@@jimchin2619 I'm not exactly sure what a blow forward design is. but I guess it's not The pepperball tac sf is constructed like a tippmann 98 and is based on the paintball weapons BT-4 Combat and Valken Blakhawk.
@@hans-petermeier7440 thanks. From your description, it's a blow back. Tiberius T8.1/9.1, Pepperball VKS, TCP, FSC pistol, those have blow forward design. Milsig m17a2 also has blow forward bolt design. Blow forward design tends to be more powerful, and better used for shooting heavier projectiles, say 6 grams and up.
It says its 10 to 15 jules in my opinion not that anyone asked for it is that you could do better for the 900 price tag for half the price go with the TCP ur you can buy 2 of them and still go out to dinner I hope someone does a review of these I would like to see it in action thanks
The Pepperball TAC-SF is actually only intended to shoot Pepperballs. They should only be fired at an energy of about 10-20 joules. More energy would cause the bullets in the weapon to burst. If you want more energy to fire rubber bullets, there are more useful weapons, such as the TCP, the Tippmann TCR, etc.
@@jamesviele5613 For the same money you would get a Pepperball VKS, that brings more power. I have an old Tiberius T4. This is almost identical and creates about 24 joules with 2.8g rubber balls. A lot more should be possible with the Grimburg bullets. But: All paintball guns with the blow-forward system (FSC, TIPX, T8.2 ...) are much less reliable. And that's why, in my opinion, guns with blow-back are also justified.

Out of all the less than lethal paintball guns. Which gun do you think is the best for home defense? And if there is a "best bang for your buck" option which one do you think it is?
It really comes down to what you want and need and willing to pay. Also do want pistol launcher or rifle launcher? Do you want to shoot hard projectiles or only pepper rounds? Do you wanna accessorize and modify.
@@dudelesslethal6910 accessorize and modify and a rifle platform would be on my list. I like this new Pepperball rifle but I assume it doesn't take the grimberg cone shaped rounds because of the hopper. And its only listed as 20 joules where I think you showed that the Mission TCR? (pistol with stock and orange details) can hit with 30 joules with barrel replacement and others mods. Since I don't have experience with less than lethal paintball, is the lack of the ability to take the grimberg rounds and joules compensated by the full auto and way larger ammo capacity of the rifle above and the VKS? Plus even if the one above and the VKS is better than the mission TCR, are its improvements justified by being twice as expensive? Like if its twice as better as the Mission TCR, I don't mind paying double. But if its like only 10 percent better, then I would have to think about it.
@@dudelesslethal6910 Are you able to stock the larger jars of the live X balls or Green Marking rounds? Tried to buy a large jar of inert but was out of stock.
There is a big difference in the internal structure. The VKS is based on the Tiberius T4.1 paintball rifle. The TAC SF is based on the technology of the Tippmann 98 and is almost identical to the BT-4 Combat and Valken Blakhawk. The technology of both Pepperball launchers differs significantly. The VKS offers more fps out of the box. The TAC SF system, however, is considered to be much more reliable and allows many modifications.
TAC-SF is hopper fed but its say comes with 2 magazines I’m not entirely sure and VKS is magfed and hopper fed (optional). Also VKS come set at 300FPS but capable of 425+FPS. check out my vks video in my PepperBall playlist. I don’t know if the price will change. Also form factor is totally different.
@@mrmike1296 Yes, thats possible. But the question is whether it's even worth it with the weapon. It's a perfect weapon for pepperballs. But it costs a lot of money to configure. If you want more power, it would be better to buy a civilian BT4 Combat or Slice and tune it. The usual tuning for this is: Seal the barrel with Teflon tape, seal the holes in the barrel, install a stronger spring, and use an inlet pressure greater than 800 psi.
