    Hey @dripment thanks for the video. Mono vs Stereo has been something I've really been trying to understand lately. I guess im confused with how i incorporate it into my drops. I know theres basically no limit or set rules to creating music but do you want to layer your bass with both stereo and mono layers so that the sound feels large? Or what might be the general consensus on that? Also your example at 12:50 with that bass sample, you pan it far right to create width. Does that put too much emphasis on the right side of the stereo image and would you then need to balance it out with another sound on the left? Sorry for so many questions and hopefully ive phrased them coherently! Thanks for all your content. I watch it all!

      Hey dude, thanks for commenting and great questions so to answer your first question yes we want to make the sound full and thick so that’s why we layer the bass with both stereo and mono layers. This creates a super clean mix as well… now with the example at minute 12 we have a bass that’s panned all the way to the right but that is layered with the full bass lead which is mono and stereo so the bass that is far right is only in addition and supporting so it doesn’t need to be balanced out Because the main bass is controlling the stereo image. 😊🔥🔥🙏🏽

    Bro quick tip. Lower the volume of your screen or whatever youre recording.
    1) I can barely hear you
    and then 2) the basses are so incredibly loud they bursted my ear drums which makes me turn down the volume which only enhances 1)....

      Hey thanks for the heads up, I double checked the levels on multiple sources and my voice is loud enough, it’s something I’m constantly working on perfecting, previous videos are much quieter, and others are too loud lol. Also the basses here are in a drop and are dubstep basses fully processed and hit around - 4 lufs. That volume is ear damaging and that should be expected with this genre. We are pushing the limits of sound and loudness.

    Super dope. Could you do a video on yookie sub bass. When I saw them live I felt like their sub bass just hits a lot harder than most people

    Fairly new to your channel and enjoying your content. I’ve already learned so much and have tried implementing it even though I’m on FL.

      Aw man thank you! I’m glad you like it; and yes a lot of people who tune in use FL but the same concepts transfer over easy!

    Why doesn't parallel processing just muddy the whole mix? Would having two of the same basses even though ones mono and ones stereo just be conflicting instruments?

    • @Dripment
      @Dripment  10 месяцев назад +1

      That’s a great question, there is enough dynamic range to stack the frequencies without audible distortion or mud. Be in the cases when it does stack up that’s when you eq each chain separately or go advanced and start using mid side eq to get it perfect!! But usually if you eq properly before your parallel process chain you don’t gotta worry about that!

    FML. I randomly messed with pan on a few wavetables not to mention have reverb filter on a bunch and high unison on many. Kinda wish I knew this before making a fuckton. I’d bet 70% of my sounds are now stereo that shouldnt be…😩🔫
    on the bright side, no tracks have been rendered. this is just stuff I’m creating before piecing together formulas. still fixable.

      @@Dripment I have eyes everywhere (it says on the sidebar of your chat GPT in the video lmao, the part where you’re explaining mono) anyways, Chicken Breakfast Hash is also going to be the title of my next single, I’ll let you know when I’m done with it.
