  • World Trade Center Survivor Dolores H., and Family Member Tracy G. share their personal stories of September 11th in their 9/11 Tribute Museum presentation of We Were There on stage at the National September 11th Memorial Museum.
On 9/11, Dolores worked for Morgan Stanley on the 64th floor of the South Tower. Her story focuses on a pivotal moment in her climb down the stairs that gave her motivation to keep going even though her body could not physically take it.
Tracy's only child, Terry, worked for Cantor Fitzgerald on the 104th floor of the North Tower. After his tragic death on 9/11, Tracy speaks of going to therapy, her closeness to her son, as well as the validation that she and her husband felt as parents when she found notes that Terry had written in one of his old gym bags.

Terry had a 100watt smile. As a mother my heart aches for her.

I love this! You found strength to stand when you should have been all out of strength bc you wanted to get your friends out! You three helped each other💕 this is one of my favorite stories bc it shows the human will to survive but also protect.

OMG, I would have been one of those people barreling past you to get out and i would have probably screamed in your face, COME ON, LADY, LET'S GO, MOVE IT!! Haha! I'm very clostraphobic. All joking aside, I'm a nurse and it was the first day of my week off. I spent it sitting in front of the TV just bawling all week at the horror of what happened to you, all of you, in NYC and in the Pennsylvania field and Pentagon that day.
