- COURT CAM: MA v. #KarenRead - What to Expect: The motions were impounded (sealed) at the request of Karen Read’s defense. Their descriptions suggest the defense is looking for information related to Kevin Albert, Brian Higgins and Brian Albert and phone records belonging to Brian Albert, Kenneth Berkowitz, and Brian Higgins members of law enforcement all of whom the defense has accused of participating in the alleged coverup directly or indirectly.
Read is accused of murdering her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe, whose body was found in the snow outside of a fellow Boston officer’s home in Canton, Mass. Prosecutors have said Read hit O’Keefe with her car and left him to die in the snow. But Read’s defense team has said she never hurt O’Keefe and that she is being framed by the true killers, who may have been inside the house where the body was found.

Karen Read gave up her electronics, as soon as asked, twice. She also didn't wipe them.
I’m sorry, but this so called judge is a hot mess! The fact that at THIS point she still didn’t recognize that Higgens was a witness because he was actually in the home on the night of the murder, says volumes about her ability to comprehend what’s happening in this case! She constantly interrupts the attorneys during their testimony instead of waiting until they finish and seems biased towards the commonwealth, when clearly it’s obvious that they haven’t been that truthful in their testimony!
I couldn’t believe she chuckled at the fact that the commonwealth male attorney, (Halally) I believe is his name, when she had ordered him to turn over certain documents to all the defense attorneys and he disregarded the court’s order. How a judge laughs at the fact that an attorney disregards a court order is beyond me….unless the judge is biased!

I'm uneasy how this hasn't even come to trial yet, and is all being played out in the court of public opinion. It's up to a jury to hear ALL the evidence and decide.
Actually no. If the investigation itself was a crime or conspiracy then the prosecution of Karen Read is unwarranted. That’s not for a jury to decide at this point if it is a matter of law for the judge.
How can a case go to trial when the lead investigator is under investigation?
It absolutely needs to go to trial which is why the judge is not allowing all the nonsense to delay which is all the defense is trying to do. I can't wait to see all the evidence because I think a lot of this defense nonsense will not even be brought up.

The cameraman doesn't seem to be very experienced. When he focuses on a speaker he initially zooms in so much that you might think he wants to show the speaker's nose or ear hair.

@@helenhoward5693we are a state in the general term when referring to land boundaries, etc. Massachusetts, Kentucky, Pennsylvania,
and Virginia are all formally and legally referred to as commonwealth’s which was simply the preference of politicians when each state’s constitution was written. I’m sure it sounds odd to people outside of Massachusetts.
How easily the masses have come to decide that the judge is somehow bad based on a silly made up conflict born out of the mind of a guy online who makes his living making fun of people. This judge has been fair at every turn. In fact I think she should lay the smack down with the whole clapping and cheering inside of a courtroom in a matter that involves the death of a great man.

Hopefully she is not laughing, sniggering and having, what comes across as an arrogant and loving all the attention, manner (as she did at the last hearing and people commented about) in court today (rather than an alleged poor victim who’s being framed). These ideas were not proved by the defense. The defense can bring their experts to the witness stand though. That’s how a trial works.

These statements are on the record grand jury testimony. They are as good as a defendant testifying.
Sounds like the people in this comment section believe that Karen deserves flowers and cake for driving back to the crime scene by herself and not calling an ambulance.

No he is pointing out that there were phone calls between him and the people in the house that morning. Then a week after scene fully investigated he just randomly drives down the street and spots this piece of tail light from his moving vehicle.

Does anyone consider the plow struck the officer? even at slow speed, could cause fresh punctures and scratches on his on his arms or even if the shirt is torn in same spots? The only thing she hit was the other car as it moved when struck, plastic pushed in, arrive at scene when broken piece of tail light falls out? The plow truck has a camera and a GPS. The Alberts have a fire hydrant in front of the house, plow drivers have to pay especially close attention to not block them in.
