He punted from his own 5 and it landed on the opponents 12. That's effectively an 83 yard punt. Man needs to go D1 FBS no question. Cannon leg.

Honestly half of punters even at the NFL level have one type of punt.
The vast, vast majority of punters at the collegiate level have one type of punt.
Nearly every HS punter has one type of punt.
It mostly comes down to leg. Yes, they’ll apply different levels of strength. They’ll turn their body and punt directionally.
For almost everyone except Sam Koch there are at most two types of punts, and 90% of the time, or more, they’re going for a spiral.

@@j.g.mcbell9494 most punters in high school and on have two types of punts, one intended to bounce forward and one intended to die near where the ball hits. our high school teams regularly practice toe up and toe down drops on punts. it is pretty much expected around here. several even have curling kicks, but you can tell they were former goalkeepers that were comfortable imparting a massive spin on the ball.

We were up 6-0 at halftime. Their offense was god awful and couldn't move the ball whilst their defense was dominating outside of a lucky break away TD. Coming out from half they just punted and got the stop then kicked as soon as they were in range. We ended up losing that game 24-14.

I agree he needs to enter the transfer portal if he would like. However I watched a entire video about D-3/D2 punters that did such and crumbled under the pressure and never punted right in D-1. Sometimes, someone's fuel is the fact that they are the big fish in the little pond, and sometimes the big fish in the little pond can still be a big fish in a lake. If these punters true concern is a college education, there's plenty of D-3 and D-2 Ivy league colleges handing out good scholarships to punt at a D-1 level. Let them get a 35k a year education for free.

2 stats that are misleading. A QB
throws a 5 yd dump pass and the receiver runs 90 yd to the house...QB gets credit for 95 yards passing. A punter kicks the ball 40 yards and it happens to take a lucky bounce to roll another 40 yards and he gets credit for an 80-yard punt.
