Yeah, it's really artrocious. Immediately looks dirty and scratches so easily. Just plain matte black standard injection molding plastic would have been better in the long run.
Interested to see that it has roof bars fitted. One of the 'downsides' for many people of the original EV6 (and Ionic 5)was the lack of official roof bars as accessories. I have the old one. (It's the focus of my RUclips channel). And I use Thule bars on mine with no issues but would have liked some official Kia ones.
As a long-term EV6 owner, the tech improvements seem worthwhile (though not worthwhile enough to tempt me to upgrade) but I don't like the aesthetics. The old design has a really distinctive front end. Grafting the angular DRLs from the newer models onto the curvaceous EV6 body is just jarring. And inside, the new ccNc display housing no longer lines up with the HVAC panel below, which looks weird. Perhaps the most remarkable thing is how competitive the EV6 still is 3 years after its launch. It has a combination of style, build quality, driving pleasure, charging speed and practicality that few if any rivals can match.
Steering wheel controls are different. Will have the ccNC program now. The front end changes were a mistake. Wish they had made changes for the climate/stereo controls. Having them do double duty is unnecessary. Larger battery is welcome.
@@hahamasala if you google or check any forum ,reddit or facebook, u se that a lot of people have strugles with draining 12v battery and its comoon sadly
Likely because the rear is more like a sedan type, than a hatchback witch tends to gather more dirt. Sloping rear window, and the rear end with the pointy "spoiler" part keeps the dirt on the lower half, and not allowing it above that spoiler line. They probably know what they are doing.
keeping a car at showroom below 20%.... very good (irony mode) for battery health. I don't know how this still happens in 2024 in such advance country on bev adoption as Norway
You're actually supposed to store it at a low state of charge for long-term storage to prolong battery lifespan. Though this is typically closer to 30%. Still, 16% isn't that bad. Also the batteries in modern EVs are so robust it would hardly matter, the battery is lasting 20+ years regardless.
@@swecreations can you source me on that information of storage at low soc's? from what I read was supposed to keep around 50% as at high and low soc's it creates added stress to the battery causing faster degradation
@@freddykrueger79 Google will tell you that, you will get answers varying from anywhere between 20-50% depending on source. You can absolutely go too low but 16% isn't that far, especially as EVs have a small buffer that doesn't allow the absolute bottom voltage range of the battery to be used anyways.
Cause you're a basic person. 😊 Yeah it's so basic that it doesn't even have turn stocks. Believe it or not a lot of people still love physical buttons.
The old front design looks better imo
New front looks different for the sake of being different.
Absolutely! Please give me the bigger battery in the "old" car.
Same opinion, the LEDs were spectacular
Yes I think the new Kia design language will not fit everybodys taste. Especially EV5 looks horrible.
totaly agree... but matt-black finish is cool... finally... one step forward one steps back
Lots of reviewers are critical of glossy piano black trim 😄😁 and rightly so really 😬 good on Kia for taking it on board

Old one is much nicer!!!
I do like the ev6
The old front much nicer sportier and better looking lights, if I was in the market I’d skip this version, brother has old one in gt line much slicker
Please Review as soon as possible! I’m waiting for your EV6 FL review for months already.
Finally, they're realising that the mate finish is more premium than the glossy one. )))
Or it's just lower trim.
I wonder if it's possible to put the new console parts into the old ev6 to get rid of the piano crap?!

Man I hope you'll be able to get it tested this year! 🤞
I also heard that the OTA software capabilities are much improved aĺowing more comprehensive upgrades to practically all systems.
Old one looks better, front and rear.

It has new software too
Does it still make "ding ding ding" while reversing? That's what matters. But the matt finish is wonderful!
Looks good imo. 👍
Almost everybody thinks the original was better. Good job kia.
i don't know why they'd get pure black for the display. I can't see any features for piss.
EV6 looks great when you look at it from the side but if you look at it from the front it looks like one of those big girls with wide behinds 😂
That would be the 2025 model year?
Question is have they fixed their 12 volt battery issues with this 😂
Probably not.
Probably not.
What are the issues?

@@hahamasala It keeps dying. Have to be replaced etc. They have recalled most Ev6 because of this.
That new one is a lower trim, the old lower trim diden't have glosy inerior either. Very small changes in my eyes.
❤❤❤
Still no rear wiper!

What no rear wiper even the ionic 5 fixed that
Both designs are not for me, especially the back.
Old design is just unique they ruined it.
Just ban all Cars,Problem solved!
1:13 and this simple decision make me considering this car again... the amount of piano black was just absurd
A awful interior. Prefer the basic Tesla interior.
