Once it's on the MSFS Marketplace here in USA I'm buying! If it doesn't make it in perhaps a week I'll bite the bullet and buy from Just Flight, but I am a fan of the ease of updating from within the game...
Great you took the time to review it again and confirm the ongoing improvements which sets JustFlight apart from "lazy" Carenado, who never update unless it is really broken.
Thanks! You say that but there have actually been a couple of big updates a few days ago for the Seminole and the new Seneca which are definitely worth checking out if you have them.
Cheers for another interesting video, to get real world insight into the handling is priceless, much more important than the exterior model which you really can't see from the pilot's seat. I hope Just Flight take more interest in these observations. Thanks again.
Great video! Piper Arrow is indeed the best airplane in the entire stable… I hope that this new update will fix the gear extension problem that I got after the last update with my logitech multi panel. I can no longer retract my gear on either the logitech panel or in the SIM… As a matter of fact, the gear lever on my logitech panel now controls the beacon switch.!
With regard to the emergency gear control, the click area to control it is just in front and just behind the control. When you were waving your mouse pointer over the control and saying it doesn't work, just for an instant the pointer changed to a rear facing arrow, that's the rear click area and the front is the same distance in front.
Good review. One thing they have added which is not mentioned is a touchscreen GTN750 option on the tablet which turns up as an option if you have installed the GTN750 addon.
I'm pretty sure they don't have all those aerobatic aircraft at Church Fenton/Leeds East. ;-) Enjoyed the vid. Personally, I'm waiting for the Turbo Arrow. I loved that plane in X plane, and can't wait to take it for a spin again. My current favourite is the Spitfire for MSFS. It's a joy to fly.
Wow mate. VERY NICE VIDEO!!!! You are one of the best instructor/youtuber i have watched. Your detail of everything you show is incredible and your speed at which you speak is nice. Some people talk so fast it's hard to keep up. I just upgraded my Arrow III to the newest version 5.0 and all of a sudden the amber light above the 3 green lights flashes all the time. I didn't even know what that was for and how to stop it from blinking. But you explained it perfectly. :-) I am a pilot in training myself and I fly a Piper Cherokee 161 Archer and love it. I have flown a Cessna 172 as well and prefer the Piper by far. I do want to say, i really like my instructor. Great guy. But i would love to have you as my instructor as well. I would feel 100% comfortable flying with you. Great job mate. Keep up the great videos. Now if you can make an update on the Arrow ver. 5.0 now and see what they changed from 4.0. :-)
Prop slipstream effects, crosswinds, wet runways etc all contribute. There’s not a great deal of rubber on the tarmac to help you keep it straight after all!
@@FlyFromHome Very strange. I just double-checked and the JF Arrow III doesn't show up and neither do JF under the creators/developer category. Perhaps the release on the MFS marketplace has been location based for now (EU here).
Great video thx! Just a question on how to navigate using the HSI and the GNS530. I am familiar with both but not when to set the next course when you have a FlightPlan programmed. You do this when the Garmin says “next track.. degrees”? Or when it says turn now.. Just wandering as I only flew glass cockpits but love the dials!
How do you tell if a product got an update on JustFlight? Do you redownload it every week seeing if the same version? Because the main page doesn't say version anything, when I look at redownloading it, doesn't say anything about a version. Thank you for uploading the video to give us an update on the update.
Using a HC yoke also, I find the elevator controller very heavy and have tried various sensitivity setting. Would appreciate knowing what your sensitivity settings are set to. Thanks for your great videos.
Just the standard settings I think, maybe with a slight curve in the pitch axis. I usually keep them fairly linear on the HC yoke though since it has such a great range of motion. The arrow is a very heavy aircraft in pitch in real life though, so be prepared to deal with that! I usually warn my students about how much effort it takes to pull off the runway and in the flare when I’m introducing them to the aircraft.
@@FlyFromHome Thanks, flew it many, many eons ago for my Commercial Complex checkout , also about 16 years ago had some time in a friends Pa-32 right seat flying. Just don't recall such heavy pitch controls.
Watched a lot of reviews of this plane I bought from Just Flight and you touch most if not all the the real experience usage. Great stuff. Did not see it in the official MS Market that I prefer so picking it up there again and remove the Just Flight one. Should be able to choose this without paying it twice but ok.
I’ve got a review on both if you have time to check them out! The turbo is better for high altitude cruising but is a little more complicated to fly. Just depends on personal preference!
Can't they just stop forcing all purchases only from the Sim's marketplace? We can do our download direct from the developers website and plonk it into the Community folder like we do with every other thing. I've been prevented from buying from marketplace because of something to do with xbox registration or whatever.
@@FlyFromHome I just found that out, thanks - however, it appears as if transactions from my region of the world are verboten...Nigeria, that is. Cos I've made several attempts to purchase that have proved unsuccessful. Sighhhh!!!!
Still the best and improving add-on thus far for MSFS 2020.

Just Flight sends a notice to your email when they publish a new version and with a few clicks you will have the update installed.
Great stuff, thanks for the in-depth background and knowledgeable review. Love this plane in MSFS.

Nice informative upload. Thankyou for taking the time. I love the plane both in P3D and MSFS.

Yeah I was clicking all over those spots in front and behind. Not sure if it’s for everyone, but it’s certainly bugged for me right now.
Good review. One thing they have added which is not mentioned is a touchscreen GTN750 option on the tablet which turns up as an option if you have installed the GTN750 addon.
Yes I saw that, I was thinking of featuring that as a separate video at some point!
Good god! I love this aircraft! It made GA flight in the simulator amazing!
It is good isn’t it? 😊

Pitts Special owner’s club meeting I guess 😂
Yep, the Spitfire is absolutely excellent, it’ll be making an appearance on this channel at some point!

@Necramonium 07:08 ;)
Was good to see you working to keep it on the centerline on start. I though I'm just not getting it, but it seems to be normal.
Yeah it can be a chore to keep it straight at times, even in real life.
@@FlyFromHome really? Wow
Prop wash?
Prop slipstream effects, crosswinds, wet runways etc all contribute. There’s not a great deal of rubber on the tarmac to help you keep it straight after all!
The Just Flight Arrow III is not available on the MFS marketplace yet; that's the Carenado version only.
Nope, they’re both in there now!
@@FlyFromHome Very strange. I just double-checked and the JF Arrow III doesn't show up and neither do JF under the creators/developer category. Perhaps the release on the MFS marketplace has been location based for now (EU here).
Yes, you’re probably right. It’s in there in some regions but not others.
I'd buy it outside the market anyway. Aircrafts bought within the market are encrypted. No mods can be made for them.
@@FlyFromHome NOPE not true only the Carenado one is in the MS Market not the Just Flight version

You turn on the *turn now* prompt. The ‘next track’ one is just to warn you to reset your CDI. Glad you enjoyed the video!
@@FlyFromHome thx if I understand well you turn the CDI at the “next track” warning and start an actual turn of the aircraft at the “turn now” ?
@@TDJ737 Yep!
thanks for this.. really well done mate
No Need to wrap it up I'll hope right in ;)
Thanks for the update breakdown 😀👍
I would be interested in what configs you have set up for the honeycomb yoke ☺
Just the default settings I think! It auto binds all the switches for lights etc when you load into the sim with the yoke connected.
@@FlyFromHome thanks for the reply 😀👍
Yeah ive just received my honeycomb yoke and its great!
Sets itself up automatically ...phew! 😀
no carb heat you say hmmm perhaps its a small piece of metal that bends to temperature if memory serves ??
It’s a fuel injected aircraft, so there’s no carburettor 😉
@@FlyFromHome ahh righto when I went to bed i did think that and thanks hope to get the Just Flight version deffo

will you do a video on the Turbo Arrow III/IV?
On the way soon!
Using a HC yoke also, I find the elevator controller very heavy and have tried various sensitivity setting. Would appreciate knowing what your sensitivity settings are set to. Thanks for your great videos.
It is incredibly heavy with the HC yoke, I agree.

huh I can't find it on the marketplace. must be a regional thing?
Yeah it seems to have released in some regions and not others 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for that very informative update. Does it simulate ADS-B?
No, the transponder in this aircraft is quite old so no ADS-B. It’s modelled after a UK based aircraft and it’s not mandatory over here yet!
How did you get QNH on the Altitude window?
You mean the QNH in hectopascals? Think it changes when you select the 'hybrid' system of measurements in the MSFS options.
Please ask them to modify this old fashioned autopilot to a modern one because lots of people struggle and they want a sooner change
It's supposed to be close to study level. So of they just made the autopilot newer it would be unrealistic.

Its not in the MS Marketplace. Only the Carenado one that is not the Just Flight one that is way better !!!
I know that aircraft, put fuel in it everyday at work 👍🏻
Anybody who has both, do you recommend the Just Flight Piper Arrow III or the Turbo Arrow III/IV package?
I’ve got a review on both if you have time to check them out! The turbo is better for high altitude cruising but is a little more complicated to fly. Just depends on personal preference!

Well that sucks! Maybe try emailing them directly?
Bah, the exterior texturing is still subpar. Should have been patched already at release.
Can this aircraft fly ifr ??
Yes, absolutely. It doesn’t have any kind of airframe or prop anti-icing though so you have to be careful about operating in cloud!
@@FlyFromHome Thanks a lot ! You're reviews are very detailed and very professional compared to other reviews on RUclips!
