Best boat tour. I love the way they customized it to their needs for living and working on the water. This is the boat I would want. I like a big boat, but who needs a charter layout for two people and one crew. I love all the storage space and the well thought out electrical systems.
@@stelliform Yeah they were essentially the same as far as describing the layout. The Wynn's had the sailing component in their review I did notice there were some equipment "upgrades" that appear to be carried out after the Wynn's sail For example. At the base of the mast there appears to be now a full set of line blocks whereas previously it appears that the mast lines all went through a "combining ring" At the winches, Jason broke a jammer while trying to winch a line that was hmmm, off angle to the winch. I just rechecked the video and while Jason suggested a line organiser block be fitted, that doesn't seem to be there I'd just like to see a review of the fittings and fixtures (joinery etc) for a standard version of these boats
One nice boat, and nicely customized to order. Neel seems to be quite the game changer. So gracious of the owners to allow a tour of their beautiful boat, and be part of it as well. I expect your videos will sell some Neel trimarans, Bobby, by increasing awareness of this fine builder.
@@clifbradley Well, can't really fault them for that. The Wynns' opinions weren't very favorable. They were handed a hurricane damaged boat and didn't know how to properly handle it once the repairs were made. It was very different than what they were used to (catamarans). They needed more time on the boat. I don't blame either party.
@@jamesaron1967 I just think it's funny that Bobby is friends with Nikki and Jason, and they were at the awards thing at the same time and hung out with them, a d that was right after the Wynn's had gotten off the boat so you know it must have come up in conversation and Bobby even said that the owner's were new friends, which means he probably met them on land because of Nikki and Jason and then Bobby gets on the boat and doesn't mention them. I don't blame him though. I think he wanted to showcase how great the Neel's were and the Wynn's obviously had completely different opinions on the boat. They liked it, but it wasn't their cup of tea. So their videos wouldn't be in line with what Bobby was pushing. Thanks for the in depth tour.
If you can afford the NEEL 47 I would definitely buy it over the NEEL 43. The extra room, the way the boat is set up, the dynamic visibility, the overall comfort, the accommodation for guests are all pluses, particularly the location of the master bedroom. I would be very happy to sail at NEEL 47. My only concern would be the single engine but I expect that could addressed with one or two outboards.
@@zorbakaput8537 Things can go wrong with your sails such as de-masting. With two engines usually one of them will work. @@tonyleverett1483 Honestly, there were hardly any comparisons made between the two models in this video. They weren't shown side by side either. It was basically a tour of this couple's Neel 47 highlighting some of the technical aspects and modifications.
Would love to see the detailed schematic of the electrical systems he put together, I think most people would want to do something similar across their boat.
Gone with the Wynns recently delivered this boat for Craig & Katy. Things didn't go smoothly as there were broken parts in the rigging? The dog being great was a sure thing.
Have you decided the Neel 47 is your next boat yet? Awesome boat tour and they did a fabulous upgrade and personalizing touch in everything they did to Supernova.
Cool boat... You did it a lot more justice than the Wynn's did. I am disappointed that we didn't get to see the topping lift pull the dinghy on and off the boat. I've never seen someone with experience do it before. Everybody makes it look difficult. I'm sure that there's a trick to it but it can be done well.
Does the toilet have a bidet? That’s an absolute must especially on a boat and outside of the US most people prefer a bidet rather than using paper to smear “stuff” lol 😮
One of the best videos of the Neel 47 I've seen so far. I like what the owners did to upgrade this model. Fantastic work, I can see why they're in love with their boat. What I don't like about this model is the single head being below deck. It is the only Neel that doesn't have a head adjacent to the master cabin. The 43, 51 and 65 all have heads beside the master cabin on the main deck. That's not to say this isn't a nice boat. It's a great boat but I'd either save money and choose the 43 or splurge on the 51 for this reason. Another negative for me is the ama guest cabins being completely separate from the main living space. This layout of the Neel 47 has always struck me as rather odd. More privacy but since the hideaway toilets have been removed on this particular yacht, guests need to go outside then into the salon and down the stairs to the single head in the entire yacht. Not good in the best of days, terrible if there's bad weather. I guess it doesn't really matter if one rarely has guests or those cabins are used only for crew.
Please check that your bulkheads are not cracked or other structural joins. You need to look at the video of a 47 at Orams New Zealand they were lucky to not sink
