Moral of the story. TeT on your own in another country specifically if you don’t speak the language is a bad idea. Glad that you had people with you who could help.
One of the best of many many Offroad videos I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen thousands. Incl seeing lots from your riding buddy johan. Superb videos, well done.
Thanks, that’s very kind of you. Putting these videos together takes A LOT of time and effort so it’s very encouraging to hear your positive feedback. I may try to make another one this year during the next trip. All the best!
You are the kindest man I’ve ever met - Hospital threw you out and you call it «not ideal» 😁 Thanks for an amazing trip, looking forward to the next one!
Hi Shem! Micha
Hi Shem (Pszemek?) This is a very valuable video for motorbike travellers, thank you for your effort. I travelled also from the UK to Alps a few times, this year planning to to go to Pyrenees and your experience just get me thinking about all the details you mentioned about the insurance and TET difficulties. Insurance details are very important (especially that I travel on my own). I may need to amend my plans slightly :), thank you for very detailed explanations. Also, I noticed that you and your friend from Spain use 21Brothers luggage systems. As they as solid as they say? There is a company called Redmamut and I am considering their product or 21Brothers for the next trips.
Thank you for your kind words. Indeed, it is Przemek :). Yes, for the next off-road trip abroad I will definitely pay more attention to the insurance aspects. I've been using the 21 Brothers Luggage for over 2 years now and I have been really happy with it. The weight is pretty good vs the amount of space that if offers, and it is fully waterproof. During one on my crashes, one of the bottom straps was ripped of from one side of the luggage, but this could happen to any luggage under these conditions. So all in all I'm happy with it. I've never come across Redmamut, so I cannot comment regarding how it compares. All the best!
Thank you and my apologies for the typo. Thanks a lot for your opinion about the bag, I am considering buying now. All the best with your new adventures !@@Shem

Sure. I was using Forma Terra Evo Boots which as not as rigid as proper MX boots, but the are one of the most rigid adventure boots you can get. I was wondering if having a proper MX boot would have prevented this injury but I'm doubtful... after all, my left foot got twisted left and even the most rigid boots cannot prevent if from happening as it not anchored anywhere, it will just spin around your shin. Any thoughts? Saying that, having more rigid boots wouldn't hurt. This is the reason why I have recently purchased the Gaerne SG-12. All the best!
Thanks for your thorough reply. I agree, no boot could prevent that kind of twisting. I use the Alpinestars Tech 7s when riding off-road. Very rigid boots but extremely comfortable. I believe both Tech 7s and Gaerne SG-12s provide similar protection. Hope you are fine now and enjoying your riding on dirt again. All the best! @@Shem
@@MotonJoy I've tried the Tech 7s, but they did not feel comfortable on my feet. They had a hard 'bulge' in the middle of the foot, on the inner side. I presume this makes them a better fit with some foot shapes but it did not at all work for me. I did not have this issue with the SG-12, so I went with them instead. All the best!

I really wonder what to do in similar situation when you are travelling on your own.
