Brian Dawkins was the heart and soul of the Eagles. He was a hard-hitting machine and knocking out opponents heads off. He was an outstanding athlete.🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
Bdawk wasn't a "new weapon" for the Eagles in the 2004 NFC Championship. That was his 9th season on the Eagles by then. He had already long established himself as one of the very best safeties in the league by 2004.
You are dead to me for even typing the title of this video. It suggests there is a scale of good-to-bad and that Brian Dawkins falls somewhere on that scale. When in reality he lives outside of that scale, somewhere above good.

Depends on what you want in safety. Reed played more traditional and had a lot of success. But dawkins played everywhere. Reed had a lot more ints then dawkins but if you add in other things like sacks and forced fumbles tackles etc. Dawkins beats Reed in those categories.
@@loggerboy9325 Yes but Reed is the better all around. He literally knew ehat was gonna happen before it happened. That's more than just being a good safety.
Can't believe Dawkins was NOT a 1st ballot Hall of famer when he is Top 3 greatest Safeties THAT EVER Played in the NFL! Now Ed reed is greatest Safety EVEr undisputed, but Dawkins has a case because Eagles played way harder competitive superstar offensive teams in comparison to Ravens who played in division and conference no offense the offenses weren't as 'competitive' as who Dawkins and Eagles were facing like Vikings with Moss, Rams and warner, Cowboys and romo and Farve and Packers and 49ers! Ed reed is greatest ball hawk but one knock against Ed Reed being greatest and maybe Dawkins is close to being best safety ever is Dawkins played against best offensive teams on consistent basis and Ed Reed did not, so when u play best of best, sometimes u win , sometimes u get beat and u lose, thats nature of Competition and business of lining up against the best.
