Oh god, that's an amazing tutorial here. I hope it's going to blow up; watching a workflow-like tutorial with PRACTICAL egzamples is really helpful. Cheers!

Welcome to my longest tutorial so far! Thank you for 1K subs, I couldn't have done it without all of you.
Please check the video description for the texture links and some addons you should make sure are enabled.

    Here's a tip:
    1. decide if your object is metal
    2. If it is metal, then turn the metal value to 1, then use change the roughness until you get something that you like
    3. If it isn't, turn the metal value to 0
No in between, it's yes or no

nice tutorial, I learned a lot here.
also, you could join those screws to one object, and then boolean them

Very interesting Blender work. I learned a lot. Got it till 26:04... with a lot of effort (+/- 10 hours). After saving As ... and reopen it, the body is trackless in Object Mode. Only the lens , screws and the 3 little side panels are still visible. In Edit Mode everything is visible, except the 6 rows of holes in the front panel and the 1/2 semi-cavity spheres at the top. Do you have any idea what's causing ?

@@bertrandvandekerckhove2722 did you accidentally hit the slash key on your number pad?it happens a lot by accident and it will remove everything out of focus from view

Yep shadowsketch is right, that's the local view which exposes a single object at once. Hit the numpad backslash again to reshow everything.

@@WintermuteDigital Thank you for your interesting answer ... which may also be useful for other Blender users.
Unfortunately, it hasn't solved my problem. I'd like you to share my .blend file, but in what way?

Eevee supports transparency and can even do some real nice lens effects with only minimal effort. Pretty nice tutorial
