  • Why on earth would a social mobility business set up a massive game of football in North London?
We’ll be the first to admit - it seems rogue on the surface. But here at Zero Gravity, we know that loads of people find their jobs through networks. Unfortunately people from state schools - especially those from low-opportunity backgrounds - just don’t have that network to rely on.
We’re doing our best to change that. So, in July, we hosted a big old kickabout at Coles Park Stadium with our friends over at the The Graduate Guide. We didn’t want networking to feel stiff and awkward, especially for people who are new to it. We wanted to make it accessible for people from multiple different backgrounds.
Of course, we’re used to doing it digitally - with our huge online community, career mentoring, and masterclasses, all of which give our members the chance to meet with professionals. But being able to do it in person, in a chill, fun, sporty way?
It was so much better than we’d hoped.
Watch the video below to find out what it looked like - and let us know if we should do it again next year.
And an enormous shoutout to Hybr and Liquid Death for sponsoring the event - legends.
We don’t just host huge footie matches - we offer career mentoring, masterclasses, a huge digital student community, internships, apprenticeships, work experience, and graduate job opportunities. Don’t hesitate - expand your network - join Zero Gravity today.
