      Ventless all the way. Condensed water drain connected to washer drain. Added bonus: it doesn't dump the heat energy directly out of your house. Especially needed if you have a balanced (heat recovery) ventilation system. Watch the videos of @mattrisinger.

      In turkey every dryer is a ventless dryer. You just take the lint out of the lint tray after every use and maybe wash it clean every month. Some times if i do couple of loads back to back i am only cleaning it after the loads are done and it still works perfectly. And i dont need to pay anyone for cleaning my machine ever

    Regular cleaning and maintenance of all household appliances is the key. Taking care of stuff is the only way to ensure it will continue operating properly. Tech companies have brainwashed too many into thinking that the best thing to do when stuff "breaks" is to replace it. In fact they have made product servicing physically difficult and in some cases, illegal.

    Condenser dries are great, an added benefit from using them is that they will also heat up your home rather than blow all the heat out of the home. They're awesome and you have FAR LESS chance burning your house down. Most have a little slot by the door that you lift out and empty. I've never needed to empty mine more than once a month. And it takes literally 10 seconds. If you're too lazy for 10 seconds then you DEFINITELY would be too lazy to maintain a vent to the outside that needs like an entire day every few months and some need you to check from the roof. I'm British 🇬🇧 and I don't know anyone with those stupid vents to the outside like Americans. It's just seems so stupid. Like what's the benefits of it and having to pay a guy a few hundred every few months to clean or risk your house burning down. How is that more convenient than grabbing a handful of lint once a month. Plus the lint smells incredible. I put it on warm radiators and it makes the house smell beautifully clean for a good few days. It's great near the front door 😂

    In the UK, these are known as condenser dryers; I’m assuming because they condense the air into a water reservoir. Vented dryers while they still do exist, are becoming increasingly scarce. My Bosch heat pump dryer has a self cleaning condenser. Only maintenance are to clean two lint filters and empty a tank. They are amazing and they look after your clothes far more than a normal dryer because they get nowhere near as hot.

      @@JamesKing-el3ry The new ones are amazing. My Bosch has 2 lint filters, and the dust, loose fibres, hairs and debris it catches after washing them is insane. Even black garments come out totally spot free and everything is so soft. Ive heard some heat pump dryers take a long time, mine probably takes 25% longer than a standard dryer. 1h 20 minutes for a 8kg load vs maybe 45 -55 minutes, but given they use 1/3 the energy and dont stretch or damage clothes, its more than worth it.

    In the UK, we still have the occasional vented dryer, usually hidden away in the shed for winter. But most people who’ve bought a dryer in the past like 10 years have bought a condenser or heat-pump dryer. And yes, they require filter maintenance monthly, but they are so much more efficient, condensing the water in the clothes instead of airing the moisture into your house. And particularly new models now clean the filters with the condensed water after every cycle so actually, you won’t get better than a heat-pump dryer.

      @@carolelaidley1725 Wow, I have never known someone so defensive about a vented dryer. My point is, besides the fact that there are still vented dryers, 9 times out of 10 people opt for condenser dryers for their B energy rating as opposed to the D or E energy rating of those dryers that are vented, not to mention that they are more versatile when it comes to placement. Since most people have their laundry appliances in the kitchen and don’t have a vent. But yes, most people do have condenser dryers as opposed to vented dryers. They work fine as long as you keep that heat exchanger clean! And your normal filter clean and it needs air to mine is in the hallway cupboard but always leave the door a jar even though it’s a big cupboard.
    I’ve now got a heat pump one has like 3 different sets of filters 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️
    But I find it drys better than my old electric “white knight” condenser dryer but it was 12 years old when it died and never had any issues with it till the end…
    Heat pump dryer takes longer but not much but for how little electricity it uses I couldn’t care if it took two hours per load. My sister hates condenser tumble dryers I got her one after her one broke then 8 months later she wanted a “vented dryer” again but she has the hole in the wall right behind the tumble dryer so makes sense.
    I however live in a flat/apartment block not a house like her so my walls are to thick to put a vent through the cupboard wall. So like most here in the uk I went for the condenser ventless dryer as a vented one I could only have a compact one which I did when I first moved in 14 years ago and miss how fast it was.
    But I got a 8kg washing machine so made sense to get a bigger dryer it’s a 7kg but works absolutely fine and not over loaded with a 8kg load in it.
    But they are good depending on brand/ and if it’s like the above in the video yeah it’s not going to dry!
    I just don’t see how people don’t notice the warning ⚠️ labels all inside the door etc that literally tells you to take out the bottom bit at least once a month. And use a power shower head is the best and fastest way to clean the heat exchanger in my experience. And all the lint and hair you just pick out in one lump out of the plug hole when done.

    Ventless driers are years ahead vented drivers, they work faster, they don't ruin your clothes, because they dry with vapor. Cleaning the condenser every now and then Isn't a chore, I just wash it in the tub, the lint filter is cleaned every time and the water I collect it as it's distilled water. Did I mention they use half the energy of a vented?

    We have a vented dryer, where we should probably have a ventless one. The upside is it warms and humidifies the house during the winter.

    Heat pump dryers are much better than any dryer if you actually look after it, which is simple, clean the filter and empty the water tank after every use, they are cheaper to run, better at drying cloths, and dosnt fog up the room with humidity, their soo much better we have 3 2 in mom's house and 1 in dads, their amazing

    Heat pump dryer, not ventless. It uses a dehumidifier to dry the clothes instead of gas or electricity. They are way more efficient and should replace electric and gas dryers entirely. The "ventless" part is just a bonus.

    It’s called a condenser dryer, not a ventless. If you you do buy one. Get the heat pump version over the traditional heater coil models. A lot safer and very little chance of fires, due to how the heat is generated.

    A ventless (or condensing, to call it by its proper name) dryer is far superior. The condensed water is perfect for use in steam irons and instead of wasting the exhausted heat by blowing it outside, it can be used to keep the room warm.
    Regular maintenance is the key so I can see why the yanks shy away from them a little.

    I didnt know vented dryers even existed lmaoo its an insane concept that dryers would need a fucking dedicated venting system. just get one with a lint tray. clean that out every time and youre good whats the issue. it literally only spins and makes clothes hot to dry them.

    You got one thing wrong: you don’t need to remove the water that’s extracted from your clothes, it does that for you by purging into the washer drain. Regular maintenance is critical though if these things are to work properly. My only beef with the one I own is its capacity. Otherwise it’s a pretty nifty application.

    In Europe the ventless dryers are the best and used for decades. The USA is a 3rd world country so don't blame your shitty drywalled homes with vent outlets and those crappy ventless dryers over there.. here the Miele heatpump of condensed dryers are the top of the line and perfom way better than vented dryers, it's all about regular maintenance like all applicances

    • @hubbabubba5177
      @hubbabubba5177 10 месяцев назад

      Installing a vent takes you a week and costs 10 thousand dollars, so I can see why you'd think that. But vents are better. Go to a laundromat, you'll see what they use.

    • @kilodeltaeight
      @kilodeltaeight 9 месяцев назад

      Dirty American here. Condenser types were never as popular here because most homes were new enough to have a vent, our varied climates mean they don’t work as well in many parts of the country, and our standard dyer sizes are too big to work well with a condenser design.
      BUT! Heat pump dryers are getting increasingly popular, as they have the energy savings of condenser types without the humidity issues, and can be made in larger sizes Americans are more used to. Especially with Natural Gas being phased out in many places, that efficiency is a big deal for people and a major selling point.
      As for me, living in a smaller Apartment, I adore my Miele W1/T1 units - but over here a wash/dry set from Miele is $3,000, easily twice the cost of larger “luxury” heat pump units from LG or Samsung. Of course, it will last 3x as long, and I got mine as floor models so I only paid 1/3rd the MSRP price…but I get why they aren’t as common here. Most stores don’t even carry the brand at all.

    When did Americans coin this term ventless? It's called a condenser dryer. We've had them in Europe for decades. I haven't seen a "vented" dryer in a UK home since 1987. Uses lots of electricity, shrinks clothes and causes fires when not maintained. Condensers work fine, if you have trouble using one then the drum is overloaded.
