Hi guys, i have this car since 2016. 5-6 years so far now. I didn't face any specifics issues except normal use (fluids, breaks, ignition coil one time ... = normal use.) as far i am = 130 000 km from scratch = 80778,255 miles ;) 116i is same motor as 118i (170ch & same motor elements). not some turbo and "linked material" for 120i and ++. "just saying" : turbo is different from 114i to 116i for exemple. from 116i/118i to 120i and ++ and so on. but as far as i am, reliable and fun :) You could be always happier with more, but i am satisfied with if for now : commuting and go on onlydays ! i think i could go on 200 000 - 250 000 km easy with normal/casual maintenance. To let you know : live in france. not specific harsh condition Peace on you all
I can't believe how could anybody call this car ugly D= It's an amazing car, I love, and I'm about buying one in a couple of weeks. I always love BMW and I want one since I remember, and the first time I watch a 116i I fell in love with him. I'm looking forward to put my hands on it for the first time, this will be my first car and I'm so excited. I wish someday I will be able to buy a M5, but until that, I'll enjoy this little beauty =D
Your joking right! BMW's have been coming to the US since late 60's. With the 3 Series growing in size with each new design change, we need the smaller 1 Series to replace the Old 3 Series. I had been driving BMW's since I purchased my first one in early 1973 ( 2002 ) and I want you to know that there is a real change happening in the US. There are more and more small cars being driven here. This is not only true in Europe!
Hi. does this have only one reverse light? I have the same car but only one reverse bulb works. They said its the new bmw light design. Is this true? Nice indepth review!
Leather seats, auto gear box, business audio, xenons and multifunction steering wheel seem to be the only options embodied. Other than these, the car seems pretty empty. A more equipped version would be nicer.
Gabriel Oporto this is what I'm interested in.I want to buy 116 of 122 power.It works just like diesel.I thought the engine was defective but it looks like everyone works as well diesel engine becouse have a chain
Ive just filmed an depth video on my 2012 116i, the sound clip is towards the end. Not the smoothest lump bmw have made, but then again it had input from Peugeot and Citroen :)

So fist of all the Car has NO Leather seats and it has a radio PROFESSIONAL with the iDrive. If you don´t have any knowledge what so ever why don´t you just shut up? btw the car is pretty equipped but you can´t always expect a fully loaded car.. just saying :-)

The revolving black bars on the sat nav display are only due to the refresh rate on the camera, they are not actually there.
I agree at first I was a bit hmm but then the sport trim looked better and now its grown on me. Ordering one I think.
