Loved this! I'm a 2 and nodded all the way through your presentation. I want to thank you for posting this, not only because it was helpful, but because thanking others is what 2's do. 🤣 And guess what... I have been a hypnotherapist for 30+ years because.....I love helping others and making a difference. Growing up my mother was rather dysfunctional at times and I had to get myself up, make my breakfast and get myself to school...classic. i definitely had to be the adult sometimes to my mom because she would lean on me for advice as "the strong one" when I didn't really know how to help. I felt as a child that so many things were up to me. One of the big aha's I realized through psychology many years ago was that as a child there's nothing scarier than realizing the person you most depend upon most (mom) is not dependable, and I took on the role of trying to keep her happy so she might take care of me...and oh yes...I thrive on appreciation and would often deflect attention being put on me. I could go on and on but won't, but this is spot on. Maybe my comments may help others...again classic 2. So hilarious. Despite my upbringing I am a happy person who has learned so much...and isn't that what it's all about! 😍
i’m an enfp too!!! scored a bit higher on 2 than 7 so i love watching your channel. grew up too fast. unfortunately my father passed away young and other life circumstances forced me to be “parentified”. some of it was self-imposed, some of it wasn’t. 🤷🏿♂️ but i’ve been a caretaker before that. what you said about the dolls? lol used to be me with my action figures. had to play with ALL of them or else it wasn’t fair!!! when i have kids, they will be children until they no longer need to be. and they will be loved so dearly by me!
You roasting me as a baby saying I'm not completing anything is amazing!😂😂 the E2 in me was about to get offended and rejected then I realized.. you're right 😂
Thank you Tom..I'm an older two and resonated with the feeling unloved part but the Lord has really let me feel HIS unconditional love and that is so healing..tu for your compassion to us 2s..your wife sounds like an amazing person..tu for your ministry..it is invaluable!
I have a 2 daughter and sister. Neither one of them helped with out a fight, while they were growing up. From a toddler on up. I feel like maybe being helpful was a perceived thing? If you asked them to help, you got the 8 temper. Causing them to get special treatment, because no one wanted to fight with them. They do bend over backwards for everyone outside their family of origin though. 😂
2 with a wing or something or other of 4, 6 and 8 Or subtype 🤷♀️. Apparently I am hard to subtype. Whatever that means. Not in that order either. Beats me. Found you from MJ🙏🏼My pride is my steadfast loyalty to doing what is right. I do it in silence
Great show always! I wanted to try & understand 2s a bit better as I have a relative who's a 2. I'm a 9. I understand the helping urge , if only for other motivations!! I've developed a radar for people being sweet and then expecting an exchange & I rail against it. It just feels phoney.-me & my sisinlaw have fallen out cos I've gone passive aggressive on her about this transaction thing. When you talked about this expectation of thx, my back went up because I don't believe that one should demand thanks, or an apology- it defeats the purpose because if you succumb to the demand, it feels insincere & surely that just makes it worse. I can see the value yes in a 2s working at being that which a 2 craves from another. God bless and not trying to offend 2s, I got plenty to work on myself, just different
He’s talking psychology 101.. A type 2 is common sense.. Forgive us for being human.. No recognition for grace so, well, alrighty then. Passive aggression is the norm for just about anyone who ignores a type 2. You won’t fool a type 2 so, yeah. Go ahead and move on; you’ll be constantly unlearning 🔁

❤ Can I interview you and ask you how knowing about Enneagram changed your life?
@@TipTypeTube yes sure! how would you like to facilitate that? should i email?
This is so sweet. ❤
This is amazing!!! I'm a tie for a two and a 7 so this is such a great perspective, from a 7!

I love this and the other Enneagram 2 information you explain ❤. 😊 Thanks
You are so welcome!
@twlahue Wow, You reacted to my comment? I am humbled. What's up next for Enneagram 2's on your RUclips?!!? 😁💜🌷
I’m a therapist and I wonder if I think I’m a 2 because of my career because I a lot of times don’t relate to a lot of the aspects of 2.
I heard “only boring people can be bored” is what I heard. I’ve fully believed I’m a boring person my whole life and I’m 45

are you sure they're a type 2 then...
This is back-seated for a type 2. We do carry a lot of weight.. I’m a 1, 2 and a 6.
What a mess..
What do you mean you are 1, 2 and 6? You can be multiple?

There was no love anywhere near me except for me. I don’t try to attain love. I have no expectations
