    Wow! I was looking for a piper arrow to fly in MSFS because I missed flying the real one back in the day. How surprised was I when I realized you are flying the exact plane C-GQYI ! Now I really must get this addon. Any way to change the interior color? I don't really like that red. plus the real one was blue inside as far as I can remember.

    • @SimHangerFS

      That is amazing coincidence! The red colour is default. You would need to look for a mod on flightsim.to website, not sure if anyone has done this yet. Regards

    Is there a way to get altitude hold on this model? I know the Piper IIIB doesn't have it, but it would be nice in the simulator. That way I can walk away for a few minutes and not have to worry about trimming the airplane.

      The Carenado option should be a reasonable choice. the Just Flight model has a few more options, not sure on the flight model, Carenado does tend to be a little generic in its modeling. Regards

    Thanks for the revew. Want to my that bird in MSFS, but it looks a bit different in the MSFS marketplace. The proppeller in the review is 3-blade, in-game 2-blade. The interrior and the yoke in the review is realistic and worn out (not just as you poited out - clean and dirty, but really different), in the marketplace screenshot these are all new. Is it the same model there?

    • @MrEvryn
      @MrEvryn 3 года назад

      The on is the marketplace is Caranado's version , a different creator, this is the Just Flight version of the Piper, in my opinion the JF version is superior, you have to buy the JF one from their websight

      @@MrEvryn Thx, I've already figured it out and have been flying on JustFlight's version for a couple of monthes. • @SimHangerFS
      @SimHangerFS  3 года назад

      The aircraft will naturally want to bank to the left due to the rotation/torque from the prop. This happens in a real aircraft. There are a number of things you can do to counter this. Check your aileron trim and adjust this to maintain straight flight. Regards

      @@IrishMcGillan The issue you describe was a thing for the longest time during Alpha-early release.. Sometimes the updates Asobo will put out screw things up, however, like OP mentioned, try messing with the sensitivity settings under the controls menu to see if that fixes the problem as well.

    • @IrishMcGillan
      @IrishMcGillan 3 года назад

      @@NULINUS I believe there is a new issue now. The SIM will take terrain and it will extend upward Toward the sky. I've messed with all the settings and the plane will roll completely to the left even though I'm turning the yoke to the right. This SIM has had nothing but issues since day one. This should have never been released until they were really 100% sure everything was good to go. It's very frustrating. I have flown other planes in the SIM and they do not do this deep roll dive to the left.

    Good video, but I need to point out that you flew your pattern a bit too far and high. Real worl traffic pattern is as follows: take off straight out till 700 agl or is directed by atc. 700 agl turn crosswind (assuming uncontrolled field). Level off on crosswind then turn down wind at 1,000 agl. Generally you want to be within 1/2 mile of the runway on downwind. A god visual reference for me in a pa28 is to have the wingtip just covering the Runway on downwind. Throttle and trim for 90 knots on downwind. Abeam the numbers throttle back to 1700 rpm in a pa28a (fixed gear fixed pitch) or in pa28r (the arrow) gear down, the drag from the gear should make the plane want to descend but hold altitude till airspeed bleeds off till abou 80 knots (below white arc) the add your first notch of flaps. Maintain 80 knots and 500 fpm rate of decent until 200ft below pattern altitude or 45 degrees from the numbers. Turn base then add second notch of flaps and pitch and trim fro 75. Turn final then 3 seconds after turning final add last notch of flaps, pitch trim and throttle for 65knots and glide scope. The real pa28 has a fair amount of wing loading so you’ll need to hold the power in through the flair the cut power once leveled out in the flair otherwise the plane will “pancake” on to the runway. Hope this helps!

      Hi, thanks for the info, good to know. I deliberately extended the downwind leg etc for the purposes of the tutorial. Regards

    Good video but the plane seems boring physics-wise. The airspeed comes on at 1ktn airspeed? Not A2A quality by a long shot eh?

    • @SimHangerFS
      @SimHangerFS  3 года назад +3

      The aircraft physics are a surprise to me, having flown a PA28 IRL. It is remarkably accurate . The aircraft has a reputation as forgiving and easy to handle, popular still today with flight schools. It’s reaction to airspeed on take off and landing has been well modelled.
