- The new paths with borders in Disney Dreamlight Valley are even more awesome when you combine them with the new customizable rugs! Apparently, there IS a glitch with the new paths with borders but I'll show you how to get around it in this video (I had no idea there was a glitch when I made this one).

Good idea with the carpets, I just hope they provide narrower versions in the future for smaller paths. A circular carpet would be nice as well, to allow curved paths.
I love this idea! I hope they do all of those things.
I made a gold brick carpet that shines in the sun. It was so much easier then collecting materials for the actual gold brick path, and it looks really good!

amazing idea, for sure gonna try this out later. the border path does a good job hiding the sharp edge of the rug. in my own experimenting I don't like that you can't put the rug right up to houses like the dark castle, but maybe the border will help

With these custom rugs you can get holes, bones and other items under or through the ruf.
I put mine over the path and haven’t had an issue with that…yet. 🤞🏻
The pathing is glitched. I think most paths are fine but the spooky pattern is completely bugged with inverted corners and doubled up borders (so if you try to do a filled in shape it's not going to look smooth). I thought it was only me until I saw someone have the same issue with the same path.

My valley is far more functional than beautiful, but these carpets and paths will hopefully bridge that gap!
I played around w it yesterday. I created a path to the castle w grey stone carpets and cement border inbetween the gaps. Now I have to craft less paths yay. Sadly, now I only want paths w borders and I spent hooours getting the basic ones already 😭
Wish we could add a transparent layer to the rugs…or just have a custom path tool 👀
I’ll bet that looks fantastic! I’m in the same boat with paths. I spent hours as well on the basic ones. I’m going to leave the rest as they are for now and hope they make it easier in the next update. 🤞🏻

This is a dumb question but I don't have that floral pattern in my selections how did you get it?
Ok.. this might be long but here it goes… go into furniture mode, customize, add new, basic rug, click the + to add a layer. Then go to the floral motifs and it’s the 3rd row down for me. Let me know if you find it.
If you don’t have it, it may have been a motif we got in a star path. I don’t really remember how I got it. It was just there when I was looking for a design for the rug.
If I make a new custom rug in Disney Dreamlight Valley, I wanna make a rug that looks almost exactly like the Magic Carpet from Aladdin.

@@CheliaCrossing yes! I started looking at rugs cause everyone I saw on RUclips videos were doing rugs I was like I need to have something to make my valley look prettier. So why not try out a rug design
They’re really not that hard either. I’m working on a water design now.
