Canada is such a nostalgia factory when it comes to animated shows. If you grew up in America or Europe you most likely saw more than three CanuckToons
You know what Teletoon should do? They should make a new channel with MOST of the old shows that used to air on their channel. They should also include the old bumpers. It would be awesome for ALL the 90s kids/babies, and everyone would be happy. Kids today would have the unwatchable Teletoon, whereas we would have the old and awesome Teletoon with ALL the good shows!

It's 2017, this generation doesn't know how to make good shows anymore. At least Grojband and 6teen have what we don't anymore, morals - well Grojband sort of does it in a weird way but the point is that I know people don't like that in shows anymore. Sure Grojband's songs are cheesy and 6teen can be silly, but we can get a good laugh at it. sometimes we just want to watch something stupid just to forget life for a while. While I was more of a YTV kid growing up and I was losing interest in Teletoon near the 2010s, there were still a few shows that I enjoy in this era like Total Drama Island, Johnny Test, Wayside and Splicec (the latter is one of the biggest inspirations for my passion project show). A part of me is going to miss Teletoon and all it did for Canadian kids of my time.
Once Corus took over the channel was history, Teletoon wasn't broken like 6teen and Total Drama Island had Series Finales because it matched Teletoons young adult demographic.
I heard that it was a rebranding, they shut down Teletoon retro though. Shows just aren’t as good anymore, because of lack of creativity, and lack of action, it’s all about the numbers and, about the money, and I feel that when the money came in, the love of the job died. I don’t wanna sound pessimistic, but I feel we’re gonna go into an age of conformity, because of the lack of originality and critical thinking being thrown out the window.

GloomyHarukaYT Actually Spider Riders is a joint project between Teletoon and an animation company in Japan. This is not uncommon for Teletoon as they frequently do international collaborations. I good example is Totally Spies, Bromwell High or Planet Sketch. Cybersix is an extreme example, having the original work from Argentina, the writing and development in Canada and the animation in Japan.

What happened to Teletoon's original productions? Very few are being made, and the last ones made in traditional animation were Digata Defenders and Class of the Titans which ended around 2008. Seems like when Corus Entertainment took over, this channel died.
so far the only teletoon original that got rebooted was Totally spies and it was more like a revival. I didn't ask for that I thought the series finale was perfect

so far the only teletoon original that got rebooted was Totally spies and it was more like a revival. I didn't ask for that I thought the series finale was perfect
