All year, when items stay in store for too long they get marked down to .49. There is no “.49 sale” just weekly markdowns and things that don’t sell get marked down to .49. The only exception is the holiday stuff, it usually gets reduced drastically after the holiday passes.
👋🏾 Erica and OCCG. The first Walmart had no 90% off tags and they would not honor the 90% off for the holiday coffee I found hidden in plain sight. They rang up for 6, 11 and 15 dollars, which were clearly clearance prices, but the Lead on duty wouldn't honor the 90%. I left them. At the second Walmart, there was a big holiday clearance section with 90% off signage. Most of my stuff rang up for 40 and 78 cents except the soap, pajamas, and coffee. I asked for the manager, and the supervisor honored the 90% off!!!! String lights were 32 cents, pajamas were $1.50, and coffee was 40 to 70 cents!!!!! I power walked to get more coffee while she was still ringing me up, and, let me tell you, we're set for caffeine for the next six months!!!! I'm enjoying the holiday clearances, but I'm going on a spending diet next month. 🤪 Thank you for your videos. 👌🏾 They're fun and I like seeing you with your family.

I just found your channel. I happened to go there by chance a couple weeks back and got 5 handbags/ crossbody sporty bags for .49 in 2 of the stores near me. None of the other departments were marked down. Found some jeans for $1.99 today (weren’t my size) and a Ralph Lauren fleece jogger (my size) for $2.99 with a tag price of $125! My stores were wiped out in all the other clearance sections today.
It seems like they are staring the clearance event earlier this year. I recall the past two years it all started about the 3rd week of January. My husband found a winter Columbia jacket for only $4.99 and we snagged that up real quick. I have to laugh at those security tags going off in the shoes section. It never fails those things go off constantly while we are in the store.
I love seeing all the deals you find. One of these days, I’m gonna have the little bit of extra money to do more deal hunting. You mentioned trying to get around to as many departments as possible in order to show us the deals in each department. As the video went on, my little book nerd brain started wondering, “does Ross have a book department? If so, are there any deals there?” One of these days, you’re gonna surprise the ever living hell out of me and make a book deal/clearance video. When that day comes, you may hear me cheer at the top of my lungs from all the way up here in Maryland! Lol
Have u ever heard of a store called half priced books?? Also I know the coasts are pretty wasteful, so idk if they do these things there, but here, twice a year our public libraries do book sales (really great deals on books)- plus many of the books are books that were donated that the library never even put out on the shelf (ofc there are library books that they sell that they choose to remove from their collection)!! I’ve found some giant photo books that are like $100+ for $2 (never circulated at the library)😮😮😮 you could also start a tiny library- we have some of those around our neighborhood and lots of great books get exchanged
I have 2 rosses next to me and they both are like this right now. I saw a few 49 cent stuff but it was more baby clothes which I didn’t get because I don’t have a baby lol.

If we want to check the true markdown price, does the associate have to check with their scanner or will it ring up at the register as the actual price? I ask because I had a Christmas item and it seemed like the sales associate didn’t want check the price when I asked her to check with the scanner.
I was at Ross's last week and baught my husband a set of 15lbs weights for $10 for the set which is crazy cheep. They are normally $17-$20 a piece for 15 lbs weights. I also got my daughter some clothes for $2-$5. I wish I knew all of this lol. I'll be watching for sure.
By the way my Walmart didn’t have those sandwich 🥪 makers for 98 or 99 cents plus they didn’t have no dish towels either I wanted and most of it was gone whatever they had at 90 percent off

Yall. Make sure yall pay for the jewelry once you've made up your mind, put it in the car and keep shopping. The year i went the employees put it behind the counter for me, and when i finally went to go pay they didnt have it. I was so mad!!

What are the brands? Some of those brands are no-name, overpriced, not brands we know like Levis, Lululemon, Calvin Klein, etc.
