Love the Alaskan Sablefish!
Miss you more than words, Seattle... look forward to return back soon
stay away commy?
Hello Amalia and Jared, from Mary in West Seattle! Nice video! Two places we really like here for casual fish and chips are Seattle Fish Company and Marination Ma Kai. Seattle Fish Company (at the Alaska Junction) also sells fresh seafood, so the fish is super fresh and tasty. Marination Ma Kai (at Seacrest Park, where the Water Taxi docks) has a wide and tasty menu, sorta Hawaiian, sorta Korean, all Seattle, plus a great view of Elliott Bay and Downtown Seattle! ❤
You've got a great personality for this. I don't know when I'm going to get to Seattle to try some of these restaurants because I hate driving there, but I enjoyed this video.
I love this! As an almost-lifetime Northewesterner, I love your choices. Ivar's is always at the top of my list. The best fish and chips anywhere!
sounds like i need to make my way out to Seattle! I'm looking forward to what you'll share with us next!
Great video! So informative and funny - looking forward to more!
Great video. I have lived here since the Reagan era and when I first moved here I tried Ivar's, took one bite, and thought I was eating Progresso clam chowder. But, tourists will stand in line just like they stand in line at the "first" Starbucks in the market. The first Starbucks was on Western Avenue and that building burned down back in '76, I think. And why would anyone drink Starbucks in this city? :)) But, I digress. Cutters serves a great margarita.
I would retitle this wonderful video to read, Best Seattle Seafood Restaurants because as a local you surely know that the best seafood in town will be at someone's backyard barbeque:) Best I have had was the night a neighbor knocked on my door and offered me a couple of fish that her boys had caught. She said they were already cleaned and I was thinking fish, like trout or bass. No, they were big, had the tail and head on them still, and I don't know what they were. Some kind of white fish that I cut into very thick fillets and grilled. I can't imagine what Duke's would have charged per fillet but I stuffed myself. Fisherman's Terminal is a good place to grab some salmon.
What about Ray’s Boathouse in Ballard, and Ivar’s in Mukilteo?
I'm headed to Seattle in March and April for a couple of rock concerts. I'll definitely consider filling up on Ivar's clam chowder before the shows. It's one of my all time favorite soups. Thanks for the video!
Ivar's is such a foundational part of my childhood memories, I always loved when we could get Super Fancy and go to the fancy one!
Awesome first vid guys! Also help I am now extremely hungry. (Those might be the politest seagulls I've ever seen 100000/10 goodest boys)
Now I have a couple more places to take my out of town friends when they visit!
I second the Market Grill! Hands down, they have the best fish sandwich in town, especially since Ballard Brothers closed (RIP to their amazing Cajun sauce).
No mention of Ray's? Definitely worth the Uber ride for a high end local spot. Also loved the shot of the Market Grill, that was always my favorite hole in the wall spot.
Ray’s is such a treasure!
I really liked your video
Elliott's Oyster House
Lobster isn't local In Seattle. I had the best Lobster in PEI Canada and in Maine.
Pike place chowder is amazing. I tried the all of them but the Manhattan is terrible. Worst than canned version. Lol
Why not show the drug people and homeless people craping on the street? that is seattle and king county.
What a terrible review 🤮🤮🤮
