      It's a socket 775 system, motherboard is ga-g41m-combo, 320gb+1tb hdd, gt 1030, 8gb ddr3, q9300.
I do happen to have a dead HP SFF z200 prebuilt, which I took the hard drive, dvd drive from.

Inkling Boy - BLK • 555 • All three of us have a g41 lol I like building stuff with older parts to see what you can push them to do. I have an Asrock G41mt with an i3 2100 (2 core 3.1ghz) which I’m upgrading to a 4 core. It also has 8gb of DDR3, 430W EVGA psu and a Redeon R7 260x that I bought for $2 because it was corroded and rusty. Cleaned it up and it works great. I’m also building another rig with a m4a87td motherboard and a 6 core Phenom x6 1055t I bought for $10. Damn, how did you wash it? I throw my stuff in the dish washer and then blow dry it with a hair dryer. Keep building lads, best way to learn.

Hey. It's my setup at 7:10 :). And anyone wondering, I got that case for just about 40$, it was one of the cheapest available, and it's great for that amount of money. And about PS2, it was a big part of my childhood, but I never owned one, so I got it like a year ago. It's a legendary console, and it was always a special one for me. There's also a PS3 slim right next to it that I got recently, and I also enjoy playing some great games on it.

@RandomGaminginHD the TUF laptops are great, I own a current series job with Ryzen 5 3550H and GTX1650 with 16GB DDR4. Lovely little unit, wasn't too expensive and yes they're a bit plasticky but honestly I could care less - I got it for the price-to-performance and not because it was 2mm thick... which it isn't. On the up side it doesn't get stupidly hot and keeps noise reasonble when under load. For the budget minded laptop buyer I'd defintely recommend having a look at one of these.

I've honestly never had good judgement with power supplies, I had a previous PC with an even worse one, this one's done me great so far, but I knew already it needed upgrading as it's only 80+ bronze (My last wasn't even rated) But I enjoyed hearing what you had to say anyways. Definitely in the market for a better one now lol
    P.S. it's actually a 600w not a 500w, my bad haha

I am currently building a computer in that same old case at 16:50 in the video. I'm going a different route with making the complete system look like something modern instead of going the Sleeper PC route.. More like a resto-mod if you are comparing it to a car build. I'm actually taking the front panel and modifying it to fit on a different chassis. Hopefully after the current isolation ends i'll be able to get back on track and get all of the parts I need to complete this thing.

My work had gotten bought out a few years back, and though they kept the employees, they got rid of a few of the computers. I was able to acquire 2 Dell inspirons with i5 4440 and 8 gb ram. I upgraded both to be budget friendly/backup gaming PCs. I ended giving one to my dad, then the other I gave to my brother in law so he could finally start gaming on PC. Both I added a 500 GB SSD, 1TB HDD. Both PCs still run fine. One I added a GTX 1050ti and the other had a GTX 970.

11:15 - I've got a Asus Tuf Fx505 with a ryzen 5 3550H and the Gtx 1650 non max q, it's a very good laptop and pretty cheap for a gaming laptop, fans are loud though, and the bios offers no fan control or over clocking or anything. Asus made it too thin, they should have made it a few mm thicker to have a better cooling solution. I've given it liquid metal mod which has helped a bit but not much.
It runs most games at 1080p/60 on high or ultra, the screen is 120hz though but I'm happy with 60fps

i just upgraded from a 1060 3gb and i’m so happy. the 1060 is a great card but the 3gb version is a real head-scratcher. normal 1060s are still great today but half the games you would normally be able to run are basically unplayable with the low VRAM. Playing warzone on the lowest setting went over my 3gbs when normal call of duty would run flawlessly. if you can manage it, a normal 1060 or 1660 will do you so much better.

However I really want to build a powerful sleeper using a 2080ti and 9900k with all green pcbs, ketchup and mustard cables, flat ribbon cables, zip/floppy/blue ray drives, and a bunch of green pcb add on cards like sound card/nic/wireless/ide controller. Stuff it inside of an old lian li or Silverstone case with a retro style cooler that looks like it’s supposed to go on a fancy motorcycle. Imagine being able to use a zip or floppy disk on your modern computer.

I own a Sapphire Pulse RX 5600 XT paired with a Ryzen 5 3600 and it plays most of the games that I have at >144fps with a couple of graphical tweaking. the card suffers from black screens before but the new AMD drivers have solved most of those issues it still does happen every once in a while but I am overall happy with the card!
