That is I am very interested in starting my own tiny house RV rental community. If you don't mind asking this question how much would it cost for me to create my Tiny house community within 1 acre of land?
@@michaelbrannaka4046 like anything else, it will cost as much money as you have and/or are willing to put into it! Realize too, if it is your property then it will be forever endless and costly. Lot and hoa fees are the biggest turn off, like many other communities, and of course the more people or homes the more problems with payments and personality conflicts. Most older people have limited income and cannot afford increases and might eventually not afford upkeep either so then there's that to worry about. Too many rules and all things considered not worth something to get invested in unless you've got money to burn and time to waste.
No we don't. We are trying to escape "lot rent" situations. Where some dickhead gets loaded renting me piece of pavement. No way Im buying a tiny home and still paying rent
Oh my goodness…she picked up the house on her 75th birthday and who knew she was even 75 years old! It’s been a couple of years … She looks great! and I’m happy for her ❤️
What a wonderful reality this woman lives. It’s great to see a woman reach a goal in life all on her own.Tiny house is really nice 👍 And her dog what a snuggle cutie pie 🥰
This was such a good tour, and thank you. I am 74, and during the housing downturn I lost my larger home, and I had to move in with my kids. So many foreclosures those years. I found a little 500 hundred square foot house for 1500.00, and it needed so much work. I bought it, and did most of the work myself. I never thought I could live in such a small space, but you never know. Much happier now I have been here eleven years, and still working on the house. Thanks this should be an inspiration for all.
@@allielayne7047 Yes 1500.00, the bank paid the closing cost. In 2009 banks were trying to dump these foreclosed properties so this 550 sq ft house needed a lot of work. Investors from other countries were buying them for almost nothing. My home is 100 years old, and homes surrounding it are also close to that age. I paid cash, and I am still working on it. Happy to have a home. Have a blessed one.
I really like that she seems genuinely happy with her house, she’s independent, enjoys practical things and has what she needs without clutter. I especially like that she unapologetically replaced the couch with a comfy chair she liked because that’s what she wanted and didn’t care to have the expected couch everyone gets for their tiny houses.
I loved this interview and her home is lovely. She is a wise woman who chose wisely! Living in a community of tiny homes adds so much to having a tiny home. Having others who are thinking along the same lines as neighbors is priceless.
I admire your down sizing. Love your tiny home. I need to do that at my age. I lived like that during my much younger age. Need to go back to that life style. You look great for your age and you are very active. Wish you much success.
I am 65 and have lived in my tiny almost 2 years. I LOVE this life, but one thing I am jealous of with Sandy's home is the short climb to a bedroom where she can stand up.
She is one of the best ambassadors for tiny homes that I have ever seen! The house is really beautiful and well made and I love how her bedroom is done, up on the second level of the 5th wheel trailer. She definitely has plenty of storage and the house fits her perfectly. I loved the village too, it's like living full time in your RV in different parks. Everyone thinks the same so lots in common. One of the best tiny home videos I've seen!
I am 74 and so very much want to downsize to a tiny home. I am so impressed with Sandy taking the plunge at her age and doing what she wants to do instead of following what everyone thinks she should be doing. This is a perfect solution for so many elders who still want their independence, affordability of a home that is theirs, and yet surrounded by others who are close by for comfort and security. I really hope more contractors and private landowners will take notice of the real need for more tiny home villages, especially for the senior. I am psyched up and ready to go !
Your encouraging people my age. I just turned 36 and I've been working since I was 17 and feeling drained and tired I just want to live tiny have a home that belongs to me without a mortgage. She's soo right we don't need a lot to live happily and since starting my minimalist journey in 2017, it's amazing the things we buy just to kill time. Even if we can't all find a tiny land or community, just buying a smaller footprint when buying a home is moving towards a more freeing lifestyle🤗
Congratulations on achieving this wisdom early in life. Many people your age fall into buying big home and big mortgage. You will succeed early in life not being in debt for your home. Best wishes!
I have after so many years, been so uncertain about my future (at 52) & I've watched a few of these episodes however this story has helped me see this chapter in my life. This lady has inspired me so deeply & her tiny home holds everything that I love & need in life. Thank you so much for sharing this lady's story & her letting us in like she did. I'm so happy for her ❤️🙏
I am also 77 and I love this house. I also love the bedroom because you can stand up in it. There are so many that you have to crawl in and the old knees can't do that.
Hi Sandra I've looked at tiny homes for years. Originally, most were DIY builds & occupants were young adventures. A traditional home is expensive & time consuming to maintain. Going tiny offers reduced costs & time freedom. The ability to enjoy activities, socialize or travel. Your home is the most elegant & sophisticated I've seen! Beyond the charming decor it's functionally efficienct. If I didn't see outside, I'd guess it's a luxury apartment in a city. Everything about your home is lovely & it's a perfect reflection of your classy character. Thank you for the tour & sharing your valuable wisdom.
I’m a nurse and absolutely love the fact that being 77yrs young your mobility is awesome.. My Granny was also very active mind intact up until her death at 102.. My oldest sister is 78 also a nurse is still working a full time job as well as overtime.. My mother unfortunately loss her life to cancer of the cervix at age 43.. I was 9 so my sister raised me… I worked mainly cardiac care and med surge then surgical .. where I’m currently working.. I have seen as young as 21yr old to 97yrs old we’ve moved to a nursing home .. it’s like people retire to hold down the furniture instead of being active.. You’re an inspiration… ❤️ Being social on occasion is great.. and I see living tiny has allowed so much time to be active not idle.. wishing you great health to continue your journey ❤️
What a beautifully done book ruclips.net/user/postUgkxT9ExVpR-3A-9rpRqx8vzXKZ3BMMTg_KH ! The text and the photographs are brilliant. It is thorough and genuinely informative. Joseph Truini got another winner! No one does it better! Love the Cape Cod Shed with the Blue door!

Yeah and if you have time to think about it this would be a really good goal for somebody who is active and you know eventually everybody's going to get old but this would be great for a couple the loss would be great for grandkids the community look how close they are to everything so your kids could come they could stay in the hotel if they wanted to LOL but there's so many designs that you can actually have I'm talking about and still have a tiny home you could have two loft areas you can have a lower loft and a higher loft just in Texas has to stay within a certain amount of square feet but that being said you can have a tiny home any size you want it but there are rules to go by depending on how many square feet and how ha the ceiling can be in that the loft you cannot stand up in in the state of Texas if the rest of your tiny home is 399sq ft... once it gets to 400 you have to pay taxes on it like a regular home it's no more recreational vehicle so that's just one of the many laws in Texas but if you think it through this could be a great great option for someone to have in their backyard for their parents because it is not another resident if you keep it at 399 sq ft... I've been looking at these I'd say for a minimum of a year but the first week or two I've benched watch to just see all the different kind of options and you can build it at any price too I mean the better quality stuff you want you can have better quality than woman spend a lot of money on her kitchen cabinets so and that's okay you know and I would not necessarily have to have that expensive cabinets but I wouldn't want cheap ones either I want this thing to last me you know 15 or 30 years depending on what the Lord would give me to live in but it would be a great retirement situation if you and your spouse got along well because everybody needs an alone space I think so it would have to be an ideal situation it's definitely great for a single man or a single woman I'm talking about elderly but obviously there are some young people doing it too and they're doing this so that they can get education and save up for that real home instead of building up to it they're realizing that family is more important than the large home and I think covid and the pandemic has showed us that family time is so much more important not to say we can't work and have beautiful things I'm not saying that at all I'm just saying that a tiny home can work for a lot of people and I think it'll be a great option for somebody had had their parents move in or a great community like she was living in yeah I can see it I think it'll be around for a long time
@@karenking5357 Whew! Now that was a hell of a run-on sentence! Not to be picky, but if you're going to take the time to write such a long comment, maybe consider punctuation or maybe spellcheck so others may better understand what you're trying to say w/out feeling like they're trying to decipher Morse code. Just sayin... .😉✌🏼
Beautiful tiny home, Zoey, her little dog is precious, love seeing people change their life to suit them, I have no doubt that Sandy is happier there than she would be anywhere else, seems like a great community.
This is why I subscribe to the channel. Everything Sandy said is the information needed before you retire, especially if you are single, want the freedom to travel, but need a home base to return to that does not require 24-hour maintenance. Beautiful tiny home, unique storage underneath her bed with access behind the picture, plus the deck with a picnic table is just right, IMO.
I loved this interview. I dream of having a tiny house one day. I have drawn and/or collected many house designs. Sandy incapsulated my thoughts and goals in a lovely yet, practical little package for me. It was very encouraging. Thank you.
This is so neat! We definitely need more tiny house neighbors in this country! Sandy, you do NOT look 77! Wishing you continued good health and happiness! Your pup too❤️
I love any home that has a freezer drawer labeled "Ice Cream"! Durango is a beautiful city and Sandy and her home fit right in. Thank you for the tour and making us feel at home!
Oh, wow! By far, this is the tiny home video that thrilled me the most! Sandy is 77! She's 77 you all! What an inspiration, picking a NEW home, choosing the best FOR HER, not bothering for OTHER'S JUDGEMENTS, I'd love to meet this woman, interview her, learn from her, have coffes with her, bike with her! LOL! How can we do more things that make our lives better?
This by far is my favorite floor plan! I love the easy access to the bedroom and you can actually stand up. Perfect for seniors like me. Beautiful community. I wish my county would pick up the pace and start zoning and building.
Here in Florida tiny homes could solve so many housing problems, but they're rarely allowed and zoning is restrictive. I could happily live in a home like hers. If possible I might use it as a base for the winter and spend the rest of the year traveling and doing long term stays in other areas I also love. Life would be so much simpler without all the STUFF and never ending expensive home costs of a larger house.
It looks like she got exactly what she needed and is happy with it. That is a true blessing for those in retirement where a large house often becomes a physical and financial burden. I am 60 , so in 7 years I will retire as well and have been thinking of doing what she described some of her neighbors as doing: having a small home as a base to travel from and come home to. Durango is a wonderful town that I have visited many times and is in the transition zone from the mountains to the mesas.
Takes an older woman to do a really good house tour video! I really appreciated her descriptions. This is a well-designed tiny house for a single older person, and I think tiny home communities are going to become a preferred choice for a lot of active seniors in years to come. You get to be in a mixed community of all ages, where people can connect with each other. I can't wait for these communities to really catch on. They are perfect for young people or singles interested in home ownership without being tied to ridiculous mortgages, as well as older people.
Love the lay out, also, I would never have believed in a million years that you were 77!!! I guess tiny living and all that biking certainly agrees with you !!! Continued health and happiness!!
I loved this video. Her home is wonderful and the sense of belonging to a community, and the ability to remain active in her Golden Years is amazing. We all want our autonomy for as long as we can. I think she has the best community I have seen so far. Love, love love this! Been looking at this option more seriously to simplify my needs. Thank you for your tour.
Sandy I so enjoyed your tour. I would love to have one for my 52 year old self and another next door for my 74 year old mom and a tunnel connecting so our eight cats can spend time with both of us! A covered deck between would be awesome! I’m seriously thinking about it. We own five acres in Oklahoma City and we love our neighborhood and our 1300 sq ft mobile home is falling apart. We could each design our own home and still be close but have privacy. God bless you and your sweet puppy and your tiny home for MANY years to come!
Love your home and the community sounds great, Sandy! What a wonderful idea the landowner had - and those planter boxes are delightful! The gators like additional storage, and raising the fence together are so supportive. We do need more of these community! My daughter and son-in love are having a grammie flat built for me soon - I'll be 72 when I move in, and so looking forward to it! My 11 year old grandson and I have been planting veggies.
I live in a mobile home park and we're parked about 20 ft apart. I love that some of her neighbors share decks and don't find them that close at all. I love your channel. Keep up the good work please.
What an inspiration! Sandy has so many great design decisions that went into her home. Every inch is functional and beautiful, but I agree the bedroom is the shining star here. Many tiny home bedrooms are simply a bed without room for much else, but Sandy has made her bedroom a rewarding retreat. She not only has access via steps instead of a ladder, (an important consideration as we all age), but the bedroom offers plentiful head room and Sandy's personal touches, from the colorful bedspread to the delicately hung wood shelves displaying family photos. Sandy's glass bead curtain was a genius idea that I think a lot of viewers will want to recreate for their own space. Thank you so much for sharing, Sandy. Your tiny house is one of the best we've had the honor to see!
She is one of the best person I’ve watched describing her home and shows her love for small living. She really shows how easy life can be in a simple place and a lovely community
Sandy, You are an inspiration. I am 74 and have given a lot of thought to considering a tiny home. I was concerned I might be too old. You have assured me it can be done. Many Blessings!
Sandy is an inspiration! Best tiny home video I've ever seen! Full description is vitally important for those of us who are hoping to build our tiny homes. Escalante Village has been full for a while. Unless they expand or open another location, there's no hope of getting in there. I would begin construction immediately if I had a place to park my tiny. That is the biggest hurdle facing me. Nowhere to park my home even if it's ready. Thank you for such a wonderful video! Again, the best I've seen and that's saying a lot!
This was absolutely beautiful. I’m so glad y’all talked about how despite her old age, she still went for the tiny home. And thank you for showing the village and the nearby by city. It seems like a wonderful place.
This was so much fun to watch, and what a super tiny home community! The colors of your home are different and absolutely lovely! Your stained deck is beautiful along with your picnic table, and your lovely free standing backyard art! Your kitchen cabinetry, refrigerator, sink, and countertops are the bomb! You've got all kinds of activity amenities at your finger tips and you're extremely resourceful! Thanks for sharing your life and home with us - one of my favorites!
I really appreciate this tiny home It is perfectly laid out for her. She can stand in her bedroom which is great and she lives in a village which to me is a major plus.
Thank you Sandy! She validated so many of us Seniors, thinking about the next phase of our lives. I love her place and the layout She's planned it well and what works for her. I enjoy this channel too. You've shown several tiny homes from this village. This video gave us alot of knowledge about it. I would move there in a heart beat! Please show us more from this village. It looks like an Ideal place to live.
Thank you for the kind feedback Paul! Here's one other from the village: ruclips.net/video/dtkXwgQlcbc/видео.html unfortunately due to the pandemic, we're able to do more but definitely want to return!

So inspiring to see an older person navigating and managing her own life. I too am an older person and look forward to maintaining my autonomy for well, ever!
Amazing lady with a fabulous outlook on life. She is living proof that age is just a number. It is wonderful to see her so contented in her beautiful home. May she spend many, many more years of happiness and security here.
I am absolutely enthralled. I will be 75 in a few months & to hear this lovely woman so excited about her home. I do not have the kind of money to buy one but boy you are a blessed woman. Thanks for sharing
I love everything about your very nice tiny home, including your tiny doggie and her precious lil bed tucked up under your bed :) but the very best feature I love is you Miss Lady Sandy! God bless you and thank you for taking the time to show us all your lovely home xo
I love her tiny home. It's beautiful, and homy. I also love that it's a community. I can tell Zoey loves it too. I also loved her story. I could definitely watch it over, and over again. I could definitely relate to wanting to simplify my life, with less. An amazing story.
A beautiful home that suits this lady’s needs. It’s so we’ll organised, a place for everything. Lovely that she has her most personal items that she enjoys on display without being cluttered. I am glad that she’s enjoying her retirement at 77 years young, buying then designing her home within the tiny home community and has good neighbours. The whole area is well maintained by landowner.
Really beautiful! Thank you for sharing ~ what an inspiration you are!! I am 74 and have thought of tiny home living - it's my husband who isn't keen on the idea! Oh well ~ we shall see!! Be well and happy Sandy!
I think this is such a WONDERFUL woman, so kind and real, honest,I hope when I'm her age,I'm 56 , I HOPE I can be as happy, content, and like she said secure!!owning your own space, you LOVE for your FOREVER home!! Good luck! Stay safe, will stay informed with your journey!!
Fantastic little house and home. I'm 77 my wife is 74 and we are still living in a 3 bedroom 2 story home with chairlifts so my wife can get to the grd floor safely. Enjoy your tiny house and your cute little watch dog.
I cannot believe Sandy is 77!😳 She looks incredible! She has created a stunning home! Thanks for sharing it with us.🙏🏻 I would love to have the availability to live tiny where I live. 🌊
I really love your house!! The biggest reason is because you are able to stand in your bedroom. I get real claustrophobic when I see tiny homes with lofts that you have to be on your knees constantly. I could not live like that. This is just perfect!! :)
This is my favorite tiny home video. Sandy had great taste and she explained her tiny home so well. I love that she can stand up in her bedroom and not have to climb too many stairs. I was shocked at her age because she seems much younger. I am 63 for a few more days and this is idea intrigues me. I will be doing more research. Thank you Sandy!
I was amazed when she mentioned her two architect and engineer brothers. My grandma was also the one girl among two brothers who were both engineers. It was nice to suddenly think of her. Sandy's home is lovely. It feels warm, airy, and cozy. I was happy to hear about her convection oven as I love baking and ovens are something I miss seeing in a lot of tiny home videos.
I love that she has “savory spice” on her counter … I used to work at the one here in Atlanta (which is now closed 😥) but I spent a month in Colorado training… it’s a beautiful place … 💕
She’s a brave, lovely lady… living in a tiny house at that age is brave… she’s right… it’s an option to live tiny when you are nearing / at retirement age… and living in a community helps, as people around you know you ..and help you in any emergency. Wishing Sandy a long enjoyable stay in her tiny home…
Love this woman. Thank you so much for featuring her. I have thought of tiny homes for several years but have not been able to find land or a group to build with. Her house is lovely as is her philosophy and Zoey.
This is one of the best videos of a tiny house I have seen. I am older too. She has done a wonderful job. I am in Australia in an area where it never snows. Married to my wife for 51 years. She had MS for 26 years. I was her carer. She has now passed. We built a single level disabled home to make it easier to care for her but I plan to just stay here. Its a large 4 bedroom home and yes I have a lot of "stuff". I am 77 but everything I need in future is here. Both my kids and their families live in the wider area. I do get lonely at times but I have joined a retirement group and go on trips. Tomorrow I am going on a whale watching tour. All the best and I hope you enjoy your retirement there.
You're an amazing, inspirational young lady. Biked 600 miles in a year, you go girl!! Thanks for sharing your journey into tiny house living, or should I say thriving.
I have watched many videos on Tiny Homes but this interview was one of my favorites. If l can find a community like this in Northern California I would definitely do the tiny home living.
I'm retired & this has been my dream for more than a decade. My current home is 1800 + sq ft & I utilize a tiny portion of this for me & my 2 small dogs but pay exorbitant utility bills as it's open floor plan. I'm hoping to sell my current home & a rental property this year & build my tiny home. Finding a community like this in NoCal would be ideal as my daughter & SIL live in SF. I don't want an age restricted community but see Escalante as the ideal. This community & Sandy's home are both well designed & beautiful. Congratulations Sandy for doing what makes you happy!
Love the design of her tiny home inside and out. Something I've considered the best option for me as I am near retirement age since I've lost so much in life. She is a smart lady to do this in spite of what others thought. She followed her heart instead and she is happier for it. Nothing like living simply so you can enjoy your life without all the extra stuff and heavier burdens.
Sandy, I appreciate your independence, self-awareness, resiliencey ,embrace of the improvisational, internal and external groundedness, serenity. It is these qualities that have enabled this lifestyle choice, as well the aplomb and good spirit with which you share your choice-making with us. Continued joy and vitality to you.
I love her tiny house and I am working on designing my own ting house . I am 79 years old and excited about my tiny house. God continue to bless this lady and her new life.
Wonderful interview. I am 73 and traveling alone in my little motorhome. My plan is to move into a tiny home when living on the road is finished. I love the idea of community. Thank you.
Sandy, you have prompted me to do TONS of thinking about it. This one ticks almost all my boxes. Not having to climb a ladder, being able to stand up in the bedroom, and WOW - GORGEOUS! wish there were more options like this up here in Canada. Thank you for this!
The tiny house is spacious. You have standing room in the upstairs bedroom nice I like it. The more I check out the tiny houses it makes me want to invest in me since I'm getting older and I'm by myself and it's cozy
Love your tiny home. I am so proud of you making such a great choice at the age of 75. I just turned 76. Durango is one of my favorite places. Have been there on vacation many times and love the sweet town and surrounding area. I have always live on the MS/AL gulf coast. I have told my family many times if I could not live on the coast I would go somewhere in CO. It’s my happy place. I have also stayed many times at the WMCA cabins in Estes Park another favorite place. Continue enjoying your beautiful tiny home and your very precious Zoey.
Sandy you have a beautiful home and I can definitely understand wanting to live in such an amazing community and to be able to walk or ride a bike into town or to the theater is such a wonderful thing. It reminds me of the town I grew up in and the city my parents moved to after selling our childhood home. Having a close knit community that looks out for each other while still giving each other space is amazing and not something you find very often today. If needed for your safety I am sure that you could find a neighbor who could help you do a small remodel and move your oven/microwave down to a lower level because I doubt that you will not want to have to use the small stool as you get older. I love that you have real lower cabinets in your kitchen with pullout slides for some and large drawers in the other ones. I think that you got one of the best spots for your home because with the storage units behind you, you have an even quieter area as people aren’t opening up the storage units daily and moving things around. You have been blessed to have found such an incredible community to live in.
What?!! When she first said that she picked up her tiny house on her 75th Birthday I exclaimed WHAT?! out loud!!! She seems to have amazing energy for 75(now 77) wow, may we all be so lucky. In addition to her beautiful home, which I love, I am really crazy about little Miss Zoe - she is so precious!! Thank you Sandy & Zoe for sharing your special home and community with us.
And the fact that she's gonna label one drawer in her freezer as 'icecream' 😆
I loved this interview and her home is lovely. She is a wise woman who chose wisely! Living in a community of tiny homes adds so much to having a tiny home. Having others who are thinking along the same lines as neighbors is priceless.
She's is definitely wise, and so true on neighbors!
Thank. Yes, the community is very important. I makes living near other houses so great.
I admire your down sizing. Love your tiny home. I need to do that at my age. I lived like that during my much younger age. Need to go back to that life style. You look great for your age and you are very active. Wish you much success.
Something about her is just refreshingly authentic I love her home!
She’s fabulous! Hard to believe she’s 77. Wow! Living tiny definitely works for her.
Thanks for watching. Yup, 77 and still going strong.
I am 65 and have lived in my tiny almost 2 years. I LOVE this life, but one thing I am jealous of with Sandy's home is the short climb to a bedroom where she can stand up.
Hi Connie, how are you doing?
She is one of the best ambassadors for tiny homes that I have ever seen! The house is really beautiful and well made and I love how her bedroom is done, up on the second level of the 5th wheel trailer. She definitely has plenty of storage and the house fits her perfectly. I loved the village too, it's like living full time in your RV in different parks. Everyone thinks the same so lots in common. One of the best tiny home videos I've seen!
We couldn’t agree more about Sandy being a perfect tiny living ambassador! 😊
I wish I could duplicate this exact space --and live where it does not snow and has nearby shopping. I'd be happy to get it for my 75th.!
Stay on your journey. You are correct, just buying a smaller footprint is a good idea.
Best wishes with your journey and kudos for embracing minimalism!
Congratulations on achieving this wisdom early in life. Many people your age fall into buying big home and big mortgage. You will succeed early in life not being in debt for your home. Best wishes!
I agree
I have after so many years, been so uncertain about my future (at 52) & I've watched a few of these episodes however this story has helped me see this chapter in my life. This lady has inspired me so deeply & her tiny home holds everything that I love & need in life. Thank you so much for sharing this lady's story & her letting us in like she did. I'm so happy for her ❤️🙏
We’re so happy to hear how much you resonated with Sandy & her lovely home ☺️💕✨
I am 50, I was inspired by the story of 75 yrs old. I am also single. I wish there was a village like this in the Philippines.
Sandy is an inspiration. With great deliberation she choose her best life. I'm 70, and Sandy, you really make me think.... Blessings!
💖☺️
Keep thinking. It is a great way to live.
I’m 22 and I love this lifestyle. Lovely video and tiny house! ♥️
I was 9 so my sister raised me…
I worked mainly cardiac care and med surge then surgical .. where I’m currently working..

Ugh she is so cool. I just love this peek into what retirement can look like for more active adults!
our life goals 😉💞
Retirement is what you make it. I just bought an electric bike. Hope to ride 1,000 miles this year.

Thanks. Tiny House Expeditions is so good at what they do.
Wow, we greatly appreciate that!
I loved this interview. I dream of having a tiny house one day. I have drawn and/or collected many house designs. Sandy incapsulated my thoughts and goals in a lovely yet, practical little package for me. It was very encouraging. Thank you.
I loved her, she’s so full of life, and her place reflects her personality
This is so neat! We definitely need more tiny house neighbors in this country! Sandy, you do NOT look 77! Wishing you continued good health and happiness! Your pup too❤️
It's called a trailer park
@@legacyfatherActually they called them TH communities🙄
I love any home that has a freezer drawer labeled "Ice Cream"! Durango is a beautiful city and Sandy and her home fit right in. Thank you for the tour and making us feel at home!
Lol. I love this woman. She knows exactly what she wants and live such a wonderful life.
Simblissity Tiny Homes has some of the best layouts out there! :)
Thanks for watching. This model is perfect for seniors.
Sandy needs her own channel! Enjoyed her narrative so much!
Alexis and Christian, what a lovely woman, love her house and story. Tiny homes and community for win!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, April! It was an absolute pleasure spending time with Sandy and her wonderful community ❤️
Thanks for watching April.
This house is awesome!! I love the fact that she is in her 70’s she looks amazing and healthy you can tell she stays active I love it!!
Love your plan David! That transition zone is absolutely magical :)
David, I wish for you as good a transition as I have had. Retirement is pretty great.
Her house is beautiful and I adore her bedroom and being 77 and so cheerful and happy she inspired me .Lots of love and blessings coming her way.
Thanks for watching.
Love the lay out, also, I would never have believed in a million years that you were 77!!! I guess tiny living and all that biking certainly agrees with you !!! Continued health and happiness!!
What an optimistic lady! She seems very balanced and we LOVED that she chose this beautiful home and moved in at 75. KUDOS!
This is the most beautiful and amazing tiny house ever! I hope this lady would live many years and continue to stay healthy. Stay safe everyone!
I’m almost 78 but you’re doing exactly what I want to do.. such a sweet lady and a beautiful home.
Don't just think about it, do it.
Thank you Karen! Really like the idea of sharing decks ☺️
Karen, TH Expeditions is the best.
Did you see the shade sail attached to two adjacent homes? That's so neighborly 😀
Again, the best I've seen and that's saying a lot!
i absolutely love her, her attitude is amazing and it's something I feel inspired by!
We have a great community. Thanks for watching the video.
Thank you for the kind feedback Paul! Here's one other from the village: ruclips.net/video/dtkXwgQlcbc/видео.html unfortunately due to the pandemic, we're able to do more but definitely want to return!
Sandy u r living the way I want to..can’t get hubby to agree sigh..I’m 67..I wake up and clean,do yard work and all the things that goes with a house.lthen turn around and repeat.I’m soo ready to downsize..maybe one day…many blessings🩷 your home is soo pretty and your fur baby is too..
So inspiring to see an older person navigating and managing her own life. I too am an older person and look forward to maintaining my autonomy for well, ever!
Hi Joanne, how are you doing?
I was genuinely surprised to find out she’s 77. Her energy and spirit make her seem much younger. Sweet lady. Sound advice too.
Amazing lady with a fabulous outlook on life. She is living proof that age is just a number. It is wonderful to see her so contented in her beautiful home. May she spend many, many more years of happiness and security here.
💗
Thanks for watching.
Our landowner is a great guy.
Really beautiful! Thank you for sharing ~ what an inspiration you are!! I am 74 and have thought of tiny home living - it's my husband who isn't keen on the idea! Oh well ~ we shall see!! Be well and happy Sandy!
Hi Bonnie, how are you doing?
I think this is such a WONDERFUL woman, so kind and real, honest,I hope when I'm her age,I'm 56 , I HOPE I can be as happy, content, and like she said secure!!owning your own space, you LOVE for your FOREVER home!! Good luck! Stay safe, will stay informed with your journey!!
Fantastic little house and home. I'm 77 my wife is 74 and we are still living in a 3 bedroom 2 story home with chairlifts so my wife can get to the grd floor safely. Enjoy your tiny house and your cute little watch dog.
Ok. This is IT! What a FABulous home! Well planned, no wasted space, very smartly designed. Hope Sandy enjoys it for many years to come!
Sandy is marvellous, I am amazed that she is 77 because she doesnt look it. I love her tiny home and her tiny dog.
I cannot believe Sandy is 77!😳 She looks incredible! She has created a stunning home! Thanks for sharing it with us.🙏🏻 I would love to have the availability to live tiny where I live. 🌊
Hi 👋 Darris, how are you doing ?
Very nice, and a great idea for seniors, she has a very nice home of her own, and has people nearby, great video
Hi 👋 Tessy, how are you doing?
What a beautiful story! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us, Sandy. You are an inspiration.
Thanks Sophie. Glad you liked my house,
I really love your house!! The biggest reason is because you are able to stand in your bedroom. I get real claustrophobic when I see tiny homes with lofts that you have to be on your knees constantly. I could not live like that. This is just perfect!! :)
What a beautiful house. And such a lovely kind lady who knows what she wants. Wishing you the best of a long life.
Thanks for wishing me the best of a long life. I am hoping for many more years.
Thanks for watching. I hope to have a long life.
It's great to see how happy this woman is, how much she loves her home and her community!
You are an inspiration to our generation, and your home is wonderful!
What a wonderful home! Living her best life with her Best Furbaby! Zoey is PRECIOUS!!! 🐾♥🐾
Hello Daryl how are you doing!!
Hi Daryl, how are you doing?
Hhhh
Omg😍❤️I can't believe she's 77 years old! Wow😍 she looks way younger.
.... I like her patio, her kitchen and her bedroom. She's has so much room.
I have watched many videos on Tiny Homes but this interview was one of my favorites. If l can find a community like this in Northern California I would definitely do the tiny home living.
Thanks for watching Rosa.
I live in Northern California too, if you find a community let me know! LOL!
Agree wholeheartedly. 👍💯💕
@@sjladuke75 Thanks Susan. I hope you find a great place to live.
I love your tiny home, and I love your view on life. At 2 weeks shy of 71, I agree “less is more”….May you continue to live a healthy, peaceful life.
This is just gorgeous for your forever home. Excellent taste. Congratulations on your decision to go tiny. Continued happiness.

Hello Jamie how are you doing!!
Wonderful interview. I am 73 and traveling alone in my little motorhome. My plan is to move into a tiny home when living on the road is finished. I love the idea of community. Thank you.
Sounds wonderful!

Thanks Andree. Yes, I love my home.
Love everything about this lady; her tiny house, her sweet doggie zoe, her attitude, her organizational skills and the list goes on. So special.
I love how relaxed Zoe 🐕 is chilling on her legs 😍 Lovely lady, dog and home ❤, especially the easily accessable bedroom is super 😊👍
Beautiful for 77, God bless you
she's a gem
Thanks.
Best village, owner, and Sandy's home...so blessed.
Yes, I chose this spot because of the storage units. I never completely close my blinds as I like light. Thanks for watching.
Thank you Tiny House Expedition for bringing this video to us.
Most welcome ☺️❤️
