I wish someone would build tons of these villages just for seniors, with ideally a common area for services or just for visiting with each other and then a couple of traveling nurses that could live there just for non emergency health services. It doesn't have to be fancy, just the basics that could be covered by seniors' social security. Realize how much pride & independence this gives someone, as well as peace of mind for family members. This is such a nice alternative compared to nursing homes. Many of us are fairly healthy well into our later years, compared to previous generations. I would think investors would be lining up for such an opportunity!

My heart jumped a couple beats when I first saw Luannes tiny! The layout.. the kitchen on the one side, thr private areas on the other side. I was really drawn to the open book cubies! That could inspire me to go from 3 bookcases to one. And I just love how its a great room with just the perfect amount of room for cozy and entertaining

hopefully these tiny homes are in like a southern state meaning not in the cold like more like Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina do you know Florida like that night? I don’t want to be I’m in PA I don’t want anywhere above PA I want at least 2 to 3 states below PA for sure Morson more nature so I hope they have tiny homes more in Georgia. Return South Carolina.

I was thinking more of like a two bedroom mobile home like maybe 2015 or 2020 now no 2015 because it be less expensive then you got a hopefully not being a part that keeps raising it like being alone $200 a month mobile home
This sounds like a great solution for seniors that are concerned with financial security and safety while maintaining their independence, being surrounded by others that will hopefully look out for each other. Also, this is a lovely home!!!

How is this any different from a Mobile home park? Look at what is happening all over the US. The land owners are either selling, or raising the rent, and there are no new places to go. Seems like the same old solution to me. The trailer just has different siding.
Meaning the modern way of individualism is not safe ...especially for women... radical feminism is not good for most women, but I am really happy that she found a solution . Men have to do much better nowadays too. So sad to see elderly ladies all on their own....

I’ve always loved LouAnns house. Randy Jones has shown it a couple of times. The design and flow is wonderful. Luann has decorated her home beautifully and made it very inviting. Great Job.
Not only does she have a lovely home that she can afford, she is part of a wonderful community. Too many seniors become isolated in their communities and that opens them up to depression and anxiety. She's living large in her Incredible Tiny Homes Community!!

If I could accommodate the humidity, this would be a perfect location. The gentleman who has designed and built this tiny home village has done a master job.

Actually, I looked again and found it! Newport, Tennessee. Um, ….no thanks. It *is* very humid there. I lived in that area decades ago and didn’t like it there at all. *Nothing* could ever make me consider living anywhere in Tennessee again. The home is beautiful, though, and I’m glad that she’s happy there.

I’m 70 and as I watched this I felt such envy. I have a 4 bedroom house in the suburbs and I just want to live the way this lady does. Her home is beautiful and so inviting.❤
What a beautiful home. I am in the UK, and as someone else has already said in their comment we do not have tiny homes here. We live in a 60' x 7' narrowboat and really envy the space in the tiny homes. If I was in the US I would be heading to Incredible Tiny Homes.

Wow, Luanne, your house is just beautiful! I love the exterior AND the interior. I really like how you have designed the inside - you obviously put a lot of thought into what you needed for your lifestyle. There are so many ideas that have inspired me for my own home, which is not a tiny house on wheels, but a fairly small cabin in the woods. So glad Jenna featured your house. And yes, Randy Jones is really making a difference and creating affordable places for people to live. We need more people like that - and we need somebody like that in my neck of the woods in Canada!

It’s so great to see a senior with this freedom and independence! We need much more of this across the country! It’s a shame in most places in US is not even a possibility because huge house builders and greed in addition to everything taking ages to dap on terms of permits/zoning/legislation and bureaucracy.
This has been favorite ITH home since it was first shown.
This seems like THE perfect answer to my needs! I love how Luanne uses a daybed for a sofa - something I would also do. She certainly fits a lot of living in a tiny home. Go Luanne!

This has to be one of my favourite tiny homes 🤩 absolutely love the layout especially all the storage opposite the bathroom and the stairs at the back, the way the kitchen integrates with the living room is idea for people who have lots of visitors and social activities 🥳
I NEED to view more and more seniors living in tiny homes. This is definitely on my radar. I am age 72 and I know that at some point my husband will pass away and i will no longer be able to keep my expensive condo on one smaller income. I've already downsized from a rural home on 5 acres to a 1258.00 sq. ft condo. So, a tiny home community might be just the thing for me. $200.00 a month in rent is absolutely incredible. LOVE THAT POP OF RED!! The only extra thing I would need would be a place to hang my clothes to finish drying.

There are so many things about this tiny house that I love, but the 10 foot width is the main thing that makes it so liveable. And the stairs at the rear so they don't take up space in the main room. I would probably prefer to have a full stove, and I would have a sofa instead of a daybed. But it all works perfectly for her and that's what matters. Beautiful home.

Cute layout. That's exactly where stairs should be. They take up less space if they are at the rear of the home, plus it helps so pipes don't freeze.
How does it help to keep the pipes from freezing? Because the bathroom isn't at the back?

I have watched endless tiny home videos over the past years and hands down, this is one of my favorites! If I built one, this would be the one. I would however, raise the bedroom ceiling so I could stand up in it. There’s something in a bedroom when making a bed and getting dressed that I want to feel like a normal bedroom. Otherwise, there is nothing I would change. Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your home ... ♥️

Nice custom home! I remember when this home was still in the shop getting built. Randy thought it was nuts to want your toilet under the stairs. See how well that worked out (as long as the owner isn't too tall). Lots of windows is my favorite part.

This is the perfect tiny house for a senior. Those stairs are the safest I’ve seen in any tiny house I’ve looked at. The flow of the downstairs is awesome. I think it’s perfect. I could be very content there. Love that she has a circle of friends who get together. Yes, perfect.

I love your cozy tiny home! It looks more like a house and is well designed inside and out. The different lap siding on the exterior with the white trim really pops. I also love how the kitchen is arranges at the end, plus that there is a window at the bottom of your stairs. You have beautiful woodwork and the bookshelves across the kitchen window is a nice feature. Great job! Jenny

My husband and I just bought a "mobile" tiny home, in a park, in NH. Less than 800 sq feet, and the third is that is office/ business space.
It is in an unusual mobile home park situated on a side of a hill with views and lots of lot space. It's a miracle we got it, and being New Hampshire, generally speaking anything under $250K is considered a teardown purchase. This purchase was 100k, it needed minimal upgrades. Like I said it was a miracle.
By the time we are 70, the mortgage will be paid off, and we will just have to pay the park rent. I am aware that the park could be sold from underneath us, it's a risk. I'm also aware that since I bought this property in February, it's value has gone up by at least 10%. There is such a housing shortage in New Hampshire, that we could turn this around in 10 years and move somewhere else in the middle of nowhere in a tiny home in live very, very comfortably.
No matter where you are, tiny is the way to go in the future. If you want to squeeze every penny out of every dollar you have, living large and paying large taxes is not the way to go. We've all been forced into this box, but we need to make the best of it and we need to have discussions with local communities about humane tiny home park design and allowing so many per population. Is it more kind and humane to throw people out on the streets because they are not the 1%?
Just because we don't have pockets lined and gold does not mean we do not deserve clean humane places to live. Not all of us want to live in apartments, like cattle hearded into a slaughter pen.

i am 76 and have seen many tiny houses over the past years, basically on you tube or tv, this is exactly what i would want and it is very very cozy to.

This lady comes across so kind and friendly. I love her. And her little dog Bentley is a doll. She has done a wonderful job with this house. It is so festive for Christmas and she even has a tree up and decorated. So homey. The fireplace to me is a must have and she did a great job getting that. I also love the color choice for the exterior of her house. Brown with white trim and a Bright red door! It just fits. Very cozy and inviting looking. The only part that made me worry was her going up those stairs and the bedroom didn't have much room if any on the sides of the bed. As she ages, I worry this house she loves won't work for her because the stairs could become a hazard and when in a small space you have to be able to move around things a lot. If I got a place I loved, I would want to stay there forever and not have to move because of stairs and tight spaces. I truly hope she gets to stay there for as long as she wishes. Love the community feel too.
when she first moved in, her shed had not been built yet and she slept on her daybed. no reason why she cant do that again if needs be.
