I think these stations are pretty deadlocked with certain specs and power outages. That PSU is an SFF one and fits in snug. Youll have to find a replica. And even then, the motherboard might be getting the incorrect amount. Youll also need to find a low version of that 2060..
It is such a shame that Dell decided to put the x16 PCIE slot at the bottom for the later generation of their SFF Optiplex, giving us less choices for a low profile GPU. Thanks for the video!
Compaq also has them at the bottom, but implenent a riser card, in which you can place them horizontal. Would have been a better option and more contenders for bigger and better GPUS.
That i5 will put some stress on that PSU,i tried a 2400 on one of these and the power supply gets incredibly hot especially during summertime. While the motherboard itself will support 2nd gen 95W CPUs,the power supply is underpowered compared to others like the 7010 which have 265W with 80+ bronze efficiency. Dell doesn't recommend CPUs above 77W on this particular system and the only safe way to run 95W cpus in this would be to replace the PSU with one from a 7010 or a 990
Thanks for the info. But it still runs fine. I play Sims 4 on it from time to time, but it's mainly used as a 1080p editing machine. Works flawless as to date.
I have a problem with 3010 optiplex. I changed cpu to Xeon e1230v2 3.7ghz, added GT 1030 gpu and 16gb 1600mhz ddr3 ram. But cpu wont rut at full speed. it runs only at 3.3ghz instead of 3.7. Does anyone know why? I have win10 x64 with maximum performance power plan enabled.
I was smoochin with that girl in Sims 4 in like 2 minutes, ridiculous.
Just found this channel. GF's dad has recently dropped over an old slim line PC so think i might follow your lead! Subscribed!
Thank you! Have fun watching the other videos where i do refurbishing and upgrading stuff! ✌️
Is it possible that i can upgrade an optiplex mt by replacing the power supply with 450w one and put in an rtx 2060?

I have a 3010 on which I need to upgrade memory. Please mention the size of the ram size you inserted.
It's 2x2 (4)

how come you didnt take the fan and heatsink off the gpu and clean it up under it too?
Upon close inspection i saw that it was fine (didn't tape footage of that part) so I just cleaned it up.
This mainboard suport XEON E3 1225-V2 ?
I dunno man, you should check out the manual of the manufacturer.
