@@rpmjunky2795 it has been like that since I owned it I think, I will have to go back and look at the previous rebuild videos again. you mean the way it is bent upward in the rear right? its a custom banana frame bruh :-D
Yeah the way the tail portion bends up. Probably from some wheely expert that slammed the grab bar off the pavement lol. My back plastics get a little tweaked when you go to bolt them down and my seat is a pain in the ass to clip in. These are just the issues I ran into. You might not have any lol
Yeah the whale tail makes the fenders bolt on weird. No problems with the seat so far. I will most likely leave it. I have looped it out a few times screwing around doing wheelies (GUILTY) Banshee will bite if you aren't careful!
Should’ve went with a round house swinger and and carrier. Jogaca did my rear shock and will be getting my front works shocks in the near future. Great guy great work good choice.
TrailBlogger I just ordered a swingarm shop stock length round house swinger for mine off eBay. Got the carrier through Vito’s grand total $464, I have the rotor and sprocket guards JDS performance sells that I’ve had for a year. I made the change to run the sprocket and rotor guards because in xc racing my skid plate gets hung up a lot once the trails wear in late in the race. I’ll report back on quality of the swinger I receive but $350 is a good price imo for a powder coated swinger with bearings pressed in already.
@@buckeyebanshee let me know I want to do the same thing but it has to be SOLID. I ditched my gaurd a long time ago also and just put and extra thick rotor on. I would like to swap to the round style also
know one wants to leave there machine behind. nice to see its not blown carriers never give you any warning until your 5 miles from your truck haha lucky on that jump its kind of slow and low that could have been bad for you another great vid man
ya I've been there before maybe it'll make one more ride haha nope but I've never had one lock up its usually one side that goes sprocket side for me so the chain will get real loose and slip and then you figure it out usually by that time the carrier end up being ruined
@@ononewheel7 this is the worst I have had one lock up to the point if I tried dragging the quad or pushing it by hand the rear wheels would not roll at all just skid along on the dirt. I have had them go bad but never like this. I was able to ride it all the way back like that though but even riding downhill I had to give it gas to move forward. push a lot of stress on the whole thing. was about like riding with the parking brake on if it still had one.
TrailBlogger Thats my uncles banshee haha. he has his toomeys on it now, but im sure the 2 into 1 will be back on lol. he changes between the two a lot.
I actually did use bed liner on the A arms the first time. it held up fairly good but it was hard to wash compared to the smoother paint like I used on the frame which is a ceramic engine enamel that I let bake in the sun to harden on there. I think I will just use engine enamel on it all this time
That's awesome that you're getting your Banshee all freshened up and it's good that you did not destroy your engine overheating it.👍
Great to hear that the banshee isn't blown up an cant wait to see it back together
what a great video. I look forward to seeing her back together and the process it takes. awesome stuff both of you.
going to a be a little cheaper than I thought at least!
Can't wait to see her on the trail again
Trail blogger you should do a video on fixing that bent subframe. My banshee is like that too and curious to see how you would fix it
I dont plan on doing anything to the frame but painting it lol
Ahh. Run into any problems keeping the frame like that?

Years ago on my first banshee I did almost the exact same thing, blew the rear bearing but she got me home.
That's a wicked little motor, good video.
can't believe she is still fine after all that!

Agree still shopping for a round style carrier but I do have a dual row billet that will fit right in the stock arm.

great vid bud, ever consider fox suspension?
I want to get some fox shocks but for now the yfzs are what I can afford
Which is better for trails yfz450r or rapter 700
They are both great quads for trail riding
@@trailblogger thanks man nice video by the way
Thank you

it gave me a little warning the day before I should known better but I just wanted to ride! lol
i figured I just had dust in the rear brakes or a rock stuck in the rotor because it went away for awhile.

TrailBlogger i can imagine is the axle ok ive done hat b4 as well when riding on a bad one for too long
What I’m hear is banshee revamping 🤔 this shall be epic once it’s done
yes sir! since the engine is still healthy I can focus on the other issues now
I did the exact same thing with my blaster years back, bearings started to go. Didnt want to wait. Took it out anyhow. Axle carrier got destroyed 🤣
yeah it's a little late when you are literally in the middle of the woods and you start to hear the screeech lol
@@trailblogger what killed mine was my friend practicing his driving on 2 wheels (left two wheel)
thatll do it! they sell a dual row carrier for the blaster?
@@trailblogger I'm not sure, I havent had my blaster for a few years now. Back into the banshee game.
Make vids of you fixing/rebuilding everything
coming up
Where do you order all your banshee parts/accessories?
Various places. I will post links.
TrailBlogger appreciate it!
Can't wait to see her ripping again
Is it to much work to have a banshee?
No.
Sweet! I need to bust mine back out again.
Are you still running that sick sounding Dynoport pipe?

Love my toomeyss I don't blame him!
