I have been to over 20 countries in my life, and seoul is the most safest city ever. I left my bag and notebook at the starbucks in seoul, and came back 30 minutes later and it is there with no one touching it. If it was some other country, it probably got lost. You can walk around after midnight very safely.

I studied in Seoul a year ago and it was the best semester of my life. Everyone was so kind, the food was delicious, the city was clean and safe and there is so much to do, visit, discover. Cute cafes, awesome bars and nightclubs. Watching this video made me feel so nostalgic hahaha. It's my goal to come back to this fantastic country!

I've been to Seoul, going in with high expectations and everything was better than I expected. Ups and downs with everything but I could go to Seoul and South Korea in general 20 more times and be completely happy that I never traveled anywhere else. Wish I could live there. im korean and its interesting cause its so normal for koreans yeah nothing happend at 2am so you can walk at 2,3,4 am sometime feels a little scared but its ok. Its not 100% safe you know cause the crime happend at the night also in korea so you need to be careful of course
SOUTH KOREA is an extrardinary and excellent country in the entire world I have ever known there are the most facilities in cities in South Korea for students and visitors from other countries..
They are not into foreign people either. Descrimination with gender, sexual orientation, race, skin color etc are common among them. I love their dramas but not their entire culture.
Korea is one of the most safe place in the world. I highly recommend to visit Korea for your next trip. there is a lot of fun, and beautiful place everywhere. You can go anywhere within a couple of hours.

In this world we live in is by all means NOT PERFECT, obviously! For example, God's first human creation Adam and Eve's sin was forbidden ultimately lead to forever sinners. We all need to take extra precaution when traveling abroad and same applies to even Korea where it is considered, "one of the safest place in the world".

Seoul (or other cities--safe) in Korea is the best great safe modern city on earth!!! If you never have visited in Korea, I recommend you should have a plan to visit S. Korea. If you enjoy a night life, you should go to Kang Nam, Hong Dae (Hong Ik University area), Meung Dong, Itaeon Dong, and many other places. You will like the places. :)
@jonathan kayina first, you have to go through the Govt Immigration agency of both sides of countries to get a permission to stay long time or permanent. Second, you will have to find a job and place to stay there just like everywhere. ..

I`m a American residing in Japan for the past 25 years and my favorite place to visit is Korea. My wife loves Korea as much as I do and in average, we travel to Korea 4 times a year. I can relate to a lot of the places featured in your video. The last time I was in Korea was in Sept. 2018 but after seeing your video, it made me want to visit Korea, again.....checking for tickets now.

No place is 100% safe, including Korea, but from my past experience, yes, I think you should be okay with your "bags/backpacks" on your back. I have done it but I usually don't carry valuable items in my backpack. I keep my wallet and smartphone in my pockets.

I remember when I visited Seoul, I was in gangnam-gu district walking down a street, and there was water falling out above of a building onto the walkway. Of course I could’ve easily walked around but there was an old Korean man standing there with his umbrella and he ushered me across the walkway lol. You never forget the small acts of kindness

Vietnam is beautiful. Think about spending your money more wisely. If you just want garbage food and annoying K pop music for stupid teenage girls then go to Korea. But if your looking for a real cultural experience try Southeast Asia. More temples, more food, more traditional culture.
Seoul really is a world class city! They've done so much to improve the city. When I arrived in Korea, 20 years ago, I wasn't really impressed. But there have been so many positive changes in terms of cleanliness, facilities for people to enjoy and overall modernization. I always have a good time in Seoul!

Oh how can you miss Han river? I spent one Tuesday afternoon in YeoUido Han river park. Just sitting on a bench watching river flowing by.... It was the most memorable part of SK trip for me.
Save your money and go to Hanoi or Kyoto. the food is great and those cities have a deep history and culture. Seoul is not really special. you can get mcdonalds and skyscrapers anywhere in the world.

I was born in Seoul, although I am American of European decent. I served in Korea when I was a young man in the American Army, 2 Infantry Division, 1986, on the DMZ, north of Imjin River, I loved the Korean people, great people, can't believe how much it has changed from even the 80s. I will visit again some day soon I hope.

I was there two years ago for my daughter's traditional Korean wedding. I learned a lot about their history, culture, food ❤️, and a few words. Visited many places...very busy place, twice as much as NYC.. but cleaner and friendlier. I brought back to the USA, a love for their food, especially kimchi. In fact, I'm making some this week and a few others Korean dishes. You'll never know what you'll like ...until you try it. That's on any adventure.

Lets face it, America ignited early Japanese imperialism and approved it during the early stages which crushed any Korean dream of pan Asianism to fight against western imperialism. America even invaded Korea themselves and killed/looted their way through the "bully Asia" campaign which ultimately led Japan to radicalize. The U.S. keeps funding terrorism against themselves for some odd reason, they even almost accidentally funded a second Hitler in South Korea named "Park Chung Hee" when relations between the R.O.K and U.S. were at a all time low. Then after WWII, they failed to root out pro Japanese fascists in Korea and Japanese war criminals in Japan because they were anti communist and useful puppets in the cold war. The USSR and the U.S. divided Korea up like some spoils of war and started a war that killed millions of Koreans over some foreign ideologies. Then the U.S. wants us to be grateful because they "saved us" when in reality, they just wanted to expand their influence in Asia because I'm sure America is a very charitable nation. America did it out of their national interest like any other nation would so asking us to be thankful at this point is some sort of beginning to an abusive relationship. Korea had incompetant leaders but most of our troubles came from our geographical position, allowing us to be exploited to such degree. Also while I'm at it, most people have this strange misconception that South Korea's economic success was thanks to American aid and money which couldn't be further from the truth. So many poor third world countries rely on America aid yet they are still spinning their webs in poverty. Either way, may not sound like it but I'm pro U.S. I hope America can relax and we can create and shape a new future together but do not believe every Korean thinks that the U.S. is their "god given saviour".
I was there last year. What an amazing place to visit. Tradition and innovation coexist peacefully pretty much everywhere. I liked how clean it is and how everything is convenient.

I have to say, l first loved SKorea unconditionally till l could not close my eyes anymore to all the terrible things going on, how exploited is the normal population, how unforgiving and harsh every one is treated, when not functioning as expected...In ten years l experienced many things, but mostly kindness, help, and respect, because as a super white European person my skin, eyes, looks, my independence travelling on my own were admired by all Koreans l encountered all over the peninsula. I have been to over 20 countries in my life, and seoul is the most safest city ever. I left my bag and notebook at the starbucks in seoul, and came back 30 minutes later and it is there with no one touching it. If it was some other country, it probably got lost.

I studied in Seoul a year ago and it was the best semester of my life. Everyone was so kind, the food was delicious, the city was clean and safe and there is so much to do, visit, discover. Cute cafes, awesome bars and nightclubs. Watching this video made me feel so nostalgic hahaha. It's my goal to come back to this fantastic country!

If you enjoy a night life, you should go to Kang Nam, Hong Dae (Hong Ik University area), Meung Dong, Itaeon Dong, and many other places. You will like the places. :)

I`m a American residing in Japan for the past 25 years and my favorite place to visit is Korea. My wife loves Korea as much as I do and in average, we travel to Korea 4 times a year. I can relate to a lot of the places featured in your video. The last time I was in Korea was in Sept. 2018 but after seeing your video, it made me want to visit Korea, again.....checking for tickets now.

No place is 100% safe, including Korea, but from my past experience, yes, I think you should be okay with your "bags/backpacks" on your back. I have done it but I usually don't carry valuable items in my backpack. I keep my wallet and smartphone in my pockets.

I remember when I visited Seoul, I was in gangnam-gu district walking down a street, and there was water falling out above of a building onto the walkway. Of course I could’ve easily walked around but there was an old Korean man standing there with his umbrella and he ushered me across the walkway lol. You never forget the small acts of kindness

Seoul really is a world class city! They've done so much to improve the city. When I arrived in Korea, 20 years ago, I wasn't really impressed. But there have been so many positive changes in terms of cleanliness, facilities for people to enjoy and overall modernization. I always have a good time in Seoul!

I served in Korea when I was a young man in the American Army, 2 Infantry Division, 1986, on the DMZ, north of Imjin River, I loved the Korean people, great people, can't believe how much it has changed from even the 80s. I was there two years ago for my daughter's traditional Korean wedding.
I learned a lot about their history, culture, food ❤️, and a few words.
Visited many places...very busy place, twice as much as NYC.. but cleaner and friendlier.
I brought back to the USA, a love for their food, especially kimchi. In fact, I'm making some this week and a few others Korean dishes.
You'll never know what you'll like ...until you try it. That's on any adventure.

Lets face it, America ignited early Japanese imperialism and approved it during the early stages which crushed any Korean dream of pan Asianism to fight against western imperialism. America even invaded Korea themselves and killed/looted their way through the "bully Asia" campaign which ultimately led Japan to radicalize. The U.S. keeps funding terrorism against themselves for some odd reason, they even almost accidentally funded a second Hitler in South Korea named "Park Chung Hee" when relations between the R.O.K and U.S. were at a all time low. Then after WWII, they failed to root out pro Japanese fascists in Korea and Japanese war criminals in Japan because they were anti communist and useful puppets in the cold war. The USSR and the U.S. divided Korea up like some spoils of war and started a war that killed millions of Koreans over some foreign ideologies. Then the U.S. wants us to be grateful because they "saved us" when in reality, they just wanted to expand their influence in Asia because I'm sure America is a very charitable nation. America did it out of their national interest like any other nation would so asking us to be thankful at this point is some sort of beginning to an abusive relationship. Korea had incompetant leaders but most of our troubles came from our geographical position, allowing us to be exploited to such degree.
Also while I'm at it, most people have this strange misconception that South Korea's economic success was thanks to American aid and money which couldn't be further from the truth. So many poor third world countries rely on America aid yet they are still spinning their webs in poverty.
Either way, may not sound like it but I'm pro U.S. I hope America can relax and we can create and shape a new future together but do not believe every Korean thinks that the U.S. is their "god given saviour".
I was there last year. What an amazing place to visit. Tradition and innovation coexist peacefully pretty much everywhere. I liked how clean it is and how everything is convenient.
South Korea isnt terrible but you should try Vietnam and Thailand because they have way better food, prices, and cultural destinations.

You probably are inhuman. 2014 the Ferry SEWOL was sunk with 320 students, teachers on board. It took eternity to recover the dead from the water, and to apologise by the corrupted government to the victims. All hell broke loose till 2017 evil PM Park was finally convicted, and the new PM Moon imprisoned her with her accomplice. Seoul is a corrupted mega city, and South Korea is governed by 5 chaebols, who control the nation. There is no world tourism, just SKoreans flock like bees to the Capitol, the rest of SKorea is isolated in villages, and some small cities, where the population struggles to survive. In Seoul most people sleep everywhere, when they not on their cell phones, as the work too long hours. I have seen it all from 2010-2019. The best thing about SKorea is Hangul, a beautiful language, and Buddhism, as the Monks and Nuns of every Temple work hard to make their Temples prosperous, they don’t beg, cook delicious vegetarian foods, make wild green tea, sell handmade things, have restaurants in Seoul, have Meditation centres, are active participating in life. Their Spring (Buddha’s Birthday) and Harvest Festivals, Lantern, Chuseok Festivities are the major events of the year celebrated by all SKoreans. I have to say, l first loved SKorea unconditionally till l could not close my eyes anymore to all the terrible things going on, how exploited is the normal population, how unforgiving and harsh every one is treated, when not functioning as expected...In ten years l experienced many things, but mostly kindness, help, and respect, because as a super white European person my skin, eyes, looks, my independence travelling on my own were admired by all Koreans l encountered all over the peninsula. Still till today l love, and have compassion for South Koreans, but l am done with their Rulers, and dependence on the US military base. 22.02.24 😢
