"should we play more? I dunno I feel weird like, we don't usually keep playing after we stop but if people are psyched we will play more songs. I hope everybody feels good cause we just wanna feel good."
This version of Kids On Holiday is incredible. The delayed screams at the end with Panda's voice soaring over the top is one of the most intense sonic experiences i've ever had.
There are very few bands that can give a mind blowing live show after they have "made it". I find that the songs of this era actually work better live in a way, where as their newer stuff is so produced that it's challenging to play live. They are still very good live but wow... back then they were just spectacular I wish I had known them in 2004... so pure.
wow! I was here and tried taking a minidisc recording from my spot standing against the stage. Needless to say, it turned out terribly :) I came to this excited for Sung Tongs material and was blown away by the Feels material. Thank you AnCo!
Sooooooo happy and grateful for this. I've always lamented not having been able to see them touring around the time of my favorite album, so thanks for sharing a glimpse of what it was like
Everytime i listen to one of their recordings it makes me want to get better so i can perform one day. I love them so much. Just hearing how they built these songs for years and how they grew with them. God. Its like a religious experience. They qre fantastic live. I wish i could have seen one of these early shows.
My friend, the tragedy of missing out on their early work in a live setting is a brilliant motivator for creating that kind of live experience yourself :))
How you about to tell me I finally find a captured Tikwid live version, and it cuts off??... Please guide me where the full version exists. thank you if you choose to take the time to help me.
This must've been one of the last shows geo played on, he took time off from touring for a bit so they were just Deakin, Panda, and Avey...see the eye interview or live at the old market for evi-dance💃
True. You can tell they are missing something important in the sound in that performance. It’s a good performance but Geo’s atmospheres and samples are so crucial to bringing out the full experience of a lot of these songs
This was a great listen, though not the best version of Grass I've ever heard. I always look forward to a performance of Grass since seeing them play it live is what made me fall in love with Animal Collective.
These artists demand an indulgent listening at the beginning, then they lend their beauties and their intelligences flayed, until one is ineluctably caught in their worlds. Each listening unveils a little more of their mysteries and their fairies but most of these songs do not become timeless, far from it!
Hey AnimlCollctve. I got one lol Here goes:. Hey Animal Collectivity, tell me you're not quite tripping as hard as you're rolling, but it's starting to get really intense..coz you're past the weird nauseous come-up.......without telling me you're not tripping as hard as you're rolling. Tell me that.

banshee beat is one of the best songs ever writen
i don’t think it was written. like lou reed said of the best acts, “how do you write rock music?”
it’s a very emotional song and definitely a tearjerker for me
the material from the feels era always had a kind of mysteriousness to it...i like it

I couldn't agree with you more.
the golden age
of all the live performances I've listened to of AnCo on youtube, this is by far my favorite.
i've been listening to this for a couple of years and I think the same.
I would pay good money to see them play this live. Unfortunately nobody will ever get the chance to see them perform Feels live.
Spliffword Medicalz wouldn’t doubt the possibility on the upcoming tour!
@@kylelindstrom1916 I hope so. I live in California I've been wanting to see AC. I was going to go to Desert Daze but it's sold out.
that's the real feels of feels
saw them a few years ago and they played fickle cycle and the purple bottle. it was insane!!

This shows good for differentiating which guitar parts Avey and Deak play (Avey’s more on the left, Deakin’s more on the right)
42:40 lol
step up bro

Amazing how grass and fickle cycle were the same song at some point
Excellent Tikwid. I wish they still played it
Around the 40 minute mark, shit gets downright tribal.
wow this is really really early live feels!
I NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR

It's the light from his headlight. He probably swayed his head upwards, causing the camera to capture it as shape
