- I was sent this request to review this Beef Madras from Asda, by one of my subscribers.
So if I went to Asda and I actually found this curry quite easily, they did other ones as well, but as I was asked to try the beef madras that’s the one I got.

Thanks so much for subscribing mate. Yeah I have been ill. I’ve had pneumonia. My lungs are damaged from Covid as I had it really bad. I was in a coma for six weeks so I’m quite prone to catching things now. However, much better now I’m back doing what I enjoy. Thanks again bud.👍

Curry leaves are supposed to be removed before you eat
Thought it was the McMaster channel for a second, even though I'd unsubscribed to that annoying oaf months ago. I got tired of him banging on about his EV and his continuous reviews of fish and chips. How his channel is still so popular is beyond me. I guess you either love him or hate him. Also, who has the time to watch 1 - to 2-hour videos?!

PS, please do a review of the Lymewood farm pub near Haydock? Their evening carvery used to be the best. Also, great desserts. I'm curious to find out if it is still as good.

I had this curry last night with boiled rice and home made crinkly chips ( like mums did in the 80's)
I did the curry in the oven for 30 mins. It was 10 out of 10! I'll be getting this again. Thanks for the review

The curry leaves are meant to add flavour. I think they are meant to be taken out prior to eating. Don't think you should have taken any marks off really. Looked like a very good curry. xxx 😀

I wouldn't buy any meat from Asda. They use chicken from Thailand in their ready meals, why not british!

You don’t eat curry leaves, they’re in the curry to add flavour/aromatics to the dish.

£5 isn’t dear for a decent curry people for get that thing get dearer the older we get, but so does there hourly wage £17 a hour so £5 for a good curry is good in my eyes 👀 David 👍

Whilst I can see you enjoyed this meal, sorry but slow cooked beef brisket holds no place in a curry for me. It’s a waste. I’d rather have bite sized juicy chunks of beef and for half the price. £5 is ok as you’re paying for the cut of beef but I’d stick with the usual and pay less. Glad you enjoyed it tho Greg.

I probably did but was in my mid 30s then so would have had plenty of curry’s before then.🤔👍
I guess it is more of an upmarket offering from Asda not from the basic range but at £5-00 we are talking M&S and Waitrose prices. Tesco have a vast range of microwave meals and with a club card you can pick 3 for £7-50 so it works out at £2-50 each. Aldi also sell them for £2-50 each.
However it really makes no difference to me as i only shop in Fortnum and Mason and Harrods and either get the products delivered or a member of staff loads the products into my Bentley for me. If you believe that you must still believe in the tooth fairy!!

I’d have to agree it’s the upper market of curries, I’ve done M&S and this was definitely better, £5 for a great curry isn’t much today.
Loved the story about your Bentley and harrods. I’m just wondering if it’s Santa 🎅 that delivers them. 🤣🤣🤣

@@Stockybloke Santa only works once a year so a delivery once a year would not be good for me. Then again being retired i work even less. I must say that being retired is the best job i have ever had. It gives me lots of time to visit restaurants and take outs and all the Classic Car shows in Blackpool, Burnley, Didsbury and Lytham, plus of course time to view your excellent reviews.
