@@SkiesTurnedGrey anything you have on the ground is a spot that a crop could take if you're doing the fence trick. I open my fence towards the glades area and my pumpkins get sent only to that area. I do 400 at a time in meadows.
I don't really understand why they let us build SO MANY floors and rooms in our house lol. I mean, it's cool and all, we'll certainly have enough space to display all the stuff we accumulate over time, but I've played enough 'resource gathering and crafting' games (like Ark, Minecraft, Fallout etc) to know that I will use functional rooms that actually serve a purpose far more than I'll use purely decorative rooms. Like, I have 4 rooms at the moment. The main entrance room (lounge), a kitchen (with a stove and chests full of different food items), a workshop (with a crafting table and chests full of resources) and a bedroom. I literally never go in the bedroom. There's nothing of use in there. I don't store or craft anything in there, so I have no reason to ever go in there. I may add more rooms in future, but they will most likely be storage rooms.
I feel the same, in Ark there is never enough space because there are so many things we need, but in this game it is a little different. hopefully the game will get more complex as they update it, and the amount of floors makes sense.
I think they have the option for so many rooms so people can dedicate rooms to specific furniture sets e.g. have a little mermaid room, a frozen room, etc etc. :)
Ya, I built the entire first floor and 11 stories so far because I had an excess of money from pumpkin farming. I really don't see the use of the extra floors given how tiny the rooms are. I'd rather there be like three stories with the side rooms like the first floor. I'd also prefer the outside of the house to reflex what the inside is.
I moved the restaurant and scrooges store to the meadow so I can have the plaza for my crops and fruit tree. Clay was a pain to get for that one quest you mentioned. I’m so glad it is done
@@addas001 i would rather not run all over the place to harvest everything. It’s a pain having to go from biome to biome even with teleportation. I’d prefer just have everything in one place. I sell the gems to make a TON of money, it's not hard to mine more and if you have mining buddies its even easier plus it builds friendship. Fish also is a great way to make lots of money, again use a fishing buddy to get double fish, I just keep a couple of types of fish and sell the rest, fishing is easy and Moanas boat gives you heaps as well.

I ususally keep 5 shiny, and 10 non shiny gems in a chest and sell the rest. As fas as I saw, the quests ask for a max of 5 non shiny gems at a timegems and you will make most of what you needed back in one go anyway, but until now, I'v never had a problem with this amount.
I save 50 of everything. More if it’s crafting supplies. But besides that I’ll sell pretty much everything. Sure it may make the quests take a bit longer. But I don’t want the game to be done soon. I wanna enjoy the game for longer.
How in any way is it hard to level up a character with feet? I don't know if doing their skill makes them level faster, but Eric took like a couple hours, maybe, to max. I just did my gardening, then I think I did some mining. Swimming characters are the only "hard" ones to level.
All character level up by doing pretty much anything. I find it easiest to have them with you when planting. I have 3-4 50 size fields in every zone. (50 is the max seed stack) Just planting all the fields and watering them levels up all characters by the time I'm done planting all the zones.

grinding for gems is an easy way for cash especially early game tho. i don’t have access to pumpkins yet, and the other higher-cost veggies take too long to grow when i need a quick 10k to upgrade or build someone’s house. I grab my maxed-out mining buddy (scrooge, currently), turn on youtube for background noise, and mine thru the plaza, meadow, glade, beach, and forest on a loop. by the time i finish mining in the forest the plaza’s stones have respawned (honestly when I only had the plaza, meadow, and beach unlocked they respawned by the time i was done on the beach), so I can just go around and around endlessly and rack up 20k in gems easily. and when I do need specific gems for a quest I just make sure to include that biome in the loop and use it as an opportunity for some extra money i do enjoy mindlessly stripmining in minecraft, tho, so maybe that’s why i don’t mind grinding for gems lol
Anyone else notice how if you finish all the tasks for the Pixar event you get just enough points to unlock all the items and only than can you get the final reward of only 175 moonstones but in order to do that you have to buy the 10 Pixar event points for 200 moonstones. Makes no sense
It's for people to spend moonstones on things they have a way to "get some back". Also if you buy 100 of the balls it's a discount. Then if resold you actually net 150 moonstones
That last option is for people who didn't want to spend their event points on the items and instead get moonstone, can only use them for Star Path anyway so I don't know why they would just skip on the stuff...
@@Vectavist223 You can only unlock that last page if you get every event reward on the first 5 pages. And you only get exactly enough tokens through the event tasks to get every reward item on the first 5 pages. The last 175 moonstones on the last page literally _can not_ be redeemed without buying tokens with moonstones. And buying the tokens to get those last 175 moonstones isn't worth it, because 10 tokens cost 200 moonstones to begin with. That is to say, those last 175 moonstones are entirely pointless. The _only_ way they are worth getting is if someone bought the "discounted" 100 tokens package, where 10 tokens equates to 160 moonstone, in which case you're gaining 15 moonstone, but who wants to buy the 100 token bundle just to gain 15 moonstone? You get 10 free moonstone every day, so that small 15 moonstone is equivalent to one and half daily moonstone chests. Not worth it. Last event reward page is 99% pointless.
Eggplants actually give a better return on investment, as far as selling raw vegetables is concerned. Each eggplant seed costs 95 coins, and yields one eggplant that sells for 308 coins. Each pumpkin seed, however, costs 275 coins, and yields one pumpkin that sells for 664. The profit on the eggplant is +224%, whereas the profit on a pumpkin is +141%. Taking into consideration that you will most likely be accompanied by a follower with the gardening skill, the return on eggplants is pushed even farther ahead of pumpkins. If a follower gives an additional veggie on a harvest, the return on an eggplant is then +548%, while a pumpkin is a paltry (by comparison) +383%. Eggplants also take one less hour to grow. This detail is only important if you're someone who is strict about checking crops, to water and harvest them when needed. If you're someone who only checks once per day, then you likely won't even notice the difference. Even still, from a strictly returns-based perspective, eggplants are the better option. While the lump sum you get for selling a stack of eggplants may be only about half of what you would get from a stack of pumpkins, keep in mind that you also spend nearly three times as much for each pumpkin seed. Economics. Edit: Please do note that I have not done the math for every crop in the game. There _may_ be a crop that gives even better returns than eggplants do. I am simply saying that eggplants are definitely a better choice than pumpkins.

Dumb question...I have two chests in a room full of gems/flowers (i'm dividing the resources in chests for future quests/gifts), If i remove the chest so I can add it to another room....does my stuff stay in them or do I lose 'em?? lol
Hi! All of the items in your chest will remain as expected, I did this when I filled up a chest with pumpkins, and then moved the chest close to Goofy's Stall
You have to empty the chests completely to move them to another room.(inside) And if a chest glitches out from building a new room, all you have to do it build new chests & place them- your stuff will spawn back in!

@@ezlilyy I have seen it but it's quite rare. I think I have only bought iron ore from him 1 time since I got his stall 2 weeks ago. I've seen rope & iron ore be the rarest he sells. I'll take a screenshot next time he sells it.
If he ever sells it, I am buying all of his stock so I never need to grind for it again...
@@ezlilyy I know the feeling 😭
I am on level 40, have almost all my characters on level 10 except Ariel, Ursula and Eric. I bought the 30.00 game.
The ammount of times I said "Oooohhhhh!" watching this video is ridiculous 😂 cant wait to try these amazing tips!
Planting in each biome is only supposed to be 10% faster, so if it's easier, then just plant in one space
Gems respawn so quickly, you can save 10 of each in one day and still continue to sell some after keeping them.
You CAN and should keep selling them and using them for money, but yes keep some.
But they respawn so quickly and so often that it's not a big deal
I keep forgetting that this game is still in early access and i dont have worry about completing all of the quests too fast. There's still tons of other features that will be added to the game.
Good tips! Not gonna lie, I used my gems on Ursula and Ariel since they are not able to hang out.
You can use flowers
@@Vandalynn I find flowers way more useful then gems.
Yeah.. there is 20 floors. It's expensive. Also the biome crop buff is something like 10 seconds difference lol. If you clear out the meadows you won't have pumpkins going every direction when you open the fence after harvest.
What do you mean by, "If you clear out the meadows"?
@@SkiesTurnedGrey anything you have on the ground is a spot that a crop could take if you're doing the fence trick. I open my fence towards the glades area and my pumpkins get sent only to that area. I do 400 at a time in meadows.
Glade of Trust and Sunlit Plateau are both great spots for clay digging💜
Omg you are a genius I thought doing a gem box and fish box was clever. You have opened my eyes to some great ideas thanks a ton!
You do not need to dig in wet spots in the glade, any spot you dig has a chance of getting clay
The one mistake I did was giving my cookies away to the squirrel. 😭
I just wish you could use all the slots in the chests instead of just 2 rows… Why show all the extra slots when you can’t even use them?
I think they have the option for so many rooms so people can dedicate rooms to specific furniture sets e.g. have a little mermaid room, a frozen room, etc etc. :)
Ya, I built the entire first floor and 11 stories so far because I had an excess of money from pumpkin farming. I really don't see the use of the extra floors given how tiny the rooms are. I'd rather there be like three stories with the side rooms like the first floor. I'd also prefer the outside of the house to reflex what the inside is.
@@Jangocat You'd prefer three stories with side rooms instead of 20 stories with side rooms?
I moved the restaurant and scrooges store to the meadow so I can have the plaza for my crops and fruit tree. Clay was a pain to get for that one quest you mentioned. I’m so glad it is done
The plaza is the worst for growing groups because biomes have boosts , the meadow boosts plants too
@@addas001 i would rather not run all over the place to harvest everything. It’s a pain having to go from biome to biome even with teleportation. I’d prefer just have everything in one place. I get why it is the worst place because no crops get the boosts but i am totally fine with that. That’s just my personal preference. You play however you want and I will play my way.
@@LunarAnimeAngel It's not like the boosts are that amazing anyway..
I'm so happy you have dreamlight valley content!!
!!! MOVING TELEPORTATION WELLS,CAN CORRUPT THE GAME AN LETS IT START TO GLITCH!!!
Please be careful, when you move wells ❤️
And also: Don‘t buy the white pullover from Duck. You won’t be able to wear the item.
So that’s why I have been facing glitches and my game crashing
This must be a glitch on switch, PC doesn't have these issues
I've never seen anywhere that moving the wells corrupts the game. I've moved mine and the game is fine. (On Switch.)
I remember my game crashing one time and deleting all my hard work. I guess I was moving my wells back then. Luckily for me, I had the cloud backup and did not have to start all over again after all. Now I have all biomes open and never have to worry about that again. I am playing mine on PS4.
for the record, currently in Settings you can offset the clock to get daylight even if playing at night
For the fishing, I find the easiest for me isn't to watch for the green circle, but to feel the controller vibrate. Once I feel the bzzz, then hit it!
Don't move any Goofy stall prior to having them opened by McDuck - you cannot open them
Such great tips. I mistakenly crafted dreamlight early game and later got a quest where I needed the gems! 🤦
right ! currently hoarding all of my dream shards & night shards if needed 😭
Great tips. Only complaint is Moana is “Moe on a”
I ususally keep 5 shiny, and 10 non shiny gems in a chest and sell the rest.
@@Jangocat I just use my current 100 set until I trim it down and are ready to customize the town and Eric, my last friend, hit 10 within hours I think.
I just started playing and this was super helpful. Thanks!
If you go to settings and graphics, near the bottom, you can slide the time to 12 hrs in the past or future. It says it is for display only and will not affect the real time in your game.
WE CAN MOVE THE BUILDINGS AND WELLS?! Okay, I’m just new to this game and my younger sis got me playing to help, and we both never knew we could do this qoq. Thank you !!
grinding for gems is an easy way for cash especially early game tho. i don’t have access to pumpkins yet, and the other higher-cost veggies take too long to grow when i need a quick 10k to upgrade or build someone’s house. I grab my maxed-out mining buddy (scrooge, currently), turn on youtube for background noise, and mine thru the plaza, meadow, glade, beach, and forest on a loop. by the time i finish mining in the forest the plaza’s stones have respawned (honestly when I only had the plaza, meadow, and beach unlocked they respawned by the time i was done on the beach), so I can just go around and around endlessly and rack up 20k in gems easily. and when I do need specific gems for a quest I just make sure to include that biome in the loop and use it as an opportunity for some extra money
i do enjoy mindlessly stripmining in minecraft, tho, so maybe that’s why i don’t mind grinding for gems lol
Great advice on the time thing. Currently starting again because I broke my game not knowing that travelling breaks things.
just started playing and i just want to say thankyou so much for not spoling anything
0:05 that is some impressive editing
Thinking about doing a dive in the game. Your Stardew tips helped my play throughs. 🎉🎉
It’s really a great game
I am simply saying that eggplants are definitely a better choice than pumpkins.
ty for this info!
@@stubbs322 You're welcome! Glad it was helpful.
Basically save a stockpile of everything just in case.
I'm in love with the with the way you say "Punkins". :)
I always sell my gems. They’re easy af to get and I get some of every kind with one round of the valley
i usually sell the shiny gems and keep the regular ones, do you rec keeping the shiny ones as well?
I was wondering why i recognize the music despite never having played the game…. i realized it’s music from Stardew Valley ❤😂
1 problem I have, is when it's night. the characters thinks it's morning. plus rn, I can't collect the light bulb in Wall Es mission
Or they comment about it raining when it's nothing but sunshine. AI in this game definitely gets confused about the time and weather.
I feel like nighttime makes things too dark. It's so hard to navigate at night. Wish they could add a flashlight tool, or an accessory you could wear that would put a light around your character, so I could find my way through that dang Forgotten Lands at night!
i can't play this game but i just love watching you play this game haha
Dumb question...I have two chests in a room full of gems/flowers (i'm dividing the resources in chests for future quests/gifts), If i remove the chest so I can add it to another room....does my stuff stay in them or do I lose 'em?? lol
Hi!
All of the items in your chest will remain as expected,
I did this when I filled up a chest with pumpkins, and then moved the chest close to Goofy's Stall
@@ezlilyy Good to know! Thanks for the reply☺
You have to empty the chests completely to move them to another room.(inside)
And if a chest glitches out from building a new room, all you have to do it build new chests & place them- your stuff will spawn back in!
The gem tip is so true. I idiotically set all my characters to mining and have an abundance of gems so I have no problem selling gems but nothing is worse than selling a gem then having Merlin tell you to harvest 15 of them.
How do I get my early access fox? Shows in mailbox doesn’t show in companions 🤷🏻♀️
My game shut down due to an error. When the game came back on, Scrooge is still waiting for signs to be placed around the valley- even though I already did 3 and now don't recall the recipe. Any suggestions? Thanks.
You see the bridge what was in if you move the well over to that side is it on the other side move the world over to your side unlock And then put it past the bridge and then teleport to that
You always have great tips! ever since RUclips suggested your stardew videos I've been a fan
Hello I'm new to your channel Thank you for this video I've been playing disney dreamlight for a couple months and had absolutely no clue that you could remove everything at once Definitely helps
I wish I could move Goofy's stalls out of their biomes so I could make a little farmers market but its not possible (at this time) :(
Yeah, I also tried that.
Was quite sad when it would not work 😫
@@ezlilyy me too!! It would be super convenient and also cute to have a market place :(
I doubt it will be possible because it defeats the whole point of the stalls
What would be the point? You would lose the sell point of all those zones. Do you really want to run across several zones to sell? This game is an inventory management nightmare, you have to sell constantly to keep inventory clear.
@@Jangocat aesthetics... I would place them all near my shops and big farm ground in the plaza biome close to my house where all my chests are anyway! It would look good from a design perspective and I could just zap to the plaza anyway. But agree on the inventorisation part with you
If you want a lot ooney take your body for soshing and fish beetween 6pm and 10pm for example on beach , you will gain specialnfish which you can sell for 2k. Make a berey salad, it gives a lot energy, fish a lot, a lot easy money. Sometimes is a lot of seaweed but the friend will double the fish. Fish outside the circles.
For some reason I didn't think about moving the teleportation wells. That'll help a lot.
I’ve already created a bunch of chests in my house and I’ve stocked piled of every resource. Food and materials. I’ll use some and restock.
how did I not know you played this??? I'd love to see you revisit it!
You can change the time in settings- graphics- time offset with no issue
If you go into settings, you can offset the time
I just built the clock tower before I talked to Minnie!! My game has been so buggy I was afraid of it crashing and losing all my resources...
Now I gotta get all that clay and iron again!!!
Thank you so much, I bought the game 3 days ago and have learned the hard way not to give away my gems! Two minutes after giving away one of my emeralds I found I needed it! Two minutes I swear!!!
Is there a way to get rid of a companion the blue turtle is a pain, it gets in the way constantly, I made a pet house but it won’t stay there. Any tips? 🤷
eh... gems spawn way too often to not sell. I make a good 25-50k a day farming gems. Theyre not "precious" at all. I save a good 4-5 of each, restock when needed, sell the rest.
With your house being so big, did it increase your original storage chests space? How big is it now, with so many floors?
Thanks for another entertaining video. Love your laugh!
I made a mistake and not saving hard wood, now I need like 300 for a couple quests
You can offset the time in the game settings. So mine is like 6 hours ahead since I always play around 10 at night… this way it’s daytime!
that feature did not exist at the time when the video was posted. it was added later after players complained about the issue.
With the newest patch, you can only buy a cap of 3 to 5 of each item of Kristoff’s 😢miss those 99 days. Glad I stacked when I could with coal lol
Some great tips, thank you!
OMG I didn't know growing plants in different areas could make them grow faster. Could you maybe explain better about where which one grows faster?
They grow faster (only 10% more quickly) on the biome where you found them (check the collection to see it). Also when you plant the seed there will be an arrow on it to indicate that it will get the bonus.
As someone who has already completed all available quests in the game. I don’t really care about hoarding things. I already have enough. Now I’m just building on cash and dreamlight.
How do I get Kristoff's stall to increase its quantities? My stall only let's me buy 3 5 or 10 depending the item. How do you get it to 99 like this video shows?
I'm stuck on the quest where you have to buy blue furniture for Merlin. Nothing works for me and I can't continue with tbe quest or the game.
I found with the time altering one, it's less glitchy if you have the game closed, before changing the time. This isn't always the case, but it helps.
wow thanks i didn't know about kristofs shop ill definitely try and get them maxed
It's so hard on the Xbox to move things around. Are you playing on the PC?
Yeah if you have the option go to pc for building. Xbox sucks.
Thanks for the great tips! ❤🥰
New here, great tips I can still learn from even after playing since it’s released. Thank you!
Do you have instructions for how to fix time travelling? When I downloaded the game my switch was set to sometime in December (from playing Animal Crossing and time travelling). I was never able to collect the blue treasure chests. When I set my switch back to present day/time the fruit no longer spawns on trees/bushes and I couldn't interact with any crops. I time travelled back to the future and have just been playing without the blue chests.
I wish I knew about the time travel bug sooner! I'm hoping it fixes itself. I can't collect herbs and its really bugged my game.
One of my mistakes - DO. NOT. TIME. TRAVEL. you will mess up your entire game because the spawning of all items is nonexistent until the game catches up to the exact date that you traveled to. I had to restart my entire game.
I’m doing a thing where I’ll have a chest for each biome of things that can be found within it for quicker organisation
Also, in terms of iron, do laps between the swamp and the forest as they drop the most ore.
Go into the settings then go into graphics and you can offset the time of day
Can you not change your time zone instead of the time itself? Does that cause the same bug?
oooh, i never thought of doing that.
let me go test it quick
@@ezlilyy let us know how it pans out!! Thank you for the amazing tips!!
Wall-E's garden only grows crops once a day for me, is that normal?
I finished almost all quests beside for Ariel Ursula and Eric which I Have yet to unlock and I never really needed farm for to much besides clay
Yay for new content on a new game!
Make sure you use the glittering herring for the fish pie not the pickled herring I made that mistake
I think they let you keep adding floors just incase if you want more space to put more furniture like if you wanna create more than one bedroom
I think it's a good idea to allow players to make a large number of rooms. It's not like we're forced to. But it's there if you want them. That's a good thing. I'm sure there are some players out there that want to display all of their collected items, especially in themed rooms. Like "The Cinderella Room" or "The Lion King Room", etc.
@@SkiesTurnedGrey exactly plus a lot of stuff can go in a spare room on the same floor like my floor 2 is all Ariel/little mermaid themed split between like 4 rooms on floor 2 but it’s one floor. Plus some people might want more than 6 floors.
