    Is there no way to add arpeggios to the rhythm patterns to create an arpeggiated style ?? That is really odd waaay cheaper boards roland came out with had that feature .... i got mine and was very disapointed that it lacked this very standard feature....my 8 year olds $100 casio plays style based accompaniments....wow

    Dear Sir,
    I recently purchased the Rowland FA 06 Keyboard and have encountered an issue with some of the buttons not functioning properly(Enter Exit,Shift, up,Down,left, right,Dec and INC). I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue. I am unsure if these buttons require specific settings to be assigned in order to function properly. Could you please advise me on how to resolve this issue?
    Thank you for your attention to this matter.
    Kind regards,

    the reason I bought the FA 08 is to sequence and create full songs. the biggest problem is creating rhythm patterns, won't cycle or loop properly.

    I bought my FA secondhand and noticed that sometimes this stuff doesn't work for me... so I tried multiple times because I need songs in 3/4 time and though the name changed and it showed it wrote the pattern it wouldn't actually load the sound.. Anyone help?

    Why don't the rhythm part. start on time from the last beat.Ex. the Cycle is off, Beat 4 to beat 1. also, shift to patt edit, there is no drum Instruments beats showing in the Selected patt.

    Great video Ed!! Is it possible to import a track from Ableton as a sequence into the FA? Thanks

    • @alexlouismusic
      @alexlouismusic 2 года назад

      you can import a midi file exported from ableton to sequence the FA sounds, or you could bounce the audio from ableton and import that as a sample. either is done through the SD card's import folder in the back of the unit. SHIFT->Song Utility->Import SMF (standard midi file)

    Can you guys make a video on how to balance the grand piano sound volume with the volume of the other instruments? I have to turn the knobs all the way to 11 not only from my FA-07, but from my interface as well to hear the piano sounds. After which if i change instrument it sounds like a jet plane taking off in my living room and all the peak leds on my interface light up the whole room.

      Niko S Yeah I’m having the same issue there’s no balance so if I get in the groove I have to adjust the volume the whole time between the pad and the piano

      Use studio set. Scroll the blue cursor to whatever track volume you want. Dial it from 0 to 126 (save) and repeat with the others if you want. Sometimes you have to bring everything down except your more subtle timbre.

    How do you program other time signatures, like 3/4 or 5/4 etc.?

      Kinda late reply but here we go :P
      If you "cursor" over a pattern, let's say Pattern C for instance, press the SHIFT+[6](Ptn Edit).
      Once you are into the pattern edit menu you can press [2](Setup) to choose a Time Signature as well as set the duration of the Pattern.
      If you import a pattern form a song, the initial time signature of the song is inherited.
      TL;DR for the stuff I've written below. Use Rythm Patterns for relatively simple stuff. Remember to choose the time signature you prefer before writting anything into the empty pattern, otherwise it doesn't allow you to.
      ------
      There are some limitations that shouldn't be a problem to you, unless you want to write some tricky and more complex patterns:
      - Compared to the sequencer capabilities, in Rythm Patterns you have a smaller variety of time signatures to choose from.
      - For some reason, you are not able to change the time signature of a non-empty pattern (It doesn't scroll to a new one). So make your mind on that before writting anything, otherwise you will have to write your pattern from scratch.
      - From the above you can also guess that, you are also not able to dynamically change the pattern's time signature. Let's say that you want the last measure of your 5/4 pattern to be on 11/8. You can't do that. On the other hand in the sequencer, you can actually create time signature events and change the time signature as many times as you like, at any point of your song. But if you import a pattern from a song with multiple time signature changes, the pattern inherits the initial time signature of the track, which will probably add unecessary empty space to the end of your pattern.

      @@nickdryle998 So, I can't change the time signature of the rhythm patterns already in the FA? They are all in 4/4 and have to stay there?

    • @nickdryle998
      @nickdryle998 4 года назад

      @@kristeenyoungmusic You can't unfortunately.
      It won't be allowing you, unless you erase all pattern notes, but I see no point in doing so.

    I love mine but I can’t figure out for the life of me why it doesn’t have at least some decent speakers on it. For the money it should

    • @goodvibrations2311
      @goodvibrations2311 3 года назад +1

      No high end synths have that which is a good thing. Speaker tech is moving along. I find my Bluetooth speaker works surprisingly well so try that. The Space Station is really, really impressive and a gig dream come true. Crowded bars are no match. The sound doesn't need loud (it can be) it needs to be everywhere. However, through my Axiom home speakers the FA simply is just amazing. So, in short, built in speakers don't do justice. I also have a digital piano with built in speakers that I've used as monitors when playing through a board (nice) and it is cool to feel it vibrate like a real piano especially when throwing some rag time.
