I really love how the show plays on the nuances of the sins. Arrogance and low self esteem are two sides of the same coin. Having one's self value often in comparison to others. Yet Escanor also displays the two virtues often confused for low self esteem or arrogance/wrongpride. He is meek/humble by night and exuding confidence by day. Note that his meek/humble nature is not in conflict with with confidence the slightest because he never actaully self depreciates himself at night. Some say humility often is in association to truth. He sees the situation for what it is and doesnt ever waiver his self value becasue of it.

When a character gets introduced in season 2 anime, and is the most op character for the entirety of the story..... I still enjoyed the build up, every boring part was necessary for Escanor's epic entrance!
