Yes, I had headaches as well after getting my Rook pierced. I had mine done 3 wks ago and it hurt me like hell. I do understand that everyone is different when it comes to tolerating pain.
I had that with my tragus!!
I’ve watched countless RUclips videos on piercings and yours has by far been the most useful/interesting! Thankyou for being so detailed and open :) x
No piercing should be done with a gun. Guns cannot be sterilized and you run the risk of infection. Also, the gun forces a blunt earring through the ear, whereas a needle carves out a hole in which the jewelry is inserted. Best to go to a professional. Claires employees receive relatively little training as compared to piercing professionals.
The 6 points list is so good. Keep up the good work!
got my conch pierced a year ago and my rook done several hours ago.. I got headaches for both.. i think you're really tolerant to pain. My conch pain level was a 4 /10 and my rook was 6/10 (it hurt when inserting the jewellery and removing the needle). my piercings have always taken longer to heal than normal cos im super prone to infection (i clean my piercings twice a day but still..) You're so luckyyyy im so envious.
U healing time can be longer depending on the material of ur earring. The best earring metal for easy healing would be non metals and titanium. Totally recommend using titanium.
Thats interesting; I also had headaches and neck pain for a few days after I got my Rook pierced.
Same
It's not just healthier to get cartilage piercings done with a needle, it's safer. Guns can possibly cause you to shatter your cartilage, as they require a lot of force to get them through the cartilage.
I just got my conch about 2 weeks ago and my tragus 2 days ago. Conch was 1/10 and tragus was 2/10 in the pain scale. My conch though hurt for 4 days if I touched it but the tragus doesn’t even hurt even if I touched it. It’s so weird. I’m trying to go for the curated look and want to go back to get a helix.
PilotCrissy plz do tell me how your helix piercing goes I also have a tragus piercing on my left ear and 3 ear lobes on each ear and I want to get a helix but I’m too nervous to get one

I got 2 more piercings since. The mid helix hurt most 3/10. I also got my rook which was like a 2/10. It’s so weird cuz my rook is so thick. Basically my ears are big and thicker compared to most people. All my piercings didn’t hurt but if I had to rate all of them on how they felt then that would be their rating. Idk if you remember the pain but it only hurts when the needle goes through which is like 2 seconds. Totally worth it even if it hurts a lot cuz it happens so fast.
Yeah i had neck pain for 2 weeks after my rook piercing and inner ear pain
With all due respect
I have rook conch daith industrial and more
And i can say for sure
Rook is more than 1 on pain scale
when you said “healed”,what does that mean? Means you could change it without any pain or you could stop wearing any jewery?
It wasn't healed. No piercing would ever heal in 2 weeks. 6-8 weeks for lobes is the shortest. She switched it too early and got lucky.
The pain level for the rook is a 7...it hurt terribly
Same here. I have 11 piercing and the rook was my worst when it comes to pain but healing great.
Nice nails!
Girl there’s no bone on your ear until you go into the actual ear canal. Like bruh
Lots of incorrect info in this video... Shouldn't get any piercings with a gun. No piercing would ever heal in only 2 weeks. By bone she means cartilage I'm sure. Low key advocating for switching cartilage piercings to a ring too early. Like piercers don't just recommend starting out with a stud, I would go as far as to say any piercer that pierces with a ring or tells you it's okay to switch it to a ring before it's fully healed, isn't a great piercer. Many cartilage piercings need at least a year to heal even with a stud.. switching a rook to a ring after 2 WEEKS??? Terrible piercer, especially if they offer gun piercings.. she should find a new piercer
@@droid2D2C3P0 I agree with everything you just said
I love ur piercing. Sooooooooo cute, why you didn't Pierce your nose, industrial ear, septum.??
Titanium is always the best.
You are so beautiful :)
