I've always been a rhythm player and so really appreciate all of your nuances in John's rhythm patterns. As a rhythm-chord oriented person (who tries to play music!) I'm always drawn to songs that have chord sequences that make me take notice. I absolutely love the chord sequence in these verses, the G# and E+ are wonderfully used to evoke the dreamy quality of the lyric.
Man, Mike really nailed it on those Lennon vocals!
Great!
As usual, George keeps a low profile, but the result is exactly what is needed for the song.
Thank you Mike.
One of my favorite Beatles songs. So John.
Good to see and hear you , Mike! Ty for pumping out these amazing covers/analyses. They show how amazing The Beatles songs were and you're the best coverer!
Thanks so much for all these great lessons! I cannot play them but, Its a pure joy watching you reconstruct these fantastic Beatles tunes! I also appreciate and enjoy the 'sound alike' at the end!
As usual. incredible teaching & rendition of a classic Lennon tune! Thank you Mike for continuing to keep Beatles music alive and well! Hope that you are doing well and staying safe.
My pleasure!
I never did think much of that song... until now. Now I can appreciate the work gone into orchestrating the different instruments, & Mike's breakdown of the song.
Absolutely love the sound alike takes. Mike you're probably the worlds No1 Beatles expert. Thank you for these vids
Glad you like them!
Thank you Mike, you are a brilliant teacher and star! Love the background on the song. God bless
Thanks so much!
I am always impressed by the music performance but this time, I have to give a big BRAVO for the Lennon sound alike voicing. I am totally blown off by the whole thing. Merci encore M. Pachelli.
Thanks for listening
I must admit that the middle part to this song is well written. It shows that Lennon had the talent to do a good middle without Paul's help as he did in No Reply.
John wrote quite a lot of middles to songs without Paul's help.
@@scottandrewbrass And a lot of middle 8s for Paul's song
Fabulous breakdown of a much overlooked belter. I love your delivery in researching these fantastic songs! Thanks Mike. Always rated this song from the day the album was released.
Thanks Mike, for this brilliant decryption of one of the most enigmatic songs by John. Well done!
Thanx Mike for all you do to teach us these great Beatle songs! Much appreciated! And always love the back story and your playing at the end!
What a beautiful bunch of chords. Nice job Mike. John was so great.
Mike Pachelli you perform a real service.
Appreciated.
One of my favourite Beatles tracks. There’s a hint of the Stones ‘Last Time’ in George’s part which I hadn’t realised before. Excellent work as always
I was thinking the very same, Brian's riff.
Yes. The song was written by Lennon and Mcartney. They gave it to The Stones.
thought it sounded more like Chuck Berry's "Memphis" Someone he was influenced by
Brilliant! As always, thanks for the great fun and analysis along the way!
Love it. Love it. Never tire of your work Mike.
Really good Mike! Some really sophisticated guitar parts. George knew how to play just the right thing to compliment the songs. Thanks for sharing...👍
Amazing, excellent work 🙏🏻
Great work Mike ... probably my fav Beatles song and you did it great justice.
Incredible as usual
Another great job, Mike! Really enjoy all of your videos.
Great lesson Mike. I love this song. The E augmented chord sounds so perfect.
Another great job Mike, thank you! great vocals also. And then you say you have "Yes It Is" in the works... the hits just keep on coming. I hope "Two Of Us" is somewhere in the back log. Thanks again!
Another brilliant deconstruct Mike! Many thanks and please keep 'em coming. Fred in Spain.
I remember waiting in my friend’s 1966 mustang on 42nd street in Manhattan for the record store to open to buy the White Album. We heard some songs from it on the radio but we bought Beatles records without hearing it first in those days. It had an impression of the Beatles name on the cover and it had pictures inside.
just amazing how you are able to decipher those sounds .
Love this song! Thanks 4 all u do!
Mike, I think your backstory descriptions for the Beatle lessons are always so interesting. This one was great, like always!
Take care and be well!
Amazing as always Mike
Awesome man, great song! Thanks

As always you nailed it perfectly! Thank you for all your hard work, Mike :)
So good! I love love this one
Glad you like it!
As Sir Paul said "nobody does it better!" Again outstanding!
Really appreciate your awesome Beatles lessons Thanks
How great is it to live during a time with all the great beatles resources we have on RUclips? Second only to being around during their run.
I'm betting it was far better to be "around during their run." And I outta know - I was there then!
A 2min song and so much detail as always. Fantastic Job Mike 👍😃
QB - I always find in astounding how much detail went into those "2min songs." The lads were truly amazing!
Nice ! Love that track so much
Cedric - Thanks and me too. I always thought this track to be brilliant.
You never cease to amaze me, thank you

Whoa! Another great lesson. I watched you give a little preview of this song the other day on your live cast and I think the finished product is terrific. Many thanks.
string - Cool, thanks! and yeah - it took another few days for me to polish her and make it acceptable.
Thank you Mike, that was a treat! Nice.
Enjoy the channel Mike. Thank you for such detailed history and trivia, ie dates, backstories etc. it adds a lot of color and flavor for us trivia buffs. 👌
Man the rhythm on this is great, it really communicates John's wit
Mike !!! So great thankyou
So mellow! Lol. Love it! Love your analysis!
Thank you! 😁
Brilliant!
Yeh - for me one of those Beatles songs that should have gone in the bin. That aside, only my opinion, love the videos, keep them coming.
Love this Mike. Been waiting for you to do this song - one of my all time favourites. Love the detail on George’s lead. You’ve also solved a puzzle for me - I never knew if the second chord was a straight G# or something else. Fantastic vocals too on the sound alike it’s not an easy one to sing. Great job. Cheers Simon
Hey Mike!!! Have I told you lately that I love you???
Man, I wish you were here 30 years ago when I first tried out to play these Beatles songs
Fantastique Michel !!! Wow, you never disappoint us. Always superior stuff. I love the "Rekcabnekcir" bass.
That’s the weirdest way I’ve seen a Rickenbacker spelled
Wow! I Love the song💗💗💗
You lifted the bonnet (hood if you must) on this song as well. Brilliant and thanks. So many parts were puzzling me now made crystal clear.
John - Thanks and yeah - the lads were VERY good at making the complex seem simplistic!
And the sound-alike. Excellent
PERFECT !!! GREAT
Great tutorial, and beautiful sound-alike, Mike!
Damn! That was great! Loved the vocals.
Well done Mike !!!
Brilliant mate
Great song and great explanation!
Wow !!! John Lennon lives again thro' you Mike, Incredible rendition ...... great video!

Hadn't considered doing that one but it's one my faves!
Certified legend
Your the best I thank you so much You’ll never know
Mike man your the best !!!!
Digging this channel. Just found it. You look like you’re having too much fun! Thanks man!!
Thanks Mike for all the great work you do. I know you put a lot of effort in these video breakdowns. It’s many days of work as we can see from your soundalike performances, different clothes in every part! Your « monsieur, monsieur » at the end was excellent. Living in France must’ve help a little! 😂
Best Regards from Québec.👍🥰
Richard - I appreciate that! And you can show your support at www.MikePachelli.com
one of my favorites , very lennonish
I always played that E Aug as a C#m and it seemed to work harmonically, but this is so much better, (and right). Thanks for the correction!
Great video Mike the sound alike was right on
Well done🤟
Hi Mike. I love these vids. Is there a video of your studio gear and set up. Would be very interested to see.
Always a great breakdown Mike, you & that lil' Rin-O ticker give a grin ! ...
Glad you enjoyed it. And I've had that metronome since the 70's! It takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'!
My pleasure as always @@MPfrance !
I love the sound alike at the end it’s what makes u the best at covering songs on YT 😊
I always thought that this was an interesting song but the guitar work is still great as always, I'd love to see a video on some of the band's Anthology cuts like Free As A Bird, Real Love and If You've Got Trouble
Good job
I love how you have Ringo's help now! :)
Merci Mike. Très belle cover. Ici il pleut (rain I don't mind) mais avec les Beatles tout va bien.
Bravo pour ton talent.
Vocals you do are like super good
Aaron - thanks - very kind of you to say!
Great breakdown of how John and George played. Listening to Apple Musics version of the White Album you cannot hear any of Johns andGeorges playing as the version available is very predominately bass which appears to drown out any other instruments.
I have an original EMI 3 3/4 inch reel to reel tape of the White Album which would probably represent what was recorded, but unfortunately I have not the means to play it.
Great what you are doing cannot wait for your next breakdown of John and George’s playing.
Super !
Super!!!!
Another superb tutorial! Question: I hear Lennon playing a barred Dm. Check it out.
Instead of shortening Ringo to Ring, have you thought of switching it to Richie. like they were calling him in the Get Back sessions?
This song is underrated IMO glad you’re covering it 👍
it's not the type song to rate way up there, it's rated about how it should be.
Great one Mike! Thanks.
Guess you’ve listened to the Revolver super deluxe? Yellow Submarine…….revaluations!
Truth-be-told - I already had the stems of 90% of the super dooper deluxe.
Excelente amigo! The Beatles lo máximo, mis respetos por su trabajo y su talento
¡Sí, tenían bastante talento!
Great video again, Mike. Do your tabs on the website include the bass tab? Thanks
