Thank you so much Cory love your podcast been keeping fish over 70 years and have work in the trade on and off still have fish room now still breed a few every year
Hey Cory, I started fish keeping back in August to help with my stress it’s been very beneficial for me. I’ve learned so much from your channel and website ( and bought some great products too) I really appreciate how much information you make available thank you!
Thanks so much for making these streams, i'm trying to minimize my room so I can do more fish stuff and this is really relaxing and not very distracting.
I always laugh when he pretends to be a hypothetical customer with a really specific, off the wall situation. "Well my grandma lives in Antarctica and..."
I ended up watching all the way through to the ending again just to figure out some conversation threads that began before I caught the Live. I caught a pair of channel name referrals to check out. Thanks, Cory and folks from the chat.
Compliment somebody! Yes! That's a good thing to end on. Don't feel bad about missing Aquashella this year. We have to miss it too. They're not coming to Chicago and we have a kid in school, so we can't go to Dallas or Daytona.
Hope all is well in your family. The tape trick is awesome. I've always loved all the hacks and tricks you come up with for little to no money for the average hobbyist. Some of the things customers complain about make me laugh so hard. Giving compliments and being kind is one of the best things any of us can try to do on a daily basis. It's easy, free, and can really make a difference in somebody's life who's having a bad day. 👍❤️👍
I'm certain everyone is happy to have you as an employer. You're a good man Corey! My Lady used to be a medical IT consultant and never did taxes. Now she has her own company and we're trying to buy a homestead. So she's now paying a company $3500/mo to get those taxes cleared up.
Also, due to your breeding fish for profit series, I'm up to about $1000 monthly on average... I'm still running my lawn service business but am looking to sell that in tune next couple years and go full-time urban fish farming... I have already got the tax number/LLC in place, but it's actually for an aquarium service business... I'm currently selling to 2.5 local stores plus some to friends of friends and friends of family... All thanks to that Aquarium Co-op video series...! Thanks and keep it up...!
I agree that folks tend to buy too many things without needing them. I bought the easy green first, but when I noticed that my red and purple plants were fading in color I bought some of your easy iron and it quickly made a big difference for those plants. 😊
My first full live stream I've watched in a little while. Gotta tell ya Cory, I totally missed my brownies 😜 thanks for always being there man. Means a lot when I feel I need to surround myself with fish nerms
In the UK in city rivers you'll find bricks and the odd shopping trolley and garbage but it's not actually that bad as most local authorities are good at tidying up. Go a couple of miles out of the city and it'll be very picturesque and pure.
From this Livestream you have convinced me I should start using my auto feeders. I've still got an OG co-op feeder brand new in the box. Thing is probably a collectors item.
Not to worry, email customer service and get them to send you one of our new ones as a replacement. Screenshot this message and that'll make sure it's an easy process as I don't think we've ever done that before.
I understand totally about the temp rising when it comes to speaking to others "in public". I love my job, am very good at it and very knowledgeable. I help manage a pet store. I still get hot and sweaty when I am talking to people. Havent found any solution. I can't keep the store chilly all the time and I move around the store a lot so using a fan really isn't effective.
Another interesting stream. I've been using under gravel filters for years. I really like them. You don't have to do any maintenance and it won't suck up little fish. I also hate that running water sound from hang on backs.
I miss solid gold I watched her channel every day 😢 then when everything happened she just disappeared one of the best channels that I still miss till this day
For me, fish growth, specifically fry and juvenile fish is simple IF you use Aquarium Co-Op Brine Shrimp eggs daily. Such an astounding product. That and high quality water/water changes,
(permanent fix) but I often just slot the edge of the little door: when it's fully closed you can actually have it dispense like "1/3" of a door width. I use a square file to make a tiny (1/8"?) slot, then widen it to adjust. you never use the all the way closed door setting anyway (you wouldnt be feeding any fish at this level). Love the scotch tape trick!
I'm in Sarasota Florida and have zero heaters in any of my 50+ tanks... This winter my garage tanks got down to 65-ish degrees Fahrenheit, my outside tubs were in the 50's, but they have only Florida natives...i.e.: gambusia, heterandria Formosa, sailfin mollies, etc... I lost zero fish due to temperature...! Here in Florida, we need chillers for 9 months of the year and heaters are a waste of money...! I don't keep goldfish or any other cold water fish because my Temps for 9-10 months a year is above 78 degrees, if it's got a lid with a light on top, those are 81 or higher, again with zero heaters...!
I live in the same area as you, I do the same as you, but I do keep fancy goldfish outdoors because they prefer higher temps. So far so good, and it’s been a few years now.
@@mr.kalopsia3273 maybe outside, in-ground would work, but I've never had success with em indoors, they fall apart quickly... It may be that I just don't care or like em enough to try again... If I had a choice between two fish, goldfish & something else, to keep, I would not pick the goldfish...! Thanks for the input...
Great show thanks, however all I ever see on these channels is about heating, I don't own a heater for any of my 4 tanks. I have a problem living in the tropics keeping tanks cool enough, they like to go to 30C or 86F and let me tell you when I read what temps tropical fish like, they aren't very tropical. Aircon runs me over $400 a month in power so what other ways can I cool the tanks? Thanks.
Everyone who agrees like this comment to let Cory know he can take a break from RUclips so he can have more free time to conduct business! To Cory specifically: I hear you! It’s ok to take a break. Nobody is going to hold a grudge. We all need a break from time to time.
This will sound really picky, but Cory- your Hoka Bondi's are pronounced "bon-dye". It's a famous beach in Australia. Make's me chuckle every time you say "bondy"
I feed my fishes with automatic feeder in my fish farm, but you can't trust. I feed 2 Times by day by hand to securise. The automatic feeder need to bé control veru often
Not a serious question. I have a 10 ft and 12 ft swimming pools in my basement with rainbow trout. they die if the water temp gets up to 70F and I was told that I can feed them till the fish food does not sink through the ice on top of the water. How many watts of heaters should I get? 10W per gallon?
Black diamond blasting sand is the worst and should be avoided, especially for corydoras...! It's way too sharp for their barbules... Would you stick your nose into a bunch of broken glass and route around...? If ya look at black diamond blasting sand under magnification, I saw it under a fairly big magnifying glass and also a microscope and it's looks just like broken glass... stop torturing your corydoras with black diamond blasting sand...! I wish we had lapis Lustre here in Florida, can't find it anywhere...! It seem to be a west coast thing...?!? Thanks Cory and gang for your awesomeness...! Keep it up and go enjoy some nature today...!
I've kept and bred Cories on and off since the 90s and have used that sand in a few tanks in the past. Never saw any barbel damage/erosion. I'd be surprised if a Cory could put apply enough pressure on the sand to be a concern. Cory (Co-op Cory, not the fish lol) has kept and bred Cories on crushed coral w/out issue. I know lots of people raise this concern re: sharp sand and gravel. Curious whether others have ever seen the damage and could reasonably make a causal connection to the substrate's sharpness?
@@andrewinniss5463 on black diamond and in bare bottom tanks are the only times I've seen damaged or worn down barbules... That's just what I've seen and experienced here in Sarasota Florida... I have also kept at least one species of corydoras continuously since the nineties personally and cannot remember a time when my mom didn't a tank full of them... Again, I was stating my experience... And have you looked it that stuff magnified...? I know I wouldn't wanna stick my nose in it...! Thanks
I see it more of taking inspiration from someone rather then it being just copying others I’m using them to inspire my own self !
Congratulations Cory this is the longest RUclips video I have ever watched start to finish.
Thank you so much Cory love your podcast been keeping fish over 70 years and have work in the trade on and off still have fish room now still breed a few every year

Potential and real customer complaints never gets old. Always get good laughs about those 'logical' thoughts. Especially in the funny Cory voices!

Awesome to hear! I know you get up super early to mow and my latest live stream isn't optimal, but I'm glad you still listen in ;)

These live streams provide such good times for my commute to work
Sorry I missed you live but hopefully I catch you next week. Life gets busy. Love your vids
I agree that any content by Chris Lukhup is going to be beautifully photographed.

1:48:07 Lukes goldies is pretty good on the fishroom thing, he goes over shelving, dehumidifiers, central air pump systems.
From this Livestream you have convinced me I should start using my auto feeders. I've still got an OG co-op feeder brand new in the box. Thing is probably a collectors item.
Dang should have tried it sooner. Turns out to be a 5%er and doesn't work.

If you are into freshwater shrimp go watch my fellow countryman, Marks shrimp tanks, mans a legend.

Yeah, we thought about cutting them, but not everyone will have the skill to do it, and pretty much everyone can do the tape.
I am new here good information

Lucky lol I'm in upstate NY and my house gets cold lol
Great job with the livestream.
if you have a fry only growout tank it might be worth getting rid of any other plants and culturing green water.

No tape on the auto feeder. It’s a design flaw that has been there since forever for most auto feeders and needs to be changed.
I miss being in the livestreams ☹
Nice shirt Cory where did you get it?
