Philadelphia, PA - The organ is located in the Grand Court of what is now Macy's but originally the John Wanamaker Department Store. Go hear it live if you can. You will be moved!
I grew up going to listen to the organ play for the Christmas light show every year when it was Wanamaker's. Scary to think what will happen if and when Macy's ever closes the store ! A true masterpiece of an organ !
It is only surrounded by a Macy's department store. The organ was installed when the building was the John Wanamaker department store so it is in its rightful place. Macy's fully supports the organ, better than previous department store chains that occupied the space in between Wanamaker's and Macy's.
Haunting...the bells toll!
I really apreciate the sounds of this organ, can someone please tell me where i can find this church?

@@gromitbilly TY im already moved, its sadly very uncommon that i ever manage to get there. But you never know, maybe im wrong :)
The organ is absolutely magnificent, but I think it is a disgrace ro have a shopping mall surrounding it. :(

Retail profits built this organ and gave it a reason to exist. Without commerce, there would be no Wanamaker organ.
