A tip for Dawnbreaker is the instance gives a huge steady flight speed increase, so while it's not as fast as skyriding, it saves having to split second figure out where to land for the city part and possibly aggroing more stuff. Removes a huge scary part of the dungeon for me as a healer trying to find the tank and not die
Ever since I started prepositioning on her landing spot she stopped doing that for the most part. Sometimes she still takes a shot at a -seemingly- random target tho
I also watched Yufan's video on NW last boss trick. I think it isn't the mage blink/shimmer made it. Yufan said guardian druids/dks can aggro the add down there by using target macros. That way first add down will be aggro'd and teleported up there. So when first dps gets thrown down by boss, first add is considered "killed' even though a second add spawns down there. So first dps can click on the friendly and get sent back immediately. Then second add will have aggro on first dps and be teleported to the top as well.
The last tip I think you only understand half. The way they did is the when start the boss, dk grab the mob aggro and the mob teleport to the top. So after they killed the mob, there will be a second mob refresh when one dps get teleported down. Here is the trick, although the second mob is channeling the angel, but the first mob that prevent you from click the angel has already dead which means you can use the angel immediately. And the second mob get aggro from dps and teleport to top again so the you can keep this loop. 1st angel with 2nd mob and 2nd angel with 3rd mob on and on..
Mechanist encounter now has a much wider lava wave that even "expands" before reach to that little corner spot. I stood there thinking I would be safe and then saw that wave suddenly become bigger and hit me. The box is still the same size, leaving some room to stand there but lava wave will get you anyway.
you can make the add from NW last boss go up the platform if you use threat redirect moves, but every other time it bugs out and you can never click on Kyrian to go back up, and you die down there
The last technique of Necrotic wake is because they pre-pull the mob through druid and DK so the mob is actually, the second one so the angel is clickable
Careful with the second boss of grimbatol when doing pugs. Some dps get sooo focused that forget they have to move! Otherwise the cleave and spawn ine add is great to speed up the run

Do you know if there is any settings in plater that would allow me to: a) use name-only mode (no healthbar) on friendly npc/players unless they are my targets? b) hide all text on minor mobs, show just the health bar? Those are some settings I love in Kui Nameplates, but your cast and aura tracking in Plater is much more advanced.

The Angel Npc at Necrotic Wake Last Boss gauntlet phase is not active until the add dies for me as a Demon Hunter (unable to click it before add dies), i play in EU.

I've been playing Classic for long time and just getting back to Retail. So this might be a weird question. Can you mitigate any damage like blocking an attack if a mob is hitting you from behind?
@@kimandersen6174 Yes never turn your back towards mobs if you can avoid it. Sometimes gathering mobs can be rough coz of that, but just take your time and get threat on initial mobs, then ya can chain pull them how u feel safe to do it. Better to be alive than dead when ya get into higher keys too now, because death timers are very punishing now.
I *think* the SV Machinists boss is fixed now. That or positioning is a bit more specific than predicted, though I still won't count on this strat, it'll 100% be hotfixed fast as they're really on it currently.
There's literally 1 mechanic going on this fight and that's stepping on a vent that's not on fire. The rest of the bars are just useful metrics, no need to be scared

Ive seen Captain Lockwood cast gut shot MID AIR so i will for sure try to position better as tank but there is some jank with gut shot still
That whole boss is a jankfest tbh (I can confirm at least one instance of her onebanging a random ranged dps while jumping back)

After the destro-necrotic wake bug in SL that lasted from beta until at least the start of DF, I can't expect them to fix bugs.

You need to grab the first mob before the teleport so the one below is actually second mob.

No, if a mob hit u from behind no block, parry or dodge will work.
