Red potato can be turned into a potion too! Cook it with lobster, slush, raspberries and chili peppers, then take it to Remy’s realm and “deliver it” to the window for dishes - and you’ll get a potion!

@Michelle Sullivan I don't know if anyone knows. The red one says something about "bringing back the spice of life..." and the gold one is something about heating up that which has gone cold.

@@Wolfie021 because the golden potato was a limited item that only people with social media knew about its unlikely that this one has much to do with the main story progress
They kind of had to expand the restaurant so simba and nala could fit better. I believe Scar was the only one that one stand.
The Princess and the Frog was added to the furniture menu section and one of the motifs is Tiana I think.
I noticed that there are no chairs on the new side of the restaurant. They may have forgotten them or maybe it's a space for non-human characters like Scar.
The tables without chairs are for characters that are not human like Scar. Simba and Nala are arriving in April, so the restaurant had to be expanded.
So happy with the storage change! Having a couple of fridges in my kitchen is much nicer than several chests.
For the Map getting bigger... on the left side to the map, in the north Edge of the Glade where the Waterfall is, there are now new "floating" Isles. And all around the tree on the floating Isle of the Glades from the Orb Quest. Im pretty sure there werent so many Isles before. And even to the left side of the Beach it feel more cluttered. But only unreachable space at the moment. Noticed because i often stand on the most southwest Edge from the Desert and looked down, and now saw the Isles.
They needed more chairless table since we are getting more Lion king characters i think. Scar was really the only one that needed the standing only tables before and soon we will have Nala and Simba to join him at those tables so. I think that's why that area got expanded. just my theory. Im waiting for a little characters table to pop up for Buzz and Woody and such lol.
I saw sheebis valley turn the red potato into a potion taking the food made with the potato to Remys realm!

I have noticed more coral on the water areas, there's a wave effect, at the back of the frozen area on left side I think it's got lower and starting to look like a ramp maybe and the river there looks like a little cave as well. I also have that scary squirrel as my companion.
I love having that scary squirrel with me during the night. Makes the nights in the valley more creepy!
Actually mystery of Red Potatoe also get solve.Cook with ice slush, lobster, raspberry and chilli pepper. When you got Icy-Red Stew take it to Remy Realm in Disney Castle and put it into Order Window. Now you got another Potion from potatoe.
Donalds boat now has a motor running sound coming from it. When Fishing , there is now an audible "whistle" sound every time you have to press the button. When you remove items from your map or house the sound is different now, almost Wreck it Ralph video game-esque . Dont know if you could before, but using the new digging potions, I have dug up Green Chests rarely with them.
If you look in the sky at night, the constellations in the sky turn into symbols for each character. Tangled is a sun, mickey, etc.... you have to look at them a certain way but try it. It's awesome

Enjoying the constellations, but the sky is not filled with stars anymore. Only constellations are there. I miss the rest of the stars!
You have to finish the first Olaf story quest to get scary squirrels but the game doesn't tell you that you got it.
Wings are no longer static!!! Try on the Raven wings if you have them!!! The animations are gorgeous 😍 ✨️

I think the cooking sound also changed. It felt different when I cooked :)
So happy that the bones and ice crystals are respawning. I just noticed last night.
Everything looks prettier to me. Noticed the waves rolling in out in the ocean that I never noticed before, lovely.
The wardrobes are definitely pantries for me now haha

Also the item Tall Potted Plant completely changed from what it was before. I had that item in my main room and when I went in I was confused cause I've never seen that item before until I looked at the name and realized they changed the look of it completely. It was a more cartoony green plant with a brown pot and now it's a more realistic multicolor plant with a blue pot. I don't mind it I just wished it was separate to the other item I had cause I really liked how it looked. Also the Merlin items changed color a bit, specifically the items that had vials.
I've got the same problem with them just changing the look of objects into a different look! They should make new ones then. I am really upset about them changing these beautiful looking metallic lamps from Remy into an ever so ugly grey color, that I had to remove them cause they ruined my kitchen! And I bought a few xtra ones, too. I can't understand, why they turn beautiful items into ugly ones!?
Put the books on Merlin’s bookshelf, I heard it leads to a secret room!😊

I put the book that has a pink quest symbol and says it “hums” into the bookshelf in Mickeys secret room. Another secret room opens with gems and stuff in the chests. Which I noticed!!!! That the chests in his second secret room respawn, because I went back another time the next day and there were new items in all of those chests. That one is in the castle to the right after you reach level 10 friendship with him and you get his final quest. I don’t think you can use any of the other books yet so I’m keeping them in storage for now. @MrStarInSky

I noticed that Donald's Boat (I have it on the pier in Dazzle Beach), it seemed at little off centre.
Not sure what happened but some of my books disappeared. Pretty sure I didn't sell them, but who knows, maybe I mis-selected.
Surprised you didn't mention the new sounds effects at the stalls, while cooking, and while fishing.
The new sound of the stoves is grating. Also, the new sound for gardening.
I noticed they changed the clock chime sound effect when it's at the top of the hour. It has a more magical kind of sound now. I noticed the big icicles respawned in my Frosted Heights but I assumed it was because of the blizzard lol, that's good that multiple of those objects are supposed to respawn like many other things

The restaurant getting expanded is probably for simba and Nala an any other full animal villagers we get. Only scar at at the table with no chairs. Also, I noticed some sounds are different. Like when we mine or garden and we the bunch of extra items it has sound again but I think it's different than what it used to be. Also I didn't know we have a potion storage. If I have it I'm taking all the collecting potions and the golden and red potions we got from the potatoes and putting them in there

Cook the red potato. With lobster, ice cone, chilli pepper, and raspberry. Then take to remis realm and serve at that window. Get red potion. 😎

I definitely didn’t notice about the bones, ice, mushrooms, stumps, ect responing now…that’s awesome!! So excited about that!
I don’t want to spend those astronomical prices of skins for the house but I do really want that castle one and I hope they bring the castle one back once they drop the prices down a bit because I would basically have to spend $20 on moonstones in order to get it right now and I’m not paying that much.
They did expand the area. I've moved a hedge next to Scrooges a bit and all of a sudden I had one more square to the back and right side. There are a lots of positive visual changes like the gem and ice rocks, the mine inside, the water effect in fountains and waterfalls, the fruit trees and crops aso. I really do love it, it comes even more alive now! The only big negative thing for me is, I've discovered right away, that they turned the beautiful minimalistic lamps from Remy's restaurant into an ugly plain grey!!! This really upsets me, because I was waiting for them for ages and finally got them 2 days before the update. They also changed the really beautiful glowing colors of the orange and green popcicles, with which I was decorating with, into less color. My small moss covered rocks are plain now, where did the moss go?
they've added more make up styles. not to blush but to lipstick/liner and eyeshadow. annoyingly this removed all my characters make up when I loaded up the game and I can't seem to get it to look the same as before but still pleased with the additional options.
we are all making our very own Disney theme park, we just got the castle skin and next will be rides and open in the summer online
Oooo I definitely didn’t know about the scary squirrel!! 😱😱 I definitely need to go check my game to see if I have that squirrel and then make him my new companion!! I am already at level 7 friendship with Olaf and have completed his quests (aside from the level 10 one obviously).

I think they're preparing Remi's restaurant for Simba and Nala who have to stand and eat in there the same way Scar does. I had been given that change some thought and concluded to that reasoning.

Also there is butterflies flying in the plaza and meadow, and green fireflies in the glade and forgotten lands that I hadnt seen before

When I first saw that the bones and the stumps and the ice have respawned I was like "why are you respawing again? Because I though they were not supossed to respawn. But now that I think about it, the beach ones and the stones ones and the mushrooms ones have been respawing all this time, and it just didn't click that the others should have been too.
I noticed they have updated the effect for water sitting in the fountains. I also noticed that everything seems brighter at night and forgotten lands seemed brighter for me it’s easier to spot dark wood.
I feel like in the switch version there's been changes to the hitboxes and general movement speed?
I need to figure out how to put those dang books in the castle

I don’t know if anyone said or or not but goofy had a crafting table in his house now. I didn’t realize anyone’s house changed, I usually never go in them

Hourly chimes are now different. It used to play the Westminster notes then the striking of the hours, but now the striking remains, but the chimes are playing different notes. I liked the Westminster better. Why don't they just add the ability to create your own notes for chimes like you can on Animal Crossing?
Anyone have an issue with the oysters/dark blue shells? I haven't seen them in 2 weeks maybe longer, I've moved everything to look under them to see if it is just hidden but nope I only get the pink ones & the lt blue ones.
So, I have found that if things aren't respawning, if you go into F and move stuff around, like the trees and rocks, it will make stuff spawn when you get back out. It's like it reboots the spawners or something, I don't know. XD But, it is how I stock up on sticks and flowers. XD
@@eshbena I will give that try when I play next, I did move stuff around looking so hopefully maybe it will show up.
Mine still spawn, but the max amount of shells is 2 less than before. That started happening right before the update though. Can't find those other 2 anywhere 😅

Forgotten lands top left hand changed a bit as the pumpkins near one of the mining nodes had been rearranged and one of them wouldn't fit there any more. I don't know if they moved the mining node or did something else there

You can interact with the book shelf in the secret room in the castle.
I placed my books there.
The doors in the house you can move and change what they look like now too

I am both devastated and pissed right off cuz i missed the angry squirrel. I didn't even know you could interact with them or that they were squirrels until i had to chase them for the quest 💔

Idk if I’m just imagining things but I could’ve sworn there use to be a door on the opposite wall when you walk into Anna and kristoff’s house. Maybe they changed it to be more kid friendly as to not imply that they sleep together
something did change because I have Moanas house right below the glade in the little nook and I set it perfectly to get behind it and mine that rick, suddenly with the update I couldn't get behind it anymore and a few decorations wer gone, so the glad expanded out . Ihad to really work it to get it back but the area doesn't hold the stuff I had there now. The area of the waterfall in the glade seems larger. I did not know about the squirrel, thanks. Also the fishing now, the rell squeaks when your reeling in the fish. The sand looks different on the beach. When you go to a stall at night, it lights up now when goofy sows up. I hadn't noticed bones respawning but someting seems different about the forgotten land but I can't put my finger on it.
Hey. Mostly I recognize all of those changes, but I didnt know about time offset. Im going to use it. Cos usually im playin' after work. and its always dark. Have to say. Dont know how it looks like in daylight :D :D Thanks.
I found out the stars in the sky lights up the symbols of the characters if you look from a special perspective 😊

I felt that the map had gotten bigger too. Only thing that made sense to me was they tweaked the jog speed a little slower so it takes longer to get anywhere. ❤

The only thing I have found annoying is that my vintage dark chest that I had outside disappeared the second day of new update, why didn't they just replace it for an outdoor one? I don't have any outdoor vintage chest now.
Being a graphic designer I noticed that the graphics in general on the switch is refined so the pixel rate must have been raised, the motions different items do are smoother, and my wings now actually move when I wear them, though it now takes longer to get a picture because I have to wait for then not to cover up whatever or whoever else I am photographing. I think with the picture antialaizing done which I turn raised the pixel rate, this enabled the designers to make the valley much larger as more fits into the same space.
I have always had a storage "yard' outside my house instead of a room inside. Very unimpressed that the dark chest is only indoors now 🤔😞

Click on the door in build mode and it gives you a menu like changing house colors. The only problem is for every door you change, you need to have one in you inventory, so if you bought one door, but you want to change three of them, you need to go buy two more.

I noticed as soon as I logged in after the update that the game looks more high def now. That’s the only way I can explain it.
I wish the green house had another secondary colour... Bit sad that my favorite colour(green) is with my least favorite colour(red)...
Or maby if they made a few more versions...
This...and who puts a green door on a pale purple house? i wish we could color our own or choose like in Animal Crossing
@@angwife73 If the neuances were different I would... but not the ones they chose... I think It would be best to just have a colour option for the same skin so chose base colour and secodary colour seperate, but I don't know how easy that is programming wise...-.-'
