Rasta Style Scrambled Eggs (Afukuku) VS "Tree Eggs" !

- Опубликовано: 12 сен 2024
- Mokko has fooled many vegans/vegetarians with his "Tree Eggs" (Ackee) before, and today we are doing a side by side comparison! We talk about traditional Maroon names, a magical black wiss vine that you can drink out of, cooking dishes when even a Rasta chef will use salt, our crazy hike from St Thomas to Portland (vid coming soon) and much more. Thanks to Bjorn from Sweden for visiting!
bless up,
Matthew & Mokko

Funny thing, Here in the East Africa specifically Kenya and Tanzania, we call chicken KUKU. Ras Moko knows Swahili language for real! Large up and more blessings.
and in ghana, the akan tribe, they call chicken “akukor”. not surprised because we are one people.
In South Africa we call it "Inkukhu" in the Zulu language
We literally don’t care about what you call chicken we call it chicken
@@JohnWick-vb9pc nobody asked for your opinion, it is worthless. Take a hike halfwit
Bless Up
In West Africa specifically Ghana🇬🇭. A fowl is called Akoko in the Akan language. It’s quite surreal to know that the Maroons who were descendants of the free slaves carried away from West Africa still kept some traces of the dialect
The Maroons?
@@aaronfalzerano9432 Maroons fought their way to freedom and escaped to the interior of Jamaica where they managed to successfully fend off the British redcoats, look up Nanny of the Maroons it’s a very interesting story. Their story deserves a blockbuster movie/tv series.
I took a drink every time I heard afukuku.
May I ask how did it end up for you?
Help... 🙏🇵🇭🇪🇹🥺
Mokko is the scrambled egg King. My scrambled egg game is off the charts since I watched the classic Ras Kitchen scrambled egg 3 part series all those years ago. Love you all at Ras Kitchen 💚💛❤
Scrambled hegg
Very cool! Thanks for watching!
@@RasKitchen I've made Moko scrambled eggs too, they're AMAZING 🥰
Hello Matthew and Rasmokko and family
Mokko like hey man don’t put ya fingers in me food‼️
My intro to this channel was scrambled eggs and we have returned
In Zimbabwe, chicken is called "Huku" in the Shona Language which is a Swahili dialect. Definitely this word which Mokko is using to describe a chicken is from Swahili which historically is the language of the Bantu people. Mokko's African roots coming out there!
So what

Happy new year Mokko & Matthew.
Also to Doret, Ratty, Coppy and the twins!
Happy new year!
Ratty been a Boss he definitely need his own channel as he get older. I would love to see his next phase of life as a young man providing for his wife and family. ✊🏿💞‼️
He's Kool af! Lol. I want to see it happen too.
Help... 🙏🇵🇭🇪🇹🥺
I'd love to see him start his channel on his garden and knowledge of plant life. He's absorbed so much living with Mokko and you can see his passion for farming.
I don't know about yall but that afukuku looks good. My stomach started to growl watching this 😩 💞👍🏽
So good
@@RasKitchen I want to see you participate in cooking, Matthew. You and Ratty. That will be epic! 💞😎👍🏻

Mokko's laugh always makes me "crack" up! Tree Eggs yuh hear me?! I'm crying laughing , to many red stripe for me today 😆
Very interesting how he mashes the ackee to create a vegetarian scrambled eggs. Most natives however don't like their ackees cooked this way, in fact we take great pains in ensuring that it stays intact as much as possible while preparing it! Apparently the tourists prefer it mashed- different strokes for different folks!
Interesting. Yeah, everyone has different preferences.
Big up Rastafi
The difference is texture and tast🤔
Have a Great Day👽👍🚲💥💨💨💨
In Ghana we call chicken “Akuko” Moko knows for real
Afukuku.! Tree scrambled egg
Ahhh. From the rare African coo-coo bird ! I understand. Similar to Snipe eggs.
Nice beard Björn, I rock the same style. ;D
Afukuku 😂 i can’t stop saying it now 😂 new camera Matt the quality looks sharp as foooooook #AFUKUKU
Love you guys
Show doret some more
I agree- she is the real cooking boss!
I couldn't function that stoned . 🤣🤣🤣
Nah , you build up tolerance and with time you learn to live permanently stoned.
@@MrMessiah44 Yes I keep my tolerance levels low by not increasing the amount I use and taking 3 days off every month. I save money, I save the environment and my health. 🤣🤣🤣👍
@@keithwhittygmail I stopped smoking years ago,now it's only special event thing, maybe five times a year.
@@MrMessiah44 It's not a problem for me and kinda legal in London UK. Its
medication for me and only smoke as a relaxing therapy rather than habit. My addiction is the tobacco but wont smoke tobacco on its own. It's all about self control and you were able to give up. I don't want to. 🤪👍
@@keithwhittygmail Funny how it's legal in London and it's not in Oxford.
But in Hawaii tree is pidgin ( broken english) is 3 lol
I definitely perfer the look of the Tree eggs over the Afukuku eggs. Looks Like I'm going to have to visit and do the taste test myself. Muchlove Big and Serious.
I Never knew that name for chicken i can say it i am trying

i fn love this guy!! he's so chill one day i will meet him mark my words!!!

MOKKO is the slowest cook ive ever watched online and in real life. lol
Come on where are you going such a hurry? Lol
He cooks it in a natural charcoal oven. 🌋 🧑🏿🍳 🥚🍳🥞🍞🥘🥗🥙 Old world vibes, ya know ?
And he high as f*ck
😂😂😶🌫️
I like to say the same thing like that guy. When i was young,i use to eat eggs.I am not eating eggs since oct. 2019.One day my friend. You are a king to me.
i do not lie,i am not vegan,i eat cheese. i do not drink milk,no butter,no cream(some times cream, with vegetable soup).
i remember one thing, the middle of the egg is salty.you don t put salt on the boiled eggs.and one more thing, the power of the core( yallow ) is so deep, that you fell it on your nose, like garlic.
Bless up lads ❤️✌️👊👍
I laugh so hard 😂😂😂 Afukuku egg 😂😂😂😂😂

Great Idea with tree egg and scrabble eggs so viewers can see the difference and texture.
15:06 🤣🤣🤣
Always exqusite 😎
Right now in San Diego at least … eggs are $8.99 a dozen of the stores even have them. Cosco doesn’t even have eggs for 2 weeks now . Some kind of virus 🦠 effected the chickens here .
I'm Zulu & In South Africa, we call a chicken Nkuku.
I’ll take some Tree Scrambled Eggs. I haven’t had fresh ones in years. Bless Up

Good job, simple
In South Africa we call chickens Inkukhu in the isiZulu language 😂
Does the skellion mean scallion? Mokko seems to always mention skellion and thyme and I never put a thought to it what skellion really is. Is it some sort of spice I don't know about or is this just regular scallion with Jamaican accent.
yes
Scallion and thyme are married toghether :) At least in Jamaica :)
Spring onions
Yo Mokko! We call it 'KUKU' in Swahili, Kenya Massive. Wagwan
Moko, stopped in mid-sentence and said," No informer! " He called him a snitch🤣🤣🤣🤣

In isiZulu, South Africa. Chicken is called "inkukhu". Cool bless up
Afukuku sounds like efie akukor in the Akan language of Ghana 🇬🇭. Efiee means home and akukor means fowl. The maroons originated from kromantine in Ghana 🇬🇭.

Bjorn's beard is freaky style!
Did someone say Afukuku?
Great job Ratty! My kid would have started whining after 1/2 mile and then tell everyone how I tortured and abused her for taking her on a hike.

Hello everybody
I'll take the tree scrambled eggs for $1000! 🤣🤣 They looked way better than the Afukuku eggs!
Good food
You should do the opposite and bring mokko home to Canada and cook for him
That would be entertaining, no doubt.
@@RasKitchen Mokko would probably love Canada! Culture shock for sure!

The twi language in Ghana calls chicken "akokor".
