I have followed Dereks teachings since 1974 and I can say that he is the most anointed influential blessed teacher, his fruit increasing even more after his passing. Bless Him.
Dear Lord Jesus, I’m in agreement with this message. Please help me and allow me to move out of my mothers house permanently. Thank you Abba Adonai 🥰 and please bring me to the right person. And give me insight understanding and wisdom, Amen 🤲🏻♥️✝️
I love Derek Prince. It’s always VERY GRUELINGLY PAINFUL though when He preaches about marriage. I divorced 20 years ago. I WAS AND HAD BEEN ON MY OWN FOR TWO DECADES. SO I had left my parents to Serve in military as helicopter pilot and civilian career. My wife and Her mother were enmeshed together. I never did feel that she married ME....SHE was married to her mother. Her mother injected venom As often as she could. If my wife had stood up and told her mom To give us space and stop saying hurtful things to me,..I would have Dealt very special and would have really loved her even more. ITS STILL PAINFUL TWENTY YEARS LATER. MOTHER IN LAW WAS A HUGE PART OF THE DEMISE. Thx for your teaching. LORD FORGIVE ME. I’ve stayed single all this time as I haven’t dealt Right about another relationship.
Hi Chuck, thank you for sharing your story. Derek speaks honestly and lovingly about divorced people in a different sermon, a studies on Romans, which we will publish sometime in the future. From the top of my head I can't remember which part of the series of Romans it was that he brings this up, but we will make a short clip of that as well.
@@chuckedgerton8555 You are not alone Chuck. I am in the same situation (split with the ex 20 years ago, never got into another relationship) and I have come to the same understanding as Derek. I prayed to God and told Him that if He has prepared someone for me, I'll be happy to remarry. If He hasn't, then He knows best. His will be done. I decided to follow Him and I am at peace whatever the future holds for me because I know He is with me. What more can I ask?
I remember my mother in law who wanted me to do everything she wanted when hubby and I got engaged. It drove me mad. She was extremely jealous about us. One day she phoned my hubby and complained to him about me not doing as she was telling me. My hubby said straight to her that he is not marrying her but me. Marriage is between the man and the woman. A woman can either make a man or break him. She can turn him into a success or break him completely. My father in law could have been very well off but she wanted him to have a job. That man could build highrise buildings and huge bridges. I loved him to bits and pieces.
I married before I knew Jesus....unequally yoked now since my husband refuses, doesn't want to know, feels its brainwashed stuff I am learning...many verbal fights, many times I felt its time to leave...but stay and continue to be unequally yoked.....I have never heard a single sermon on how to deal with this issue....plz help?
Dear Marcia, we're so sorry to hear this. We pray that God will open the eyes of your husband. You might find some comfort and advice in the Bible. The apostle Paul writes specifically about the situation you are in, in 1 Corinthians 7:10-17. However, the situation you're in, requires more than a scripture, a sermon or an advice. That is why we would recommend you to seek help in your local church. Be blessed, Marcia! May God give you wisdom.
Thank you Cassie I am so happy for ur reply, I will check out the testimony too. One day at a time...my husband is a good man, will keep working as God says I should, thanks afain.
@Nothing But Love More unscriptual advise from so called Christians who make it all about the woman and her chnaging emotions as usual ... In Exodus 21:10 , a woman was allowed to go free if the husband refused to provide for her food , clothing and sex . If her husband provides these three things to her , then she has no grounds for leaving. Food , clothing and sex are three things that nay husband can easily provide and relate to . Not women's changing emotional whims as preached today. Moreover , a wife's conduct can win a pagan man to salvation 1 Peter 3 .
In societies...including jewish and christian...where the extended family remians close to the married couple there is far more strengtg and support than in a message and life of once you get married dump everyone else...biblical examples of family units includes the extended family very closely ...often living in the same house and working in the same business...the message doesn't seem to include this part of the truth..
You're right, Patrick. Well said. I think Derek wanted to point out this truth to a specific group of people he had in mind. However I think he would totally agree with you also: involvement of the families was important in the Bible.
There's a part for the extended family but they too can meddle. I come from one of such cultures. DP is spot on with this teaching. A lot of men struggle to balance the family they were born into and the one they create.
So If marriage is essential on earth why is it not important in heaven. That is why I dont believe in marriage. No need to be married on earth if its not important in heaven.
Interesting comment, Braxton. I think you could say the same about sacrifice in Old Testament times. In heaven, sacrifice isn't important, but that doesn't mean it wasn't important for an Israelite during the time of Moses. Certain principles (like marriage) are invented by God with a specific meaning for this world. Even-though we're supposed to focus on heavenly things, we should also obey His specific commandments and institutions for this world.
@ Braxton Oertwig It is essential on earth because of our sexual urges. Marriage is for sex , for keeping us away from carnal temptations. Because marriage is at such a low , debauchery is going full swing , whether in the world or among Christians. Exactly what the BIBLE says ( 1 Co 7:4 /5) . Not what modern teachers say . They hold the truth in unrighteousness and turn marriage into something spiritual , which is not and has never been.
@@framboise595 Well yes it is said by GOD all is on earth has it is in heaven; and if marriage is not in heaven then marriage should not matter on earth. I'm sure marriage is a catholic church issue enforced to control people into submission.
@@DerekPrinceWithSubtitles Where does Derek Prince discuss and reconcile his marriage to a “divorced “ woman and biblical teachings on marriage? Was it his position / understanding that adultery was not at play because her prior marriage was not a Christian covenant? How and where in his talks or writings on marriage does he discuss how he reconciled biblical description of adultery and divorce with his own marriage. Did he consider the “supernatural” guidance he experienced as exempting him? For that matter how did he reconcile / justify his own “supernatural” experiences against dabbling with the supernatural that he labeled “occult”? He has spoken extensively on marriage as well as on the occult. It would be appreciated if you would identify specific talks or writings where he addresses the issues raised here. Thank you.
@I Mari great questions. Thank you! I'm not sure if Derek Prince ever taught about this topic explicitly. However, in the biography, he is pretty strongly questioned about this issue by his biographer and his fellow brothers in Christ. If you are interested, to read about this you can order the biography here: store-us.derekprince.com/purchase/derek-prince-a-biography. As you can imagine, when Ruth remarried with Derek, there was critique on his decision. The short explanation is that Ruth was a divorced woman. However, her ex-husband left her for another woman and so - depending on your interpretation of Jesus' and Paul's words about remarriage - Derek and Ruth were convinced that she had a scriptural basis to remarry. God also told Derek and Ruth that they were ment to marry to each other. He justified his supernatural experiences by his baptism in the Holy Spirit (with the evidence of speaking in tongues) and as mature christian being able to discern what was from God and what was from the devil. Hope that's answering your questions. Derek Prince Ministries

Can someone please help me to understand what was meant by “man and man” at the beginning of his lesson please?
I was thinking maybe he switched to talking about regular contracts between people, and not just marriage. Because homosexuality isn't biblical.

Did he just say in each of his marriages? How many marriages did this dude have? Lol
