My parents got me Royal Rumble 92 and SummerSlam 92 VHS for Birthday in 1993 UK versions, i wore those VHS tapes out! Looking back i wish i took better care of them! the christmas of 1993 i also got the hasbro ring with belt and sound effects which my two brothers fell on and broke while play wrestling on the same Christmas day 1993 it was heartbreaking, i also got a bunch of Hasbro figure if i remeber correctly LOD double pack, Nasty Boys double pack, British Bulldog, Roddy Piper, Macho Man, Ultimate Warrior, Bret Hart & Mr Perfect yellow version that was the start of WWF obsession I was 6 years old i conontinued to get figures for every birthday until Hasbro stopped making the figures, I think El Matador and Rick Martel were probably my favourite figures who i always made the WWF champion, although my fave wrestler was MAcho Man great videos soo nostalgic 💙
Wow! What an amazing Christmas haul!! Thank you for sharing and I am so glad you are enjoying the content. Getting the Hasbro ring was a highlight of my childhood too. I like the Jake the Snake figure. I made a cloth bag for Damian. 😂
I might be able to add a little context to the Fall Brawl '93. I was actually at that event in Houston, Texas. And usually a Pay Per View VHS video would be for sale not that long afterwards. But for some reason, this particular title was really delayed and hard to find. I finally bought one, but soon after the video disappeared from the catalog and was never to be seen again for sale. My assumption was there wasn't very many made as this was a huge transition year behind-the-scenes for WCW into the Hogan years in 1994.
I sold my collection 2014 had everything Starrcade '85 with the box not clamshell, coliseum Mind Games and The Lumberjacks and man getting them back is gonna be impossible. One of the rarest WF catalog would be Women of the WWF, as well as Best of the WWF Volume 16 Around the World. I have the DVD of insurrextion and no idea why it's worth that much on VHS. Also 1992 is incredible with Heenan on commentary is just gold.
Amazing! Thank you for sharing. You had some rare finds indeed. You are probably right, I would guess there aren’t too many copies of some of those titles in circulation!! I hope you are able to reclaim a few someday if that is what you are trying to do.
I used to collect the VHS tapes. I had a pretty decent collection. I found a treasure trove of early 90s WCW Turner Home Video like Halloween Havoc '91, Beach Blast '92, Starrcade '90 etc. I eventually sold them all off. But good times hunting flea markets and antique malls. I got into toys later on...never much wrestling figs other than to flip. GI Joe, TransFormers, MOTU stuff mostly.
what I find interesting about the 1992 royal rumble is if you look at the front of the tape all the wrestlers around Flair are still alive but all the ones around Hogan are all dead, interesting huh???
Without population reports, I wouldn't reccomend paying any kind of premium price for a sealed vhs released in the 90s. Tapes were being distributed in higher volumes at that time through various retail outlets which significantly increases the odds of sealed copies still existing in the wild. 80s clamshells are likely to be far rarer- especially if they were only available for rental or mail order.
Which wrestling tape is your favorite? Let us know! 🔽
Superhero's of Wrestling as it was my first

Nice! Thanks for the info!!!
Sorry, but my mind is racing with jokes about tight, clean, non-yellowing plastic on an old clam shell.
