- MTV High School Stories - Phantom Printer Episode
A group of kids play a prank using the schools computer network and printers to print out thousands of pages of messages.
This took place at the North Hardin High School, but due to lack of permission from the school it was filmed at the Elizabethtown High School, so please do not post comments about where the filming took place.
I actually am in this video as the I.T. guy! Okay no autographs please... LOL
And no, I do not know any of the actual persons involved in the prank. They are featured in the video, but I was there only to fill a part of the script.
This show is one of the reasons why I thought HS was cool until I got to HS and I realized it wasn't 😂😂

This particular episode aired during the early 2000s and XP was the current OS. So stop it. Ugh.

MTV came to my school around 2008 or 2009 for a show I think it was for true life or something I know that it was not for pranks. I remember seeing the camera crew and I knew they was there because a group of people was surrounding them trying to get on the show. I seen my school on tv I just can't remember what show it was on.
I almost did this but since we all had assigned laptops it was not worth it

@punkgirlrock yeah you can but it only turns off the printer not the memory so once you plug it back in, it remembers that it still has these things print so it starts back up again.

I used to do this my freshman year and got like 3 detentions for it it was stupid I used to print random shit and then say it was not me lol

i got suspended a full year from computers which made it to wear i couldnt graduate since i couldnt complete my computer classes to get my credits
Why do they make loss and lack of computer privilege a consequence? We all got and need to plus must use a computer.

i printed around 500 of the fear the mullet ones and i cpulf send it to any printer in ther school district i ended up getting suspended but it eas well worth it

Dude, MTV came to film a whole show at my high school and my house because my brother sang with Dee Snider at a talent show.. but they never aired it.. this was in 2005. Atleast I could never find it online so I dont know if you'd have any luck. Try to find that episode of high school stories please lol

He possibly, hell probably he did hack the machine to where despite powering off/unplugging, it still will complete the printing task until the printer is out of paper/ink. This was a really clever idea/prank which now due to how technology is advanced would be very difficult to accomplish, but back then how easy it was to hack into windows 98/XP computers and do shit like this lol.

I think once the printer is plugged back in, the printer will still continue and resume printing until the printer is empty
