Best wishes to the business partner and their recovery. You shaving the head in solidarity is a real good human thing. That's why we get ya, man. You're a real one.
How bad is it, when I fire up you tube aquarium co-op is always the first on my feed!!!! Thank you corey/crew for all of the excellent content and knowledge
Cory, I have watched for years and at times I disagreed and other times you left my jaw on the floor but, I do GREATLY appreciate the work you do. This hobby is so hard to be detailed with, simply because each and every tank is slightly different from the next... perams, feeding schedule, fish size/count, amount of accidents personally ("I always overflow this dang thing"), etc... P.s. I relate to the complaining thing lol
Rewatch gang! And after using a tidal 35 for a few years I’m switching to aqua clear, I’m sick of it clogging up because the intake is a surface skimmer and my floating plants keep getting stuck. It also doesn’t work well when the water line is too low and my aqua clears never have these problems. The only maintenance I do on the aqua clears is squeezing out the prefilter sponge every couple of weeks
I went into one of your partner store last week at the Coachella Valley Aquatics. I picked up one of your medium sponge filters and he gave me a free air stone and put the two together for me. He was so nice and informative, I will be deffantly be going back. Question, he said that I could add another filter on top, is that true?
Love your content Cory, I recently ordered two sponge filters and the nano air pumps from your store and i absolutely love them and my guppies do too. I’m gonna become a member when I get some extra change lol but thanks for everything you do for the hobby.
Really glad I got those air pumps with backup batteries last week before my big trip and before you stopped shipping them. I knew shipping would be slow and purchased goods accordingly since I'm a certified dangerous goods shipper at work and know the general rules. Wanted to be sure I had backup for short term power outages just in case because heatwave is brutal at the moment.
Yup I love using pool salt for brine shrimp hatching, typically pure with no additives and its very fine so it disolves quickly. Cheap for a large bag but thats my preference.
Bro, when Cory said " the new rage system where I never change water and I never feed the fish, and I never do anything and I never look at the fish" I almost died laughing 😂. I was driving home from work and almost peed my pants. "39:40" I think that's the time stamp. Pictured someone right away when he said it too😂 too funny. Thank you
How much marine salt can plants tolerate ? Alsh when would you dose your planted tank with it? I do have hard water and fritz salt on hand you say it kills plants but can be good for them too? I am treating a betta for fin rot i did 3salt baths with the fritz salt no change so i went to fin and body cure.
Personally the golden white clouds won’t breed for me I’ve had them for like two years and have attempted to breed them several times I think my males are just infertile had easy luck breading my cherry barbs tho just put out a tutorial on my channel for others who want to breed them you Inspired me
On the topic of the battery powered air pumps. I actually just looked to buy one but had to get it from Amazon and got it in two days. Is it because theirs come in on skids then delivered by their drivers?
Yes, generally speaking the way Amazon manages their delivery times is by having massive warehouses all over the country and shipping products from the closest location, usually via their own delivery vehicles. Lithium Ion battery-powered items are very rarely shipped via USPS from Amazon due to the restrictions placed on them.
Hey dude! Like your advice. I have a bit aggressive betta in a 5 gallon luxury tank. Meaning, I love my fish and take great great care of them. Back to question. He's looks lonely compared to my other one that have tank mates, neon tetra. But the dude is very aggressive, he's Koi Fantail. Is there a trying of tank mates that he may like to have in his space?
I have been trying to get this question answered and I cant. The instructions and the description of easy green on the website say that the recommended dose adds about 3ppm of nitrate. Yet Cory says to have 20-40ppm of nitrate for good plant growth. So am I supposed to do a large dose of easy green initially in order to increase to 20-40ppm? I cant find a customer service email, just an email for shipping orders. I've left numerous comments and tried to ask during the live stream. I've also tried to ask an employee on the forum but I haven't got a reply in over a week. I feel like I'm being annoying at this point leaving so many comments everywhere.
Hey I am not sure what you are @ when you test your water but a typical balanced freshwater community can be easily under the " desired " numbers that you are or aren't able to get. How you maintain , how your adding food & how often , water changes then how much / how often ??? Just a few things that you do or don't need to do ( depending on how your fish are doing , how the plants ...IME realistically speaking the testing is the truth for the majority of your questions , heavy loads of fish Nitrates are the only thing I will always test to make a realistic schedule for doing water change and the concept for doing large water changes for me is because I don't have high Nitrates but I like to overdose the fertilizer and I always have a Seachem Nitrogen if it is looking a little yellow or something like slowere growth is not necessarily the cause but I am not an expert or even capable of giving exactly the right system to do it for anyone else aside from my own personal experience with my hardwater aquariums , but I know enough that it is almost just as good to have as many healthy plants as possible and the more specialized creatures are IMO the best way to get that looking good thanks to Amano shrimp, Ottocinclus , Bushynose Pleco , Siamese algae eater ( SAE ) Cory's , schools of healthy grazing fish like green Neons for a tank having the best flow throughout has been fairly easy to make happen and it has been a HUGE difference in the overall health and I can't tell you how much it has to do with putting the cruise control and just keep it simple and as always buy Aquarium CO-OP lights and plants , ferts and other.........💙💚
I do have a test kit and test regularly. Ammonia and nitrite is always 0. My nitrates were 0 before I added easy green fertilizer. And before I had plants they were consistently at 5ppm with weakly 25% water changes. I have a single betta in a 5 gallon. After adding a bunch of plants my nitrates were always at 0, so I got easy green and it helped a lot with plant growth. But after doing a bit of research it seems like people including Aquarium Co-op suggest having at least 20ppm of nitrate for healthy plant growth but the recommended dose of easy green only adds 3ppm. I still don't understand what I'm missing. If they recommend having 20ppm nitrate why does the directions for easy green only add 3ppm. Is it just for safety reasons? Like they don't want someone to do a huge dose and kill all their fish and blame easy green? From what you said I'm thinking it shouldn't be a problem for me to do a larger dose but I'm still confused. However I'm satisfied with the growth of my plants so should I just keep doing what I'm doing. I dose the recommended amount about once every 5 days. Thanks for all the info and trying to help me out. 🙂 @@stoneysscapes7544
You don’t want to run out of nitrates. So if you dose 1 pump per 10 gallons and have 3ppm of nitrate, first that’s hard to measure second, what if your tank eats 5ppm of nitrates a day? If you have a buffer of 40ppm, you will likely not run out between dosing.
Aqua clear's are good...? In my opinion, they're the worst...!!! I prefer Top-fin, but for buletproof-ness, I go-to the Walmart HOB's... They just don't die, even if they're full of roots from a dozen different plant species... I only use a few HOB's, the rest of my 70+ tanks have Aquarium Co-op sponge filters... They are the best sponge filters...! Thanks, keep up your awesomeness and go enjoy some nature today...! Don't forget to compliment someone today...
Hey Cory, I have a question I bet hasn't gotten asked yet😅 Where did you get your Easy Green Sold Here neon signs made or bought because I want to make some but idk where to get/make them?
Hi Cory. I recently got a used salt water tank for free. I do not think I am ready and do not have the time to learn salt water. How would change it to fresh water. Thank you
Power wash the whole tank and give the coral and fish to a store I recommend the Fish Store in Washington state (if ur local) and then start fresh with all freshwater. Hope thst helps 😊

Yup, the sponge filters can be stacked on top of each other. If you go to the product page, there's a picture in the gallery of how it looks. 👍
That is true, you can stack them.

Had that experience with my ordered air pump last week, and luckily my three plants survived...barely!

Maybe Malaysian trumpet snails? I've heard they are good at hiding in the substrate and coming out when it's dark and safe.
Dang I’m on my two year right now

Volume is lower then usual. I have to where my ear muffs over my headphone to hear at work
Hmm, I’ll look into this, should have been normal volume as I haven’t changed anything.

Hey Cory, I have a question I bet hasn't gotten asked yet😅
Where did you get your Easy Green Sold Here neon signs made or bought because I want to make some but idk where to get/make them?
Amazon. We work with a vendor we found there.
Is it a common battery where it can be shipped without and the end consumer can install their own?
No, they are rechargeable lithium batteries.
You mentioned in one of your live streams I think it was, but whats is the best food to feed snails that is high in calcium.
You can feed them frozen spinach they will be all over it and you can get it cheaply you can also feed fresh if you want.
I believe he mentioned Zoo Med Nano Banquet Blocks are his favorite calcium-rich food for snails
@@GirlTalksFish YES! I think that was it! Thank you so much.I need to get some of those right away.
