entire world doesn't

How’d it go? The Xbox versions are way more buggy than the normal versions so it might be a bit worse

Also I honestly have a unhealthy amount of love for zap, I do wish we saw more spacing options in his kit since enemy manipulation feels like it's supposed to be his gimmick, mobile with the ability to hamper enemy movement while dealing consistent low tick damage. Maybe making the wave carry enemies away with it so you can wash away and suppress problem enemies to deal with later..... If that was to much maybe make it consume a good chunk/fully drain your water tanks, make using it more weighty.

I play skylanders “competitively” nightmare mode one skylander runs/speedrunning.
It’s interesting to see how low some essential skylanders are placed. I just look at numbers when picking my favourites so good frame data, hit box manipulation, and pure dps is more important to me than having a creative design or being fun to play.

In swap force there’s actually a glitch where Slobber Tooth can move the spinning gear islands in one of the desert areas with his inhale attack.

Cynder was my go-to Skylander of choice when I played SA, Gaints. I really liked her kit. Did all of the one-hit kill arena challenges in Giants with her.
I agree with you on that Cynder is very very powerful I use her all the time when I’m deep trouble I got into deep trouble with the golden queen’s health low and I switched to Cynder to murder the bad guys in expert mode and wow she murdered them in 10 seconds flat
Bash could do something really incredible in swap force, if you used the rock/fist attack to move the guy at the upgrade “egg”. And then interact with him, the map perspective completely changed, it was barely playable if he was moved to far. But it was still a cool thing to do

Edit: when my brother and i played skylanders, he always used jet vac since he really liked it for some reason. I also used warnado. Maybe that's why it took so long to beat giants for us 💀
Im pretty sure our strategy was for my brother to suck the enemies in and for me to use my attacks to destroy most of them, if not all, it works with swarms but with tanky and large enemies, and especially bosses, it just didn't work well.
Hey on the bright side if he would die he would choose stealth elf and i would choose crusher (we were playing giants) and it made it a lot easier. It was probably just our hatred to using the good skylanders that made us take so long to beat giants. Hey at least we still had fun with it though
Edit: my sister pretty much all the time used hex, i played with her if my brother wasnt able to play or smth
Edit 2: i for some reason really liked cynder but my brother always had me play crusher to make things easier

I would personally put terrafin hinger on the list. With his dig ability you can cheese almost every boss in spyro's adventure, which is my favorite game of the series. Good video tho! Also seen a few i never knew existed xP
Kaboom is actually really strong if you get the triple shot and wall bounce ability it clears every level easily but very spammy
