Also, I REALLY enjoy your narration over these games. You have a nice soothing voice and it adds so much to learn about the thought process behind the plays you make, as well as trying to suss out what the opponent is thinking.
Thank you! Yeah this has become somewhat my specialty. This match in particular had a lot of thinking time because RobotWizard also played pretty slow hehe. He definitely didn't want to lose to me I'm sure
Really enjoy these duelist theatres. Have you considered maybe editing down some games, and showcasing 2-3 games at a time instead? It might allow for more match variety and let us see the matchups against different deck archetypes. I love watching the full uncut games too, but at the same time I’d like to see how the Hu Tao deck does v. aggro as well as stall, and how you approach different matchups.
Haha I like soing these in part because they are light on editing and just require some commentary! Definitely a good suggestion though, they do tend to show biased matches, will consider it. Spoiler though its not a great deck into aggro lol.
You played elegantly minus the overkill, haha. Really interesting deck. I'm a stall main myself and I gotta say, Veteran's Visage is my new favorite card. It's just so satisfying to get 2 dice then 2 cards every round from AOE healing. Beating freeze decks, especially freeze stall, is also always satisfying AF, as a player of the double hydro aura mess-up-ers (Barbara and Kokomi). My motto in this game is, "You cannot freeze me in a way that matters."
🌟Treasure 🌟 This deck feels pretty good value, i love when more than 1 character in the deck can utilize equipment, especially weapons. And ngl 🌟Treasure 🌟still feels so fun to play even with 2 cost, digging for 🌟Treasure 🌟always really engaging, at least for me~ Also cute little Freminet art on the card, thank you little Penguin boy~❤💚💙
Hehe yeah!! I'm actually glad they changed treasure to keep it's effect but tune it down from being competitively dominant so that everyone is playing it. Having to play against it every match gets annoying fast because it takes a long time to play all the treasures
Blep, really a good video! Rightful is my fav card from this update - I cant believe this polearm became so offensive in tcg and with low cost as well hhaha
Haven't played TCG in a while, mainly cos I'm too small brained to deckbuild myself. Watching this gave me a bit of motivation to play some games later
I always love to hear that either a cast or video made someone want to play TCG more!! Deckbuilding is definitely hard and you shouldn't ever feel bad about taking a built list to try out so you can focus more on something fun like playing the matches. Good luck!!
@@darwinoconnor9558 oh LOL!! Binzu was literally just complaining about seeing the deck too often in coop queues HAHA 🤣 I guess as a content creator though I have to be happy that these videos make an impact
I am mostly building for Wildcard and this deck looks interesting to play. I don't know if it is worth playing in Wildcard though because I play Liyue Friends there and unless all the other decks involving Razor (for Hyper), Kuki and Yaoyao are garbage then I shall look at them first before doing the change. Liyue Friends is in a rough spot though because Lithic Spear requires too much of an investment and it makes you lose to crab unless you play it in a creative way so I wanted to know how well Razor, Kuku and Yaoyao fare overall in the game.
Haha I would not recommend this deck in a competitive setting. Particularly because large competitions tend to have a lot of aggro decks which this is not particularly good into. Razor seems still strong paired with Xingqiu/Chongyun and is probably doing better than Liyue Friends. Kuki/Yaoyao are decent paired together but you might be able to find a better 3rd than Hu Tao, not sure who though. Yaoyao/Seahorse might be a stronger combo that will come back due to Combo being less strong
Hello, new TCG update's details have been released. May I ask if you can preview the new cards and new buffs to certain characters like Diluc, Yoimiya, Ayato and Qiqi? Thanks. 🎉
Yes! I usually try to release balance changes + new cards in a video right around maintenance (although this video could be a bit delayed this time around and not be immeidately up during maintenance). Will definitely be covering the character buffs there
@@NewBeginnerVN hmm Yunjin has a lot of potential and synergizes well with discard so maybe. I think we might see one very good discard decks, but unlike Jeht or Treasure you can't play Discard with any deck so it shouldn't dominate the competitive meta
Unfortunately won't have time to upload more, I'll be away for a bit. The deck does lean really hard on rightful reward so any game where you don't draw it can be tough.
In some sense yes, they will be punished for healing. However, the fact that treasure heals all at once, and also most treasure decks care more about the dice, means the Seirai Island is not all that good against them. They might beat you with treasures before Seirai Island even gets to have an effect. Or they can just wait to play treasure until the effect is over. It's good against it, but not a counter
If you can't beat them, join them hehe. The deck is pretty weak to aggressive decks though - Kuki doing 2 damage to herself can be risky in those matchups
Does the deck not have enough slots for fortress? It sounds like it would be a great addition since it would get a lot of stacks But perhaps there would be too much competition for slots in that case
The deck is close to a combo deck - the healing just gives you a bit more sustain to get to Round 4, and to combo with equipment, but otherwise you're looking to end the game quickly once you have treasures set up. This game is actually somewhat close because I'm almost run out of resources but am able to take Neuvi out in time. Your support space is also super limited, and fortress taking up one is a big deal
Makes sense. Altho at a glance it does look like a stall deck in a way. Just like how crab is building up shield for more damage, tao is building energy to nuke, that's fair tho
@@blepthecat I totally get you cause I click and shuffle cards in my hand all the time when playing. I've actually been using spares while I'm playing seriously to help me focus

Yup Veterans is a stall staple for sure, but it really shines with Barbara and double Hydro!
Ive been playing with this kit (barring a couple changes to the deck) and am loving it. Lots of reactions and options. Super fun.
Awesome! Glad you enjoy it
@@blepthecat One prob is the amount of cards I generate. I need to swap more 0 cost cards in.
I’ve been thinking of ways to play hu Tao more because she’s so fun to ply but tricky to fit in decks. Definitely using rightful reward when I can

I think it was mostly because of the opponent lol. I sat up in my chair a bit when I matched
When will you start streaming again, I'm really curious on how you make Eula Sara Herald work
Morning: Watch TCG Akademy video on new deck. Evening: Play TCG, see the deck and lose.

Do you think if they made treasure cost two of any ele rather than two of the same it would be a bit better?
It would definitely be better, but I think 2 aligned is ok for it. If it isn't played enough we might see a reduction
Does the deck not have enough slots for fortress? It sounds like it would be a great addition since it would get a lot of stacks

Fortress slots best in stall decks, and like you said slots are tight
