I don't really like if people use them for sleepers, as those AT cases are kind of hard to get for a reasonable price and they have to be modified to fit an ATX case.
My dad has the same cooler from 5:00. He built the PC in 2007, didn't think I would ever see it in the wild. And I have the same cooler from 7:00. Crazy
RandomGamingInHD: i5 750 is still a solid choice Linus Tech Tips: i7 3770 IS THIS A GAMING PC???? that is why i like this channel much. he still treats ancient components as if it is new unlike other channels lol
I think as long as the case has good airflow it’s good, but most of the time it’s more about what’s inside... as long as the games u play runs at 60fps on most games then ur good. Also good video.
It's Pikablu here, Thanks for showing off my build! I am so sorry you all had to see this. Note my 3 different colour RAM sticks, and I'm glad I got a case so it didn't have to sit on a Tesco Catalogue anymore.
I find that very funny. I just watched a video from another youtube (random .. something i dont remember the name) .. he showed off his viewers computer rooms, too. And none of the rooms he featured looked remotely like "real" rooms that people work or play games in. They were of course all much, much nicer than anything you showed. With fully designed (and very expensive) lighting, computers, monitor setups - spotless and perfect. And here you show your PC setups .. dusty, a bit smudgy - and lived in. (and on average probably about 10.000$ less expensive) - well, its a nice contrast for sure. And now that i watched two of those videos, i am sure youtube will recommend tons more for the next month.
Keep up the great videos. The budget builds reminds me of my Sony Vio pc that I cobbled together in 2004. Dual dvd burners, the fastest Pentium 4 from ebay to fit the Intel 865 board, along with an ATI HIS ICE Q HD4670 8x agp graphics card. I had that pc until it died in 2008, then i went to laptops until 2020. I bought a refurbished Alienware R8 with an i5 9600k and RTX 2070 gpu in March and have since built a 3900x system for the living room.
THIIIISSSSS is the greatest thumbnail I've seen. Now I'm going to show you all of the quirks and features this thumbnail has and then I'm going to give it a SteveScore (Steve is the owner of this channel)
Hope you're switching from your 1080p/144hz monitor as well. Better be 4k/120hz minimum to even utilize the 3080. That's the real hype. $700 for a new card, means you need to spend $700 on a monitor that makes the card worth buying.
@@crazynamehere6701 So the 3080 isn't worth it with 1440p. 10900k bottleneck this card the high end of consument CPU. 3070 willbe propably good for 1440p.
Being from the States, I've been blessed to have Microcenter as an in-store & online retailer; Pairing CEX with Poundland kinda kills that, tho. Lol. 🖱🍵
I love your chanel, i'm oldscool overclocker and banchmarks lover/gamer, now i finishing my oldschool monster pc project and i will sent you pics... 💜💜💜
never ever going to make it onto one of these , sent my rig the first week you started doing this .... ive upgraded twice since i sent my submission XD
HI RGINHD im not realy uppgrading for the tiny bit of added peformance but for competetive benchmarks you get hardware points for benchmarks whit different types of hardware its a passions of mine and a big hobby aswell sure its expensive but soo is smoking atleast this is not bad for my health right??? awesome that you wanted to feature my system love your channel and keep up the amazing work buddy :)
The A320M-A Pro Max is an excellent board. I've built with it once. With an Athlon 3000G it was almost stable with the ram at XMP-3200 On a 2x8 GeIL 16GB Kit! Unfortunately several months later there was a single BSOD, so I went over and flashed his bios to the newest version and also reduced the memory clock to 2666mhz because I can't have him have a BSOD.
I have a really restrictive front panel, and fully negative airflow works the best at least in my case. adding front intake only makes turbulence noise and hotter gpu
I'm new to pc building and I had a question. Will a refurbished CPU will instantly work on my system or even then you need to instal some BIOS stuff or whatever?
No matter if you buy new or used, you should always 1. update the bios before initial boot up 2. Update the driver's for the cpu after install. As to will it work without it? It can, though not always (but like I said)
There is a performance difference when going from a 9900K to 10900K since you're going from 8 core and 16 threads to 10 cores and 20 threads which will benefit workstation type of tasks, not to mention the thinner die giving better thermal performance. The 9900K is basically a 10700K now.
I really want to do one of those sleeper builds in an old case. But those cases aren't as easy to find as one would think or I don't know where to look. Both could be possible.
My rig: i7-4790 Zotac GTX 1070 (upgraded twice from a 745 then a 970) 16GB DDR3 (Hynix, I think is the make) 1TB Samsung 860 Evo SSD + 2TB Seagate HDD + old as hell 640GB Western Digital HDD Arctic Freezer 33 eSports One (replaced the crappy Intel stock cooler) Dell XPS 8700 motherboard taken out from the original case which is now in the bin! 650W Riotoro Enigma G2 80+ Gold PSU (upgraded twice from a crappy Dell 460W then a EVGA 600W White) All of this inside a NZXT S340 case: i.imgur.com/FNMCppB.jpg One fan at the top and another at the back. @@karai5082 the pound is British currency. I did a double take when he said that one case was a 250 pound case. 😆
Karai pound is another word for sex as well as a British currency
