Flying the DJI Mavic Air with the new DJI Fly app

The newly released DJI Mavic Mini brought a new app along with it, called DJI Fly. A cut-down version of the DJI GO 4 app to better suit the needs of new flyers. The only drone that officially works on the DJI Fly app is the new DJI Mavic Mini, after some testing and a video from iAdventurez, we have been able to get both the DJI Mavic Air and DJI Spark working in the new app.

Thanks for the video. I wonder if the DJI Fly app is going to work with Samsung Galaxy Ultra S22 and DJI Mavic Air since it's not on the compatibility list. It really sucks that the DJI GO 4 app is no longer compatible with new phones. When I bought DJI Mavic Air for over $1000 I expected that I can use it for longer time than just few years.

DJI FLY is a very weak and stripped application ... why use it if it is much better dedicated to MAVIC AIR - DJI GO 4 ???

The only thing i get is.. Big red letters ( GEO zone) authorized!! I put my wife to read it, my cousin to decipher all this, and nada!! What else. should i factory reset my drone? I already send my Drivers license to dji, my social security#, my address, my phone number, my credict card#, my bank account#, my wifes DLs. Even my credict score. And still cant get it to fly.. Should i send my DNA?

You've obviously got more dollars than sense if you fly your drone over water using a buggy app. I'd have laughed my head off if you drowned it.
Any long term Air owner knows Litchi is the best mobile device app for the Air. Why is it? Because it's got better camera/video settings, better Wi-Fi connectivity and one HUGE addition: the ability to create waypoint flight missions.
