I have a MY2006 MITSUBISHI TRITON L200 ML 3.2D 4M41 diesel car. A few months ago, the engine warning light (or MIL - Malfunction Indicator Light) came on while I was driving. It did worry me, but fortunately it was a short trip & so when I returned home, I checked the DTC (diagnostic trouble code) with my G-SCAN2 OBD2 programmer tool. The DTC detected was P0301 (which is cylinder 1 misfire detected). So I used isopropyl alcohol to clean the electrical connectors to the 4 injectors, & then used the G-SCAN2 to erase the DTC. After several weeks, the engine warning light re-appeared, & my G-SCAN2 again read DTC P0301. This time, I cleaned the engine with LIQUI MOLY Diesel Purge Plus (see video • LIQUI MOLY diesel purg... ). After this treatment, the car has not generated another engine warning light. But I shall have to wait longer to see if it solved the problem completely.
It is very risky to drive a car when the MIL appears. This is because the cause of the fault could be very serious - or it may not be serious but needs investigation. It is necessary to have a car OBD2 code reader to be able to read the DTC & know the type of fault detected. However, I do not want to take & leave my G-SCAN2 in the car on long trips away as it is an expensive & bulky workshop-grade tool.
When I bought the CRP429C from an ALIEXPRESS store, I received free software updates for 10 years. The number of years of free software updates, will depend on the Reseller, & also when it is purchased. If you decide to buy the CRP429C, check the number of years of free software updates provided by the Reseller before you decide to buy.
In the OBD2 code-reader or programming-tool market, manufacturers usually charge users an annual subscription fee to be able to update software modules on their higher-end tools. And the subscriptions can get very expensive. Usually, the LAUNCH TECH company charges annual subscription fees for software updates on the CRP429C. If you decide to buy the CRP429C, check the number of years of free software updates provided by the Reseller before you buy. It is best you understand what is the number of years of free software updates - before you device to buy.
In this video, I unbox the LAUNCH CRP429C. Then step-by-step, show how I connect the tool to my home wi-fi network; do the initial setup; do a quick & easy software update over wi-fi; and demonstrate using the tool on my car. I am glad I bought the CRP429C tool. It looks well built & rugged. It has very good touch-screen & push-button user interface. It is much smaller than the G-SCAN2, & cost much less. I am much happier to take this tool with me on long trips & leave it in the car. This way, I can be better prepared to deal with car problems along the way - & who knows perhaps, help someone else with a car problem.

Regarding the IMMO, these are special functions that may or may not be available for a specific brand/model/year car. LAUNCH official Aliexpress store said this.

Hi bought the same scanner used in newish condition from a private seller on ebay. It works as it should but hear in the UK mine says in the update menu a subscription payment is required to get any software and vehicle updates.
I contacted Launch Uk and they said the crp 429c was not sold in the Uk so they couldn't help with updating the scanner in any way.
In the video you say free updates for 10 years.
Any information appreciated .

It did update when connected to a vehicle, but not when in home don't now why .I have only used 3 times but looks to be ok on updates now.
Tell me, please, does it have the function of cleaning the catalyst (particulate filter)?

It says INJECTOR PROGRAMMING is one of the 15 Programming Functions. But "Note : These special function NOT for all car models, if you are confused, Please send your car brand, model and release year to seller to check it for you". So I suggest you contact the Aliexpress store directly. They have been very helpful with my own enquiries.

In my CRP429C DIAGNOSE menu, there are only 4 car brands starting with letter M. These are MAZDA, MERCEDES, MINI, MITSUBISHI.
