@@TallicaMan1986 They shouldn’t be, at least not with Dragon Ball Z. None of the DBZ movies (except BoG and RoF) are canon, but both the Future Trunks and Bardock OVAs are, so they should be distinguished from each other.
Although some may disagree, really always enjoyed Bardok's movie the most. As almost a prequel to the entire series and franchise ad a whole, the pretty brutal and harrowing story of death and defiance is great in action and story really. The extended version also adds a little something cool (regardless if it's canon or not).
I also like the Bardock movie more, i would put it as #1, the final scene of Goku facing Freeza, is just amazing and huge reminder of how epic is the namek saga.
The old Dragon Ball Z Movie art style and animation is what I still considered the very best among the rest regardless of how bad some of their movies were. Dragon Ball Super: Broly's animation and art style somewhat came close though, but DBZ movies' are definitely iconic, and not just because I'm being nostalgic. The OG Broly movie was god damn amazing. Especially at the time, it was crazy. Fun facts about the first Broly Movie: Initially, Broly's motive on why he hated Goku was meant to be left with ambiguity, with it leaning more on "Aside from his father, Goku is the only thing left that reminds him about the negative events that happened on Planet Vegeta, and with little context, he thought Goku's crying made him look weak in front of everyone else, which he thought led to his stabbing". It was the 2nd Broly movie that made him have a bigger grudge than he did, as well as a poorer motive. The initial motive correlates with the confirmed fact that he was going to be the evil version of Jiren: A warrior who seeks power and nothing more, and is willing to attain it no matter the cost. In the end, he would have questioned his life and motive with "Who am I exactly?", realizing how much of his life he threw away.
Cooler’s first movie is still my personal favorite. His transformation is still badass. Wish they gave Frieza something similar. Loved Brody going SS the first time. That scream was primal. And the family kamehemeha is 🔥🔥🔥

Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan will always be my favorite. Why does every villain in anime always have to have a plan, purpose, or goal to achieve? In real life, many villains are those who are understood the least. This movie makes Broly a mentally unstable villain that is simply out of control with his enormous power. While he is cruel and sadistic, we can’t say that he is pure evil. His conscious is simply absent after the training by his father, the scars of his birth and attempted murder, and years under his father’s mind control. In addition, he is given a certain appearance of invincibility and ever rising unlimited power reminiscent of superheroes like Superman, Hulk, and The Juggernaut. His strength is immense and it seems that every single attack against him, whether energy based or physical, is completely ineffective. His lack of personal character only makes him more terrifying because without very much character development, the Z fighters are left without a clue about what Broly wants nor how to stop him. The environment color change only highlights the fact that his power is otherworldly compared to any other character.
Return of Cooler had so much potential, it really could/should have been a top 5 movie. However the base of the plot where cooler just happens to get a random super chip floating around in space that can create metal clones of himself that are stronger than super saiyans had to much plot convenience to make it all work.
dbza said it best: frieza did it. even the metal part... blowing up a planet. its just such a lame plot. it could of gone so much better and further but it was a copy of frieza.
Unpopular opinion, I love the Lord Slug movie. Freezing the planet was a unique take on planet domination, the minions all had cool abilities and designs, and the "False Super Saiyan" transformation looks sick as hell. And when Slug regenerated his arm, revealed he was a Namekian, and used his giant form, it genuinely surprised me (keep in mind, I was 11-12 when I first saw it). On top of that, the Goku/Piccolo Kaio-Ken is one of the best, and most brutal, uses of the Kaio-Ken I've ever seen.
The most underrated dbz movie imo! Piccolo showing up to help gohan sends absolute chills down ya spine, the soundtrack was 100/10 the villan and entire concept was super unique & original
As much as I love the DBS: Broly movie, I still love the older DBZ movies even though none of them are considered canon. I may be a bit biased here because of nostalgic reasons, but the quality of work in the animation and the well detailed art style that shows little to no sloppiness to them. Some if not most of the plot may not be as compelling compared to other animated movies in general, but the enjoyment factor watching the animation smoothly go on frame by frame shows that the artists and animators did put a lot of hard work into them. The newer animated movies rely too much on CGI and other advance methods that doesn't always look quite as good and lack details. If they have only used the same quality and art style as what they used on the older DBZ movies or better yet the opening of Final Bout then it would most certainly stand the test of time.
Honestly, I feel like nothing touches the intro to Coolers Revenge. That was so heat, from Bardocks speech to Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta to Coolers speech. Chills.
Here’s a recommendation Watchmojo. Top 10 Dragon Ball arcs. And whatever you do don’t say that the Namek Saga, Ginyu Saga and Frieza Saga are three different arcs. If it follows Goku and his friends on Namek using the Dragon Balls to bring back their dead friends and defeat Frieza it’s the whole Frieza saga.
This is one of the most satisfying lists you ever made, WatchMojo! I don't really disagree with any picks or points made. The remake of Broly is indeed the best, and I cannot forget seeing it in theaters, it was a TRUE EXPERIENCE, and yes, the art style was MAGNIFICENT, just stunning
The broly movie nailed it. The ramp up in intensity was perfect, the lack of unnecessary story or dialog added to the epic feel of the fights. The finale was so powerful even though no one died. The power displayed was fantastic. And seeing what gogeta could do was the cherry on top. The final kamehameha used always hyped me up
@@mathprodigy this list isn't accurate at all dude they have super hero in number 4 when it should be number 1 or 2. How are they gonna put the most balanced and overall best db movie in number 4 spot?
@@ggamesgarner8027 hahaha hey man I appreciate your opinion, I personally loved the movie myself, watched it in theater last Friday. I just didn't have enough qualms with their list to gripe , I understood their reasoning... obviously no two lists will ever be the same because it's an opinion based thing.
I have a few problems with this list but how can you not mention the amazing sound tracks of the old movies, in my opinion the first cooler movie has one of the best soundtrack's out of any movie, and 10s by Pantera as brolys theme always gives me chills
My older brother was the one who got me into the series with Cooler’s Revenge, a couple of old action figures, and Budokai 3. Hearing Deftones “Change” playing as Goku turns Super Saiyan against Cooler is what made me into the diehard Dragon Ball fan that I am today, and it even got my mom into the franchise!
well, its tricky to go by soundtrack as a factor since english dub changued a lot of those, people who watched on a different dub, or in the og version wouldnt get that.
My personal favorite is Cooler’s Revenge with the American soundtrack. Goku transforming to Change is one of my favorite DBZ moments. Cooler’s final form looks badass. Piccolo really gets to shine and it was a simpler time when Super Saiyan really meant something
The emotional weight of The History of Trunks really just can't be beat by any other DBZ movie. I remember watching that movie as a kid and just LOVING the story and the hopelessness that the movie conveyed. It also solidified for me the fact that Android 17 and 18 would forever be my favorite anime characters of all time.
I think Cooler's Revenge, Bardock, Father of Goku and Fusion Reborn were my first 3 DBZ movies I watched. Man, those were awesome. The way Goku transformed, and virtually revived that bird, and it flew off, leaving Cooler dumbstruck is something I'll never forget. Plus with Fusion Reborn, I must not have been paying enough attention when I was that little, but I thought Goku was fighting LITERAL Satan until I played Infinite World xD
I regularly go back watching the likes of the first Cooler and Lord Slug with enjoying the soundtrack. The Broly movie I can concur as among the best movies of the franchise.
Super Hero is my favorite so far. Piccolo has been my favorite character ever since I started watching the series 20 years ago. So seeing him and Gohan get a long over due power up was nice.
I actually didn't enjoy it on first viewing. But I decided to give it another chance and ended up really liking it! It hearkens back to those side quest DBZ movies from the 90s! Also, I REALLY liked the fact that they didn't stupidly resurrect the original Cell, but rather created a kind of clone monster for the "Boss battle" at the end. It worked with Gohan's plight in the movie. And the score was also pretty badass and unique!
YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! Dragon Ball Super Broly is the #1 movie in Dragon Ball Movies. Toriyama redeemed Broly and he deserves to be in Dragon Ball anime.
Bojack Unbound is favorite of the bunch, I still rewatch it almost every year, I know everything that happens like the palm of my hand yet is still super fun to get through every time.
History of Trunks is by far the best movie which comes to show what anime could be if plot armour wasn't a thing. Is dark but it shows real struggle. After the Freeza saga there isn't such a thing as struggle shown in characters even when they could potentially lose a fight risking everyone's lives.
Bojack unbound was my first dbz movie I owned as a child (funimation 📼) Battle of gods was special holds a wholesome memory in my heart Dbs broly was my first theater experience(2nd viewing) and it still made me lost my mind Dbs: super hero was a movie I didn’t think I would enjoy compared to the stature as the broly movie with an enjoyable content and focus on the characters outside of the recent sayain trio
The Tree of Might is severely underrated. My mom got me that film on accident one time and I told her to just do that whenever she wanted to buy me something anime related because I loved it so much
There's actually a theory that the DBZ films are retellings of the anime arcs to attract new fans but keeping the same elements of the anime (super sayin transformation against a Frieza like villain, future Trunks android timeline, and a Namekian villian.)
The #1 movie has to be the history of trunks. The scene where trunks transforms to ssj in a fit of rage and sorrow after losing his mentor and his only close friend in the post apocalyptic world with the Androids really hits hard on an emotional level
much like Dragon Ball Z: Bardock, The Father of Goku Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks story is an essential chapter in Dragon Ball history that looks to the past to find a deeper appreciation of the present excellently said.👍
When I was watching the older movies (in the 90’s) I was anywhere from 7-9. I cared very little for plot. It was all about the soundtrack (Deftones and Pantera) and cool transformations. Lord Slug is my most nostalgia filled favorite movie. And the newer Broly movie is probably my favorite all time.
You can say what you want and I know a lot of people that are basic and live on nostalgia might disagree but Dragon Ball Super Broly is one of the best movies in Dragon Ball history the fights were amazing, the plot was great, the animations and graphics were top tier, Vegeta finally went ssjg and not only did the legendary beast Broly become cannon but so did Gogeta this movie was one of dragonball’s all time highs and it was just amazing it’s definitely my favorite and definitely in the top 3 best dragon ball movies
Agreed. I loved that they expanded more on Broly's personality and made him actually a pretty sweet guy, even if his power and rage overwhelm him sometimes. I mean, the guy was abused by his dad and yet still loved him so much. I just want to hug him. Plus they gave him friends and a redemption arc, meaning that we get to see more of him. Broly was always one of my favorite characters, but his redesign is even better than the original.
@@xreplex6107 so a revenge schemed by Paragus because the Vegeta lineage soiled his name and made him a renegate, iyo is under, a Bulma that even after being a good wife and mother, is still fucking childish, or a size complexed frieza, even if his 2nd form, transformed Krilin into shish-kebab?
@@Yansko-san 1) Paragus scheme in the old DBZ Broly movie is completely nonsensical (also non-canon) and accomplishes nothing, not to mention revenge is the laziest villain motivation from a writing perspective. 2) Bulma has always been childish; that aspect of her character never changed, and when was she ever presented as a good mother and wife? 3) Frieza has always had a size complex; why do you think he uses those gigantic form 2 and 3 transformations to begin with? My understanding is that his final (smaller) form is his true form, the golden form is a multiplier similar to super saiyan. The others were there to conserve his power and/or intimidate. The Dragon Ball Super Broly movie was written by the creator of Dragon Ball and is true to how these characters were in DBZ.
I agree with this worst to best. Gogeta is so badass, his appearance always shines through any media, whether it's GT, games or movies. He's just too badass to ignore.
I think super android 13 needs more love. Mostly non stop action, cool fights, the three super saiyans together (when it wasn't really common), and what I think should be included is HOW Goku used the spirit bomb. I think we're all a little tired of the spirt bomb, but him absorbing it was refreshing.
Fr bro goated opinion, I love that movie so much too, I really want Turles in DBFZ, he's just so sick, the movie as a whole tho is so great, having all the Z fighters together in action is awesome on top of being unique story wise as well, love that movie so much, deserved to be higher on the list
Super Android 13! is hands down one of my all time favorite DBZ films. For me it had a great alternate plot, Android 13 being an awesomely cool Villain and great fights. I do gotta say in defense I actually like Bio-Broly and Sleeping Princess in Devil’s Castle both films had greatness in their own way, I felt Bio-Broly kinda reminded me of one of David Cronenberg's films while Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle had the stereotypical 80s Horror films. But when you really dive deep thru the new Dragon Ball Super: Superhero film there are references to older DBZ films like The World's Strongest, Return of Cooler, Super Android 13! and Bio-Broly or a kinda of remake.
half of these i never knew were movies or never heard of like bardock's death, future gohan fighting 17 & 18, the battle of gods, and the tree of might
I do find myself agreeing with list, for the most part. I feel that Super Hero belongs closer to the middle, but I'm starting to feel like the only one thinking this. I definitely agree with the DBS: Broly movie taking the number 1 spot. It was a fantastic movie from the beginning until the end. The canonical retelling of Broly's origins not only makes him an interesting character, but a sympathetic antagonist. He doesn't harbor any ill will towards anyone, but his manipulative father is making him fight. While part of me misses the psychotic, blood thirty monster that he originally was, his newest version is an overall better character.
DBS Broly is my favorite too, and I actually really liked Super Hero, mostly because it was fan service towards Piccolo fans such as myself. And think that deserves top 5 at least.
@@leultrainstinct406 Yeah. I know people have their own opinions but Superhero is at least tied with Broly. The movie was great and personally my favorite super film.
@@dr.tacophd1239 i do think Cell Max was wasted potential. I think having him be a redesign perfect form, with memories of his fight with Gohan, would have added much more depth to the fight and actually allowed the VA for Cell to shine again.
The first brolly film was the best.Brolly was unapologetic badass with pure intent to beat everyone i will never forget his lines when he went beast mode :Kakarot you will be the first of my victims....EPIC
@@vertxkuro3150 the jiren fight had the entire world having giant watch parties and broke the internet Not to mention it’s impactful cuz jiren is the opposite of goku.
super Broly was great ofc, but for some reason I never got the overwhelming sensation of Brolys power. maybe it was the mood I was in or just the pacing of it and maybe I'm the only one who feels this way
I completely agree. There is something about the original Broly movie that makes him appear to be a monstrous enemy in the sense that his power is otherworldly and limitless.
Eh personally I thought the Broly movie while having great animation was a bit below Battle Of God's for me. That is The best Movie that fully Encompasses the Dragon Ball Series not just Z. Super Broly kinda does that but the beauty for me in toriyamas work was his balance of Humor mixed with Action and Story. Battle of Gods imo delivers all of those things. Yes..... Shintani style is amazing but the Story is still kinda meh for me. I like the movie just believe Broly was ok.
Dragon Ball Z: Bardock- The Father of Goku is one of my most favorite Dragon Ball films of all time since I was a kid! And I sometimes wish Goku would've remembered his father and wish him back to life with either the Earth's Dragon Balls or the Namekian Dragon Balls. Back when I was in high school, I imagined a crossover of Dragon Ball Z and GT with the MYST series and in MYST IV Revelation, Goku meets Bardock in the Age of Serenia where Bardock was able to keep his body and for him to redeem himself and of his sins, he becomes the Guardian of Serenia and protect the world because its where dreams and memories of the dead come and be remembered, including Bardock's dreams and memories. Also, I like A Hero's Legacy, especially the ending where Goku Jr. meets his great-grandfather, Goku, who's now the new Guardian of the Dragon Balls
Battle of Gods may be the first movie to be considered canon to the original manga continuity, but DBS Broly was the first movie to stay canon. Since BoG and RF were retconned by season 1 & 2 of DBS; both of which also made huge improvements over the original stories at the cost of watered down animation.
Am I the only one that thinks the “Super” movies are getting overrated. I still think some of the classic movies are superior. And the 4 Super movies are fun, but they shouldn’t even be top 5. And I feel the fact that a bunch of people saw them on theaters recently, and their experience makes makes them hold the films higher than they should be. Therefore, making the films too overrated. And no...Super Broly isn't #1. It's a #6 at best.
1. ‘Dragon Ball Super: Broly.’ 2. ‘Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F.’ 3. ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.’ 4. ‘Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.’ These are my top 4 most favorite Dragon Ball movies. 😁

Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan will always be my favorite. Why does every villain in anime always have to have a plan, purpose, or goal to achieve? @James Ma it had some of the best fight animation in dragon ball, and toriyama made the story, so it was pretty awesome alongside
@@papereater742 And it also made both Broly and Gogeta canon.
Same.... And the memes...oh the sweet memes
lord slug is definitely better than worlds strongest
Jesus loves you 🙏🏽❤️
Honestly, I feel like nothing touches the intro to Coolers Revenge. That was so heat, from Bardocks speech to Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta to Coolers speech. Chills.
It’s so underrated. One of the hardest for sure
Zamasu arc is the best arc
@@onepieceforever4475 Moro and Goku black/zamazu are my favorite arcs
Agree but I didn't read moro arc is really that good ?
My gosh has no one here heard of the Frieza Saga. I swear people need to remember the story that put Dragon Ball in the forefront in the first place.
@I am batman Let me guess, you're a kid?
Bojack always was one of my favorite
The final kamehameha used always hyped me up
@@miguelortiz8350 i agree with everything you said lmao did you see it in theaters?

Well technically the episodes of trunks and bardock are not films but tv specials.
True, but it is what it is
And if they are going to put specials in, then why not do Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans
@@deckzone3000 that was one of my thoughts, in addition to the other bardock episode (as mid as they are).

I have a few problems with this list but how can you not mention the amazing sound tracks of the old movies, in my opinion the first cooler movie has one of the best soundtrack's out of any movie, and 10s by Pantera as brolys theme always gives me chills
We not talking bout soundtracks doe we talking bout iconic scenes that made the movies good
The dub
My older brother was the one who got me into the series with Cooler’s Revenge, a couple of old action figures, and Budokai 3. Hearing Deftones “Change” playing as Goku turns Super Saiyan against Cooler is what made me into the diehard Dragon Ball fan that I am today, and it even got my mom into the franchise!
they placed the super broly movie on top that´s how wrong they are
well, its tricky to go by soundtrack as a factor since english dub changued a lot of those, people who watched on a different dub, or in the og version wouldnt get that.
Cooler's Revenge was such a huge part of my life growing up
It's a special movie for me
Fusion Reborn Has Always Been And Always Will Be My Favorite Dbz Movie Of All Time
As it should be. Idk why it's not the last DBZ movie.
@@thediaz07 Yeah I Know Right
The best db movie of all time❤
Tree of Might was a childhood fav of mines.
My personal favorite is Cooler’s Revenge with the American soundtrack. Goku transforming to Change is one of my favorite DBZ moments. Cooler’s final form looks badass. Piccolo really gets to shine and it was a simpler time when Super Saiyan really meant something
Cooler final form looks like the predator.
The 90s was the best time for Dragon Ball
I think Cooler's Revenge, Bardock, Father of Goku and Fusion Reborn were my first 3 DBZ movies I watched. Man, those were awesome. The way Goku transformed, and virtually revived that bird, and it flew off, leaving Cooler dumbstruck is something I'll never forget.
Plus with Fusion Reborn, I must not have been paying enough attention when I was that little, but I thought Goku was fighting LITERAL Satan until I played Infinite World xD
Yo the Broly movie was dope af!Idk what you guys were on but I was obsessed with that movie as a kid🔥🔥🔥
This new Broly is amazing I can’t wait to see more of him
Coolers revenge soundtrack was dope
I regularly go back watching the likes of the first Cooler and Lord Slug with enjoying the soundtrack. The Broly movie I can concur as among the best movies of the franchise.
Resurrection F being that high on the list is a crime.
Super Hero is my favorite so far. Piccolo has been my favorite character ever since I started watching the series 20 years ago. So seeing him and Gohan get a long over due power up was nice.
Getting Gohan Blanco and Piccolo Naranja was pretty cool.
It was a really wacky movie which I liked
Rip Mr.Toriyama. Your life’s work and legacy will live on forever🧡🐉🔥
Return of Cooler is Top 5 and Broly vs Gohan is one of the best choreographed fights in the movies
YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! Dragon Ball Super Broly is the #1 movie in Dragon Ball Movies. Toriyama redeemed Broly and he deserves to be in Dragon Ball anime.
Dragon Ball Super must have a Sequel series. Because at this point, SUPER is much better than GT.
Bojack Unbound is favorite of the bunch, I still rewatch it almost every year, I know everything that happens like the palm of my hand yet is still super fun to get through every time.
It’s night favorite and criminally underrated!!
History of Trunks is by far the best movie which comes to show what anime could be if plot armour wasn't a thing. Is dark but it shows real struggle. After the Freeza saga there isn't such a thing as struggle shown in characters even when they could potentially lose a fight risking everyone's lives.
Bojack unbound was my first dbz movie I owned as a child (funimation 📼)
Battle of gods was special holds a wholesome memory in my heart
Dbs broly was my first theater experience(2nd viewing) and it still made me lost my mind
Dbs: super hero was a movie I didn’t think I would enjoy compared to the stature as the broly movie with an enjoyable content and focus on the characters outside of the recent sayain trio
OG Brolly movie HANDS DOWN !
The Tree of Might is severely underrated. My mom got me that film on accident one time and I told her to just do that whenever she wanted to buy me something anime related because I loved it so much
💯
Tree of Might is definitely to low
@@yungbrick All the older movies where the Z fighters show up ready for screentime were lit!
There's actually a theory that the DBZ films are retellings of the anime arcs to attract new fans but keeping the same elements of the anime (super sayin transformation against a Frieza like villain, future Trunks android timeline, and a Namekian villian.)
Bojack unbound is probably my favorite of the z movies. It's simple and the transformation of Gohan to super saiyan 2 is one of my favorites.
Have you watched DBS: Superhero?
Bojack sucks. I hated copy-Goku Gohan, the villain was barely in it, and Krillin was outright disrespected.
Great ranking enjoyed this video
Broly and Super Hero have pushed DB movies to new heights. Fusion Reborn is the best of the old school DBZ movies.
I agree ☝️😁
The #1 movie has to be the history of trunks. The scene where trunks transforms to ssj in a fit of rage and sorrow after losing his mentor and his only close friend in the post apocalyptic world with the Androids really hits hard on an emotional level
much like
Dragon Ball Z: Bardock, The Father of Goku
Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks
story is an
essential chapter in Dragon Ball history
that looks to the past to find a deeper appreciation of the present
excellently said.👍
When I was watching the older movies (in the 90’s) I was anywhere from 7-9.
@Haku Yuki Certainly better than any other broly movie
@@xreplex6107 so a revenge schemed by Paragus because the Vegeta lineage soiled his name and made him a renegate, iyo is under, a Bulma that even after being a good wife and mother, is still fucking childish, or a size complexed frieza, even if his 2nd form, transformed Krilin into shish-kebab?
@@Yansko-san
1) Paragus scheme in the old DBZ Broly movie is completely nonsensical (also non-canon) and accomplishes nothing, not to mention revenge is the laziest villain motivation from a writing perspective.
Resurrection F at 5 is insulting on so many levels
I know, shouldn't even be close to top 10.
The Cooler and Super Broly movie were my favourites
I think super android 13 needs more love. Mostly non stop action, cool fights, the three super saiyans together (when it wasn't really common), and what I think should be included is HOW Goku used the spirit bomb. I think we're all a little tired of the spirt bomb, but him absorbing it was refreshing.
I'm sayingggg bojack and super android 13 are Hella underated
Broly the Legendary super Saiyan is the best. The soundtracks , the stakes, The fight sequence was just amazing. Broly was an animal.
Tree of Might will ALWAYS be my favorite film, it's severely underrated.

Fr bro goated opinion, I love that movie so much too, I really want Turles in DBFZ, he's just so sick, the movie as a whole tho is so great, having all the Z fighters together in action is awesome on top of being unique story wise as well, love that movie so much, deserved to be higher on the list
my absolute favorite has to be "Fusion Reborn". it was my first Dragon ball movie and I absolutely love it.
Bro how tf are you gonna put resurrection f and battle of gods way on top that shits like the middle 💀
Dead zone ocean dub looks amazing, they speed up the fights a little bit, makes it look so awesome
I love that they didn't even made a spot for dragon ball evolution if it was on the it would be on -1 .well deserved
10:00 is probably the coolest animation I’ve seen pre-DB Super
Super Android 13! is hands down one of my all time favorite DBZ films. For me it had a great alternate plot, Android 13 being an awesomely cool Villain and great fights. I do gotta say in defense I actually like Bio-Broly and Sleeping Princess in Devil’s Castle both films had greatness in their own way, I felt Bio-Broly kinda reminded me of one of David Cronenberg's films while Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle had the stereotypical 80s Horror films. But when you really dive deep thru the new Dragon Ball Super: Superhero film there are references to older DBZ films like The World's Strongest, Return of Cooler, Super Android 13! and Bio-Broly or a kinda of remake.
i grew up watching all of these as they came out, I actually really like all the new ones
DBZ: Dead Zone is underrated I feel
I've watched it about 20 times as a kid...every Christmas they'd play it...also the garlic Jr saga.... which wasn't too good...but hey.. nostalgia.
No love for the Tien vs Trunk fight from Bojack?!?!?!? It's literally one of the most underrated fights in DBZ history
Cooler vs goku is so good can't wait for dokkan or legends to up the anti on them
half of these i never knew were movies or never heard of like bardock's death, future gohan fighting 17 & 18, the battle of gods, and the tree of might
I do find myself agreeing with list, for the most part.
It's all hype, the super gohan movie is middle of the pack (maybe upper middle, there are some stinkers).
Super hero should’ve easily been top 3 it was phenomenal
DBS Broly is my favorite too, and I actually really liked Super Hero, mostly because it was fan service towards Piccolo fans such as myself. And think that deserves top 5 at least.
@@leultrainstinct406 Yeah. I know people have their own opinions but Superhero is at least tied with Broly. The movie was great and personally my favorite super film.
@@dr.tacophd1239 i do think Cell Max was wasted potential. I think having him be a redesign perfect form, with memories of his fight with Gohan, would have added much more depth to the fight and actually allowed the VA for Cell to shine again.

super Broly was great ofc, but for some reason I never got the overwhelming sensation of Brolys power. maybe it was the mood I was in or just the pacing of it and maybe I'm the only one who feels this way
I completely agree. There is something about the original Broly movie that makes him appear to be a monstrous enemy in the sense that his power is otherworldly and limitless.
I agree, I also feel they should’ve given broly more time to beat up Goku and vegeta but gogeta came and blew his power
Resurrection F being in the top 5 is just the reminder I needed to not click on WatchMojo videos, thank you 😊
I'm not surprised the Broly movies, especially the recent one, were successful, because literally everyone loves that guy.
TFS made the best Broly movie
Eh personally I thought the Broly movie while having great animation was a bit below Battle Of God's for me. That is The best Movie that fully Encompasses the Dragon Ball Series not just Z. Super Broly kinda does that but the beauty for me in toriyamas work was his balance of Humor mixed with Action and Story. Battle of Gods imo delivers all of those things. Yes..... Shintani style is amazing but the Story is still kinda meh for me. I like the movie just believe Broly was ok.
Hell yeah thanks for the video love it your awesome dragon ball movies.
DBS Broly is the best no doubt... But I'd put the og Broly film and first Cooler movie in the top 5
Idk how a lot of these were above Broly. But always a cool blast from the past list I haven't seen any of the Dragon Ball movies.
Super broly stays #1
I have the highest soft spot for Mystical Adventure (My first dragonball movie I got on VHS)
1. ‘Dragon Ball Super: Broly.’
2. ‘Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F.’
3. ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.’
4. ‘Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.’
