Will Smith - Victim, Hero & Narcissist - What I Learned When Will Smith Slapped Chris Rock!

  • The people in power & influence who scream the loudest are often the biggest hypocrites! Will Smith assaults Chris Rock and then cries that he is a victim, a hero and a man doing God's work - all at the same time! Smith never took responsibility for his actions - he blamed everyone but himself! He blamed God, Richard Williams and love itself for his violent actions. "Love makes you do crazy things!" These are the words of a perpetrator of domestic violence - not someone who promotes love and kindness. Smith offers an apology to Chris Rock but it lacks heart or sincerity.
Will Smith invited Sadhguru to his house to teach his children; what did Will Smith actually learn from Sadhguru?
Will Smith in his acceptance speech for best actor, takes no responsibility for his violent act slapping Chris Rock. Instead, he blames others - playing the victim, making himself out to be a hero for defending his family, and claims he is doing God’s work.
Helpless victim: “I know to do what we do, you’ve got to be able to take abuse, you’ve got to be able to have people talk crazy about you.”
Narcissist: “I am overwhelmed by what God is calling me to do and be in this world.”
Self-Professed Hero: “I’m being called on in my life to love people and to protect people and to be a river to my people.”
Self-Delusion and justification for violence and uncontrollable rage: “But love will make you do crazy things.”

On Friday, April 1st, 2022, Will Smith resigned from the Academy and his apology was almost identical to what I said he should say in an apology:
“The list of those I have hurt is long and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home,” Smith said. “I betrayed the trust of the Academy. I deprived other nominees and winners of their opportunity to celebrate and be celebrated for their extraordinary work. I am heartbroken.”

Thanks Julesea. What I left out of the video is that it is better to learn from someone else's mistakes than your own i.e. we can all learn from Will Smith's mistakes and that is better than making those same mistakes ourselves and then learning from our mistakes...

Wonderful commentary and insight, Patrick! Will Smith acted out in the worst way imaginable and is getting a pass from Hollywood. Victim, hero, and narcissist are very accurate depictions. At the very least, he should go through anger management to sort out his demons. He should hit you up :).

Shame and embarassment are not " self pity , projection, and justification". Shame and self pity can look identical
Can you do a video on projection?
    Thank you for the insight.

Thank you. Will Smith had so much time that night to reflect on what he did and no one was there to shine the light and let him see clearly what he had done. They became sycophants to Smith. People at the Vanity Fair Oscar's after party danced and partied with him, as he sang and danced to his own songs!

Yep. Anybody who has a clue what narcissism looks like isn't accusing Will of it. Jada is the one showing narcissistic traits. I do think Will has some kind of issue, but not narcissism. What he did was exactly the kind of thing narcissists manipulate their abuse victims to do. They trick them into bad situations that make them look bad.

Thanks Margaret. There is also another angle to this story - people blaming a woman for a man's actions!
Are Women To Blame For Men’s Actions? Is Jada To Blame for Will Smith's Slap of Chris Rock?

Awards shows traditionally include roasts. Chris began the joke with "Jada, I love you." And he said it in a soft, sincere tone. It was not mean spirited. Did you see what Rebel Wilson said about Will Smith at the BAFTAs - prior to the Oscars? She joked: “Will Smith winning for King Richard, but personally I thought his best performance over the past year was being OK with all his wife’s boyfriends!”

As someone that experience narcissistic abuse, I immediately recognize the “charming charismatic good guy“ act he’s playing when really he is super manipulative, insecure and egocentric. They are both toxic AF but everybody coming for Jada as if it’s been coercive control this whole time is unfair. He’s the one who controls his own actions, Jada is not the puppet master. I see it as her being further victimized by his bullshit. She didn’t want the big 40th birthday party, he did. But she’s ungrateful because he did it anyway? She didn’t want to have a big fancy wedding, he did- but she’s the asshole because it happened anyway and she got sick? He is just so phony

@@heartofglass6697 because I’ve experienced several kinds of narcissists. I’ve experienced communal narcissism, where they virtue signal and are working in the church and such “good people “but really they are selfish and entitled narcissists just yearning for adoration and a standing ovation for all the “good deeds” they do. I had a child with a neglectful narcissist, would not even acknowledge my presents in the room or be affectionate in anyway, but yet would be charming to total strangers. I’ve dealt with the vulnerable narcissist that’s always a “woe is me” victim. I’ve dealt with the overt malignant type that has to be the center of attention, doesn’t care who they take out to get to the top. I’ve seen it all and they are both clearly narcissistic- just different kinds.
